"Lovely accommodation in a Great location!"
This accommodation was a great find, we had beautiful views over the Morzine valley from the balcony. It was in the sleepier part of the resort but only 5 mins walk into the busier part. The staff were very helpful and informative, nothing was too much trouble. The 2 bedroom apartment we had was perfect and very spacious, we were a party of 4, if there […] had of been 5/6 people we would have needed a 3 bedroom otherwise the lounge/dining area needs to be slept in. It was on the whole mostly clean but the bedroom was sooooo warm; the window in one of the rooms did not open in the same way as the other room, it just 'flapped' and did not lock into place! Not a fan either of the continental square pillows! The spa/sauna and hammam was a welcome treat after a day on the slopes if only the pool was a warm as the bedrooms! Overall taking away the nit picking, it was a fabulous accommodation and we will be back! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Apartments and location superb. For a skiing holiday for adults without children choose non-school holidays, so you can enjoy all the facilities incl. swimming pool to the full. The whole ski area is enormous with slopes for all standards of skiing.

We just returned from a trip to France and Switzerland, during which we spent 6 nights at this hotel. It is truly a very nice newer property located just as you enter Avoriaz. We were there for mountain biking and knew summer would be the slow season. However, we were there just as Avoriaz, including the hotel, was preparing to close until winter. This meant a lot of shops and restaurants were closed and the station felt a little like a ghost town. However, it was a nice, albeit curvy, 20 minute drive down the mountain to Morzine where there was much more going on. That said, we still really enjoyed our 2 bedroom/2 bath room at the Premium Residence L'Amara. It was modern, clean, and spacious. Most everyone at the front desk spoke English and were friendly and helpful. When we checked in I was surprised to only find 1 roll of toilet paper in the whole apartment. Based on reviews I'd read with complaints about the hotel stocking toilet paper, I didn't bother asking for any and just bought some at the supermarket. I also thought it was strange that there was no information about the hotel, including checkout instructions (cleaning the kitchen, taking out trash, etc.). I had to ask at the front desk before leaving. That's really the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 in my rating. We were fortunate since we were staying at the end of the summer season to find that parking was a bit cheaper than expected. We also paid to use the spa a couple of times. As a couple with no children, it was a relaxing option compared to the pool. It turned out that Avoriaz was also a great location for accessing Chatel bike park, which we liked the most of the riding we did in the area. There were some great hikes to access as well and as others have mentioned a multipass for non-bikers was very affordable. In fact, we were surprised at how cheap lift tickets were for access to the bike parks too. Overall, a beautiful hotel, in a gorgeous setting with amazing views. We watched the sunset each evening from our balcony and it was absolutely stunning. Would stay here again!

The residence is in a fantastic location overlooking the mountains and it is virtually a no vehicle place which is great if you have small children. The staff are readily available and very friendly. Children's club is also available.

Just got back from a week staying in the Amara apartments. The location was stunning although we didn't have the best weather for August. On the one day it rained continually, we made use of the Aquariaz swimming pool, busy, but a fun few hours and the 2 bedroom duplex apartment we were in (sleeps 6, but there were 4 of us) was nice enough to spend the day in comfortably. The mountain walks were beautiful, though as I am nervous of heights I found the ski lifts and cable cars quite a challenge, though the kids loved them! Summer is the quiet season, so the apartment was a bargain price compared to ski season! This however meant that not all of the shops/ restaurants in Avoriaz were open, though there were enough for what we need, great bakery! A great place for mountain biking if you're a bit more adventurous than us! The pretty town of Morzine was easy to get to by cable car, or a very windy drive down the mountain! (lots of hairpin bends).Geneva was an easy car ride away. Staff at Avoriaz were helpful and most spoke English. Overall, a great stay.
"Great ski location."

We've enjoyed 2 ski holidays here and are planning on enjoying a 3rd next year. The apartments are spacious and well kitted out. But really the 2 things that set these apartments apart from the competition are the terrific location piste side and the swimming pool on site. Our children are young so we often headed to the pool after a short ski after lunch for them to wind down tired muscles and relax in the water. They all loved it!
"One of the best apartments in the Alps"

These apartments are great. What appeals is the underground parking, negating the usual Avoriaz faff. They are a little bit of a way from the town centre, particularly the supermarket, but a 10 euro horse drawn sleigh ride is a delightful way to get about, surely? The ski lockers are generously sized with boot warmers, You can ski straight out from the boot room and ski right back again. The apartments are spacious, stylish and comfortable. The pool and spa are fabulous - such a great après ski treat. In all a really great holiday!
"Easter ski trip"

Excellent new P&V accommodation which was ideal for a late season ski trip for a family of four. Its location on the outskirts of Avoriaz allowed easy parking in their underground car park, but all areas of Avoriaz are only 5-10 minutes walk away. For ski-ing it was easy to ski from right outside the locker room to a chair lift which took us up to above the main ski schools and lifts, and at the end of the day we could ski back to the locker room.
"Nice and friendly"

Nice facility but a bit off from the action in Avoriaz. Strange that you were not allowed to use the outdoor jacuzzi without paying a 20 EUR SPA fee. Mud Walking from the piste to the ski room - you got all dirty.

Just back from a lovely week in 703, Amenda Building, L'Amara apartments. 703 is the 10 bed room apartment which was perfect for eight of us. The apartment was on its own on the top floor with magnificent views from the balcony. It was huge and really well maintained, with plenty of space for the children to play. The building is ski in ski out which we would really recommend with young children and the children were taken by free snow bus 300m up the road to their ski lessons each morning. All in all a great trip, lovely accommodation in a family friendly resort. We hope to come back next year and if we do we will definitely stay in these apartments again.
"Second time - still recommend"

Stayed last year too, thought year two (after opening last year) it might have deteriorated but has not at all, they seem to have kept on top of snagging. Would still get a larger appt than they recommend - 4 people go for 6 person appt. superior rooms over classic rooms is worth the few extra euros ( high ceilings, bit more space). If no heavy snow forecast, worth parking slightly down the hill for free rather than paying 80 euros under the hotel itself. Pizza places by the resort get fully booked on fri / sat evenings so worth booking tables ahead if arriving late and wanting to eat out.
