"Excellent hotel for the business traveller"
03/04/14 LeonDM London, United Kingdom
For people who are familiar with Tel Aviv and do not need a downtown/beach location the Hotel Indigo is an excellent choice. It is very conveniently located for Tel Aviv Central train station Alozorov (5 minute walk) with connections by rail to the north and south. I would regard the hotel as an excellent choice for the business traveller, or someone who needs to be in the centre of Tel Aviv or surrounds. Located in the diamond district, there are numerous stylish cafes, restaurants and groceries close-by. It is a little tucked away in a one-way street, and taxi drivers were unaware of the hotel. The neigbourhood is not glamorous, but seemed quite safe. Impeccable contemporary interior design with luxury materials and fitments. Very European in decor; wooden flooring in bedrooom, large very comfortable bed; Luxurious mirrored bathroom in chocolate marble, with spacious shower with rain-shower. The standard room is a bit on the small side, with the bed occupying the majority of space. There was only a small closet. No safe or mini-bar fridge in my room (on floor 8). This might be a problem for a couple staying for more than two nights, who should request a larger deluxe room. The rooftop pool and bar were a delight. Sadly it is still off-season, and these facilities are not open until 1 May. Staff were friendly and professional, and the general manager pays close attention to detail. I needed an overnight location, to addend a wedding before heading north by rail, to Zichron Yaakov. Would have been happy to stay longer than one night.
"small but cozy"

+ Very helpful and friendly staff + Excellent breakfast with freshly squeezed juice (even including carrot juice) + Really loved the beds - Due to the fact that the hotel is fairly new, most taxi drivers don't know where it is. Be sure to have a card with address (preferably in Hebrew) with you. - The rooms are quite small. I usually want a bit more space especially when I'm working at the desk. There is less than a meter between the chair and the bed.
"Almost Perfect but not yet"
The hotel is very exquisitely decorated which is a great plus. The rooms and the public spaces are all very nice and give a luxury sensation. Unfortunately, the staff is quiet inexperienced and lacks the necessary service skills. Sorting out the parking arrangements appeared to be a hard task. The room was not cleaned until noon and eventually was cleaned only when we asked for it. The most unfortunate experience was with the dinner which surprisingly did not include desert and required extra payments for most of the menu items. And finally, we stayed at the deluxe room which was really nice but the staff told us that the standard room is quiet small, so keep that in mind.
"Miss the icing on the cake"

After a false start in another hotel, we arrived at Hotel Indigo. Because I had difficulty walking and because I was traveling with a wheelchair, we got the room for invalids. A nice stuled room with a lovely big bed and a big bathroom on the second floor was given to us. The large bathroom is perfect, but the closet space to store your makeup, toothbrush and other stuff was not there. Another point, that the bathroom was not cleaned properly. On the ground i found the remaines of makeup powder and it was still there until we left. What I did not like, that there was no minibar at our room. Shabbat is celebrated on Friday and Saturday and the bar and kitchen is closed. You can't order anything, and when there is no minibar at the room then you feeling shabby. The hotel is located in Ramat Gan, which is far outside the center, it would be nice if you still can order food and drinks. Let the guests know at check-in, and listed it on the website and other booking sites. You need to inform the people about this. Another point of criticism is, that there was sigaret smoke in the room beside us. Also the porter who sits outside, smokes a lot and you smell it in the room. In addition to these critical points we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The employees from the reception are very friendly and helpful and the concierge too. We wanted to come back the next week, but we decide to book another hotel at the beach.
"New and nice"
A new IHG hotel in Tel-Aviv area. Beautiful modern decoration, very convenient (except of parking). Very nice and helpful staff. Great breakfast. A bit of disappointment in finding out that the kingsize bed (in the more expansive delux room) was a couple of twin beds zipped together.
"Beautiful hotel, superb staff & service"

I would like to personally thank the hotel staff and management. We celebrated my wife's birthday at the Hotel Indigo and stayed there with the whole family. The hotel itself is beautiful, and is situated within walking distance from the Yarkon Park where we went for a wonderful walk. We had all our meals at the hotel restaurant - the food and service were exquisite. Above all, the staff was extremely helpful with all our requests. This was a weekend stay for pleasure, but as a businessman who travels often, I highly recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure stays.

We were recently fortunate to have stayed at the hotel, for a weekend, and we want to share the warm hospitality that we received. We found that every last detail was thought thoroughly and certainly exceeded our expectations. The suite in which we stayed was dressed with fabulous fresh fruit and champagne, together with the luxurious Jacuzzi and magnificent view made our stay spectacular. The personal attention given by the staff of the hotel was outstanding as was the standard of the meals provided. The refreshing massage service that was provided certainly ensured that we has a relaxing weekend that filled us with energy to return to our daily routing. Thank you for your hospitality and we hope to return soon.
"Very nice hotel by American standards"

We're a family of 3 (2 adults + 1 child). Booked 2 connecting rooms for 2 weeks and everything was very nice by "American standards" -- no cutting corners like typical Israeli hotels. The staff at Indigo were professional and responsive: front desk courteous, breakfast buffet tidy and food replenished, restaurant staff attentive. The hotel was built using quality finishes from faucets, sinks, lighting, quality mattress and linens, and as everyone mentioned the water pressure was great. Breakfast was about the same every day, they changed the green salad, but this was okay as the variety was good and ingredients are fresh and quality. My only complaint is housekeeping. We were living there for 2 weeks. They didn't sweep and vacuum the rooms everyday so the hardwood floor was dusty. And they take away the dirty cups and mugs but don't restock with clean ones so we had to bring up from the restaurant. Otherwise, an almost perfect stay. Lastly the location is central. Easy access to the freeway. There is a market next door that sell everything from fresh fruits, bread, dairy, toiletry, etc.

"An amazing stay at a fantastic hotel"

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. From the helpful staff in reception (thanks for the local tips Jerry) to the serving staff in the restaurant (the Shabbat buffet was amazing) and the warm friendly welcome from Raz (the owner) I felt like we were staying with friends. The rooms are finished to a great standard, the rooftop pool is luxurious and being part of IHG is the icing on the cake. Looking forward to our next stay :-)
