HOtel stay is pleasant due to its location and hotel is new. Breakfast spread is good, swimming pool is nice. Staff is friendly.. Caution : dont lose the room key, wil be charged RM10. The hotel was easy to locate as there are many signboards along the road. The whole area was still in development under the Hatten group. The carpark was shared with the Hatten Square shopping malland the lifts serving the carpark is not sufficient. Only two lifts to serve and the waiting time was long. With kids in two and luggage, the transport in […] and out was too cumbersome. Queueing was always a norm. The check-in/check-out procedure queue was very long. The troublesome part was the queue to stamp the parking coupon for complimentary ticket was the same queue with the check-in/check-out. Consequently, every exit from hotel was time-consuming. The lifts serving the hotel was slow and always take long wait. usually during peak hours, second or third round of waiting. The hotel provides free buffet breakfast for 2 pax but the hotel cafeteria's Chatterz is not able to support the capacity of the hotel guest. We have to queue and wait for buffet breakfast. The captain impolitely asked the guest in queue to proceed to the ballroom for buffet breakfast. The captain promise that the food are the same but it turn out to be otherwise. Certain food like yogurt, noodles, pastries, and sidedishes were not served in the ballroom. The pau was cold and hard, the prata was hard, some food were not hot enough and look distasteful in the ballroom as compared to the cafeteria. The hotel room was clean and well-kept. During the peak time and not even on wee end, finding a car park lot is difficult as the same building itself is a shopping centre. The hotel is clean and reasonably maintained. Rooms were clean and I got the room I wanted. However, I was dissapointed that there was construction goin on in the next room until 5pm. I could not rest at all. Also airconditioning couldn't bring the temperature down. I was told the hotel was nearing full capacity and the AC were struggling to keep with […] the load. My room was sea facing and had large windows. If I didn't close the curtains I could feel the heat outside and I actually sweated even after having the AC set to 16C for about an hour. Eventually had to draw the curtains to make the room temperature cooler. That was a real bummer as I couldn't enjoy the view. So i just tried to sleep but couldn't because the noise. The toilet had an almost used up toilet paper and didn't have an extra one available. Didn't see an ice maker on the floor nor was did the fridge in my room have ice trays, creature comforts you'd expect on a 4-star hotel. Breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing. I couldn't find fish being served save for the condiments for nasi lemak which doesn't really count. Really disappointing for people limited to eating fish. There was a good choice of beef/chicken, but no fish. On the upside, the swimming pool and gym was nice. It had nice views and was kept clean. A very unpleasant stay. There was an extra bed in the room when we didn't ask for any. Had to call the front desk twice before they cam to remove it. Our one night stay was marvellous. The only slight complaint was the absent of clock in the swimming poo. One would wonder how long he has been in the pool without a proper timer. Secondly, guest who used the touch n go card to access the carpark would not be able to obtain a complimentary parking in the absent of the parking coupon. However, this time my friends and I found that the hotel service level has dropped as the hotel is taking in huge numbers of weekend travellers and their support staff and facilities cannot cope. The location of the hotel is great, close to shopping centres and a short walk to Jonker Street and the revived riverside. No complains about the facilities or room. Value for money.. It's a new hotel so stay was very comfortable. Location was great as there is shopping and lots of food within walking distance. Only issue as there's no free wifi in the room. Free wifi only available at the lobby, pool area and coffeehouse. But, overall, enjoyed the stay very much as room is clean and comfortable.

Hatten is a great option for those expecting great hospitality but still at a reasonable price. The location is great and all the attractions in Melaka can be accessed either by a short walk or cycle rickshaws. They serve a great spread in the breakfast and the rooms were new, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

I had requested for a connecting room beos of my elderly parents but the intern recep said the rooms were fully booked. Instead gave me 2 king-sized bed but my request was 1 twin and 1 king-sized bed. Secondly, i had to call the housekeeping, then the reception 4x before housekeeping comes to clean the room. Price is very reasonable for a four star hotel. This is the only hotel I have stayed in with two TV fitted in the room. The bed is comfortable and generally the room is new and clean. Great location - walk to most heritage sites and Jonker Street. Makota and other shopping centres just next door. If you can secure a Straight of Melaka view from room even better.Otherwise, view from pool pretty good. Breakfast buffet (included) was delicious and lots of local varieties.

This is the second time that we have stayed with this hotel for our family excursion. We are a party of 9, with elderly parents and young children. We return to this hotel because of its superd location and it being a new hotel (age less than a year). Things that have improved: the car park coupon validation; they had cut down the stupid system of having […] to validate twice (one at the reception and one at payment machine). Things that had worsen: they don't have the flat sheet layed between the bed and quilt. I am sure they don't clean their quilt everyday or even after each stay. So the thought of using the same quilt with many other guests without cleaning it and no protection of a clean flat sheet scared me. On that weekend when we were there, the hotel is also running on a full occupancy, so the swiming pool, especially the kids pool, is like a big bath tub with too many people. Read more
