This Motel and all lodging in Australia is way over priced!! There is nothing at any number of stars under $100 per night! This Motel was the highest priced of the week !!!~~ It was comfortable, quality linens and towels, but very noisy. Advertised as WI FI in the room ..believe me there is NOT! Signal is very weak and did not connect but every second or two. Larger downloads would not work at all. There was an electric heater in the room but not plugged in and NO instructions as to how to turn it on. For some strange reason Aussies have an ON /OFF switch on every single receptacle. On most you can tell if it is on but some You cannot. so that was a factor in trying to turn the heater on as it got rather chilly in the room before dawn.

The hotel was perfectly located adjacent to the airport. The hotel staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. The restaurant was excellent and the shuttle drivers were friendly and helpful. I had an extra day and appreciated the free shuttle service into downtown Hobart which enabled me to see the city.

Staff was wonderful and helpful. Only 8 minute walk to the activity of Salamanca Market. Reasonable rates and easy driving access to main roads without noise from traffic.

I wanted an inexpensive motel within a reasonable distance of downtown Hobart. The bus stop was 10 minutes walk from the hotel, and once on the bus it takes 11 minutes to get into Hobart. I was pleasantly surprised with the number and convenience of the electric plugs in the room. WiFi worked well. Cooking facilities were also a plus. There is a refrigerator and microwave in the room, and a common kitchen area with stoves. Laundry facilities were sort of an afterthought, but were perfectly adequate. A bit of a walk to the nearest grocery store. I would stay there again.

Rosie and Colin, our hosts, were lovely and we found the B&B very comfortable and charming. It's located in a beautiful area and there's lots of sitting-around space there. However we were sightseeing, so the drawback for us was that it was about 30 minutes outside of Hobart and far from the attractions (and good restaurants) of Hobart.

We knew we would have a bit of a problem with noise - gee do these Hobart people know how to party! However we were delighted with the staff, location was 'right there' and glad we had a beaut view of the harbour. Parking was a bit of a hassle but is available within a short walk. Given the price and location we were happy.

Uncharacteristically hot weather for Hobart saw this colonial era hotel struggle to keep cool. Opening windows and pedestal fan were appreciated. Hotel staff were helpful and happy to hold baggage after checkout. Great location and views on waterfront and Parliament House grounds.

Love the location and architecture and had an excellent corner room overlooking Parliament House. While service was efficient the decoration of the room was simple to the point of being austere. Fantastic location at the waterfront, especially during the fantastic Tasmania's Taste festival. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are comfortable and large, for the budget and have been tastefully modernised, whilst the structure of the heritage building is still very obvious and intact. A great choice.

My room was directly above the bar and outdoor drinking area, It was Saturday night so it was very noisy. The price to be paid for the great view. Location was fabulous with lots of restaurants close by. It's an old building which is fun, but there's a shortage of power points and cupboard space. Great staff!!
