"Great B & B close to Roslare ferry terminal."
Outstanding B&B. Breakfast is wonderful. Chris is an international gourmet chef and he can make anything from a full Irish breakfast to poached eggs and salmon. Should be named B&B and D for dinner. If you book ahead a truly gourmet dinner is available. A real plus after day of travel. Rooms are updated and very comfortable. Owners are very helpful […] and knowledgable. "This place could be a destination"
All ground floor. Excellent facility. Easiest shower controls in Europe. The best part of it are Chris and Elaine. Watch the news in the Living room. Eat all locally grown and prepared foods at the single dining table. Visit with all the local visitors who come in regarding their dairy, their beef, etc. A chef's kitchen and a Chef, all carefully overseen […] by Elaine. Talk music, talk cars, talk world travel. The down side, it gets booked up early in the summers, with return guests. Less than two miles past Tagoat on the right. Five miles from the ferry port. Also County Wexford is rich in good things as well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The B&B was well appointed and the owners, Eileen and Chris could not have been more helpful and friendly. Chris is a great Chef and if you want to have dinner just ask them and book it in advance. A worthwhile experience. We did not stay long as it was en route but so well located for the ferry. I will definitely stay there again and well recommen […] ded. Eileen and Chris are exceptional hosts and their dinners and breakfasts will be at the top of your culinary list for eating in Ireland. You will actually be staying in a professional chef's home. It was like visiting with friends you have not seen for a few years and were catching up on old times.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"near ferry port"
Breakfast serving time regimented. All guests ate together as in a rooming house. OK but I wouldn't have chosen to do it this way.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was top class. The food, in particular, stands out. There is an optional evening meal for which everyone sits at a communal table so you get to meet your fellow guests. This is an interesting concept and it works brilliantly. The meal was top quality; you would be hard pushed to find an independent restaurant at the same level. The breakfast […] is also very good. Our stay here tied in with grabbing the next morning ferry but it turned out to be quite a highlight of our trip. Our hosts were fantastic, friendly and with an obvious background in hospitality and cuisine, so it was a pleasure to stay and enjoy such a fantastic breakfast. We will be back for sure and wished we could have stayed another night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly and comfortable"
I stayed here overnight so I could catch the early ferry back to Wales from Rosslare dock, which is only about 5 or 10 minutes away. The people who run it were really helpful and friendly, the room was clean and very well presented, the bed was comfortable, and I'd come back on the basis the Irish breakfast alone. Great place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Eileen and Chris run a fantastic B&B. everything is amazing, a real home from home. Next time we'll stay an extra night to explore the area. A gem, and the only place we'll stay in the area that's for sure.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Best there is!"
This was the best Bed and Breakfast venue that I have ever stayed in. The room was modern, clean, very comfortable and the shower was to die for! The quality of the food was superb - the owners could not be more friendly and welcoming or do more for us. The idea of one big table which we all sat around for breakfast was a great idea making it a relaxed […] and entertaining experience. Incredible value for money. A great B&B, with the most excellent breakfast that we experienced during our stay in Ireland. We left wishing that we did not have a ferry to catch and could have stayed longer to sample the dinner menu, and to work our way through the breakfast menu!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We loved staying here. There was a great wet room as an en suite and everything was really comfortable. Food was superb and some of the best we have ever tasted.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Only one night's stay but made so welcome. Dinner was an option and all guests enjoyed sitting around the one table eating an excellent meal prepared by the host. Thank you to our hosts.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Outstanding stay prior to Ferry crossing."
Although on the N25 and only a few minutes away from Rosslare Harbour, Archways is set in lovely grounds in a rural setting. We had a really warm reception from Eileen and the room and whole house were immaculately presented. Facilities included Tassimo coffee machine, little 'welcome' cakes, an i-phone dock and free WiFi. Eileen suggested a nearby […] pub for dinner, where the food was good and the ambience perfect. An extraordinary range of items are on offer for breakfast which can be served (if required) in good time to catch the 9am ferry. I'm only sorry we we there simply for an overnight stop. Almost too good a place for a single overnight stay! We stayed at Archways prior to an early ferry crossing and it was a joy. Fussy son got his wifi and home-made chicken goujons, the rest of us got stuck into Chris's excellent cooking for dinner (top-notch ingredients). Nice touch to let us know to bring our own wine. Bedrooms lovely and comfortable […] with ace coffee machine and iPod dock, also the shower was good and strong. Breakfast was superb, fantastic selection (spoilt for choice!) and a helpful bacon sandwich to go for my wife, whose stomach can't handle the prospect of an early breakfast. We'd certainly stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Only 5 minutes from the ferry."

We stayed overnight on our way back home. Had a lovely room with a great modern wet room. Everything was spotless, had a coffee machine in our room and fresh milk when needed. Chris and Eileen (the owners) are so friendly and helpful. Chris is a chef and his food was fabulous, he even makes his own sausages, which are mouth watering. The lounge has a piano and a selection of guitars, which made my husband very happy, Chris even let him play them. Only 5 minutes from the ferry and breakfast was nice and early to accommodate the timings of the ferry sailings. I would definitely go there again. Eileen and Chris are such a welcoming and lovely couple, thank you.
"Everything you need, plus gourmet food, and 5 mins from the Ferry!"

Archways is an excellent B&B. The rooms are clean and modern and have everything you need including comfortable beds, flat screen TV, docking station, wifi, coffee machine and a state of the art wet room en suite. The owners Chris and Eileen made us very welcome. We had also booked in for an evening meal. And we were delighted we had! The food was absolutely excellent. Far better than you would ever get in most top restaurants. Believe me, we know, we've been to many of them! The meat was home reared, the vegetables were all from their garden or neighbours garden, and Chris who is a chef, did all these fabulous ingredients total justice, cooking the most fantastic 3 course dinner in the evening. The food was beautifully presented and served, and we sat round a huge dining table under a sparkling chandelier, and had a most enjoyable evening! Wine is also available if you wish. Breakfast was equally as fantastic, with a huge selection of items to chose from, and real loose leaf tea! We ordered a packed lunch for our journey which was also delicious. Archways B&B uses renewable energy, all hot water is supplied by solar energy and supplementary heating by sustainable wood pellets. We would thoroughly recommend staying at Archways! We certainly will do in future! Everything about Archways is First Class! And if you are travelling by ferry, it is only a 5 minute drive to Rosslare ferry port! PERFECT!
"Before or after"

Stayed over night on our return to Wales. It's very easy to get to, on the main road to Rosslare Harbour. Heading towards the harbour, turn left immediately after bed & breakfast sign, entrance is on the right. Ample parking. A few steps up lead to reception. We were greeted by Eileen and she made us feel at home straightaway. Our room was small but adequate and very clean, as was the bathroom. Tea & coffee making facilities with homemade cookies and fresh milk in a flask, tv. I loved the idea of one very large table in the dining room with guests sitting together at breakfast chatting away. Breakfast options included full irish, omelettes, porridge, cereals and fresh fruit. This is a very comfortable bed & breakfast for overnight stays or longer before or after your main holiday. It's ideally situated to drive to Rosslare strand for takeaways, bistros or a drink, even a stroll along the beach.
"Overnight stay before the ferry"
07/29/14 John W Bury UK
We stayed here for the last night of our tour of Ireland, before the morning ferry to Wales. We were made most welcome and Archways is very well appointed. Our room was excellent. Breakfast before the ferry was really good. We arrived in enough time the day before to allow us to drive south for an excellent quay side sea food dinner, but if we had stayed another night we would certainly have taken the dinner option at Archways, personally cooked. Well recommended for either an overnight ferry stop or for a longer break.

Archways was a first and last night of our tour of southern Ireland and it was absolutely brilliant. Without actually knowing beforehand, we had booked the superior room which was well appointed and very comfortable. The coffee and tea machine with fresh milk is a really nice touch. Chris' cooking at breakfast was superb with quite a variety of options available. We didn't have an evening meal here but if the breakfast was anything to go by, I am sure that it would have been equally superb. Ample parking is available with easy access and being only 15 minutes from Rosslare harbour, this is ideal for the ferry. Thank you Chris and Eileen for the perfect start and end to our holiday.
"Tour starts here"

We started our tour of Ireland with 2 nights at the Archways. Located about 3 miles outside Rosslare on the main road taking traffic away from the port. The nearest pub or restaurant is a couple of miles away so not really walkable. With only 6 rooms this B&B is quite small but well equipped and comfortable. Each room is different and although smallish they are adequately furnished. The owners are welcoming and ensure your stay is comfortable. Breakfast is served at a set time and is cooked to order from local fresh produce. We took the evening meal option which again is cooked freshly fro local produce by owner and chef Chris.. Unfortunately there is only one option and on this occasion the menu was not to my choice but was nice nonetheless. Overall Archway is a quality B&B serving high quality food albeit slightly on the pricey side for a B&B.
"Another great stopover"
06/11/14 LongGable Surrey, England.
We stopped twice at the Archways to and from our touring holiday in Ireland. It is ideally positioned less than 10 minutes from the ferry. Plenty of parking space. Modern and very well equipped rooms. Eileen gave us a very warm welcome and her chef husband cooked a delicious breakfast. Archways would always be our gateway to Ireland.
"The bees knees for bikers"

Absolutely stunning find for the finish of an Irish biking tour. As we hummed down the lane out came Eileen and Chris to greet us. Covered parking for the bikes and did we need anything else? I think they'd have given the bikes biscuits if we'd asked ( and we were on BMWs and Chris is Harley nut!). The rooms are great, the company lovely and as so many have said the food is superb. We'll be back next time we're cruising around Ireland and need a overnight before the Rosslare ferry. Rock on k

Excellent B&B, very conveniently located for the Rosslare ferry. Eileen and Chris are excellent hosts and breakfast was a delight. My partner is Vegan, and Chris made special vegan sausages for her in the morning. Rooms are clean and smartly decorated - bathroom modern and spacious. Dogs are allowed to stay in guest rooms. A perfect B&B.
"Don't look Further!"
04/27/14 Raoul S Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
We had a fantastic short stay in this very nice B&B. Not only where our rooms more then comfortable, our golden was very welcome also. Even more the really friendly owners Eileen and Chris gave us the feeling to be really at home. If you are ever near rosslare ireland and are looking for a good night stay, don't look any further. The only downside was that at the fantastic morning breakfast (they even made for us delicious sandwiches for the road) we had such a nice talk that we almost missed our boat to the UK. So we come back next time to talk again with Eileen and Chris about there passion for food and good live. Raoul.
