Very reasonably priced hotel. Clean & decently well maintained. Some parts of it were a little worn down, etc. but all-in-all a pretty good place to stay. Front desk was not super knowledgable but we survived!

Yes, it is a bit of a walk from everything. Basically 20-25 minutes from the train, the bell tower/drum tower, etc but the staff is WONDERFUL! Their English is amazing, super friendly, gave great restaurant abd sightseeing recommendations. I even bought them pastry to say thank you because they were so nice (no other hotel i srayed at in the month i was in chuna was like this not even close). Basically the service is on point!

We had a fantastic stay at the Shangri La. The bed was extremely comfortable, the lounges were warm and friendly, but the highly is the gym and spa.

Western breakfast much to be desired, not nearly as good as other hotels in China; choices were limited. Was difficult understanding hotel staff, their English was very poor.
