It was right along the Trans Canada highway, so it was a bit noisy at night. For a stop over of one night it was ok.Genuine Expedia guest review
When we arrived, after booking a double room for two adults and two children, we were given a room on the second floor, but then the desk person came out and said oh you have two children with you and gave us a different room. We were in a corner unit with windows on two walls. It was a bit run down but was okay for a stop over on a long drive. I wouldn't […] go there for vacation purposes. There was a kitchenette in the room. If you don't wash your dishes there is an additional charge. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Double check your itinerary."
Unfortunately I didn't catch that our booking began a day earlier then what I wanted. Nothing could done being a day late but the manager offered the extended day at a reduced price making the pain a little easier to swallow.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Avoid. Get a hotel in Canmore instead for 10$ more"
I'd give it a 2.5 if I could. I would not stay here again. Next time, if necessary, I will pay 5-10$ more and get a hotel in Canmore - similarly priced accommodations look far better in their blurbs, photos and write-up.. Only 3 or 4 working TV channels. Below the hanging TV is a DVD player and a mass of cables. The "lobby" has several very used DVD's […] to borrow. I imagine they're free to borrow. If I had just come out of the bush in the Yukon or was in a rougher part of a major American city this'd look OK but it just barely acceptable for a hotel between a major city and a major tourist area. Thin walls (audible TV noise), noise of trucks on the highway. Staff only possess rudimentary English (I live in the Middle East!). Only one lamp beside the bed. I expect the building will be demolished soon as Deadman's Flats develops more. The room and bathroom appeared clean, and the thin, functional carpet appeared clean. The bed was comfortable. Claimed satelite tv, only 4 chanels. No coffee in room. See front desk to get hair dryer. Kids playing with switchboard at midnight calling rooms. Room way, way over priced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"acceptable basic accomadations"
Pretty basic and older, but it was the cheapest in the area. Otherwise not worth the money.Genuine Expedia guest review
Beds not comfortable and the room smelled because it was a kitchenette. No oven. Nice owners and good selection of videos to rent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK for under $80 CAD"
It a has a "homey" feel. Reasonable value for what I paid. I would have been satisfied to stay another night or two.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Big horn motel"
Price was good - a lot better than anywhere in Banff. All we wanted was a place for the night and this motel did the job. As it is next to a highway, some highway noise could be heard. Also, out shower didn't drain all that well, but all said and done, this motel provided what we needed at a reasonable price for the summer tourist season in the Banff/ […] Canmore area. "Not Fancy but very acceptable"
It was a great place to put your head down overnight. it was clean, quiet and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"nice little hotel"
5 minutes from Canmore and 10 to the buffet at the casino. Clean, a little dated but for the price it was the best cheap hotel we've stayed at. Especially with a kitchenette.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This motel ticked the boxes for our purpose. Next to the hotel was a new Restaraunt which cooked authentic Indian Food - the best I have tasted in Canada!! Worth staying there for this food!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great location good for a budget hotel"
it was good from the price and the location was good for me.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent room for the price range, quiet and comfortableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
After finding out I had booked us into a different hotel than I originally thought, we were a bit hesitant about what Big Horn Motel would be like. The outside of the building is old, but looks well cared for; I would say the same of the inside. The man who checked us in was polite and concise, no chit chat here. Although worn out and tired, our room […] was clean. My biggest complaint was that the aged bed was extremely uncomfortable, but my fiance liked it (though he would be happy sleeping on a piece of slightly softened ply-wood ). We are quite satisfied with our stay and will consider it the next time we need a budget-friendly room in the Rockies. (If you have a car and are on a budget, I'd recommend it; the rates here are surprisingly less than any of the hostels in the area.) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"very small room, only five channels on tv"
room was very small but clean. only five channels on tv and not any good ones. despite being right next to main highway with the windows closed at night it was very quiet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean and economical"
I was very comfortable staying there. The location is close to the mountains and a short drive from Canmore and Banff. The room even had a kitchenette and everything was really clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
Decent hotel for the price. I paid $59 for the room, firm comfortable bed, wifi and lots of hot water. Sheets were clean, room was clean. 1/3 the price of any other hotel in the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay for cheap in the rookies"
the locations is awesome and a great place if you want to stay somewhere cheap in the rookies. Don't expect anything fancy for a hotel but its good enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Good hotel. If a bed to lay your head and water to wash up is all you need, and your looking for a good price, this place is all you need. If you are wanting much extra and fancy amenities then this wouldn't be the place for you... but otherwise its a place to lay your head and save money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint Hotel, Beautiful View!!"
For those of you looking for a 5 star suite in the Grand, this is not it. This is however an extremely comfortable hotel that is very close to all of the must-see sights in the area. We rented a room with a kitchenette. It was a very reasonable price, and the kitchenette was decently equipped with kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans. The owner was […] very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent and budget friendly"
My room was exactly what I needed - a cheap place to stay for 2 nights, clean and comfortable. The room was warm (even with -20 degrees or lower outside) and had a little kitchenette. Noise from the highway was not an issue for me, and I will probably stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful Scenery - Not So Beautiful Hotel"
This is an older hotel which hasn't been updated in some time. Right off the highway. Matresses are old and lumpy. I think i felt every spring in it. However, the rate was really cheap so i guess you get what you pay for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Simples Hotel ohne Komfort"
Einrichtung alt, keine Klimaanlage.
"Big Horn opinia - grzenek"
Godny polecenia, ale bez fajerwerków. Hotel należy do Chińczyków. Recepcjonistka niemiła - nie chciała mi wystawić rachunku. Poza tym ok. Dobra okolica: blisko stacja benzynowa, restauracja i trasa nr 1 transcanada. Polecam.
Genuine Expedia guest review
