Very helpful staff with good knowledge of the area. Very kind to my little dog, who was permitted to go to dinner and breakfast with us. Beautiful view of the stunning lake. Very clean; easy parking; out of the bustle of tourist area, but close enough to still be convenient. Only planned to stay a night, but have decided to make a stop on our return home as well because hotel is sublime!

Although I had a lake side room, it is not lake view because I was on the lower floor. There is a park between the hotel and Lake Bled. The room is a little small but adequate. It has a balcony and a view of the Bled Castle. It is just around the corner from the bus stop (2nd Bled stop) so it is very convenient if you get here by bus. The hotel also have a parking lot. There are some fast food, cafes and couple of restaurants very near to the hotel too. Overall not a bad place to stay.

Loved this hotel, very accommadating with lots of charm.

We stayed a total of four nights while hiking in the Julian Alps. The hotel was very accommodating, at one point allowing us to extend an extra night when the weather was bad. The staff (whose English overall was quite good) also helped us change a reservation at one of the mountain huts. The breakfast buffet is generous, and the free wi-fi was easy to use and had a good connection. We would stay at the Kompas again if in KG.

Family run hotel. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet -- best I've had in Europe. Comfortable room, great internet and fitness rooms. Slightly farther away from lake then other hotels but easy to get there by foot.
