Genuine Expedia guest review

My self, husband and daughter stayed here for 7 nights while in Saigon. The room was very nice, clean, and modern western style bathroom, comfortable beds and linens and had a safe in the room. The rate for all 3 of us was $32.00 per night , including breakfast ! It was centrally located, and the staff were very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel.
"What a gem of a hotel in the bustling city, you will not be ddisappointed !"
What a bargain, the rooms are spotless and the service excellent. Staff are friendly, willing and helpful really cannot do enough for you. Rooms are air cconditioned, the showers hot and powerful and very tasteful in the decor. A quiet hotel in the midst of a vibrant and busy city! Great value, you will struggle to find a better budget hotel at this money. Would not hesitate to recommend and/or stay again! Excellent choice for those looking for something 'in between' backpacker and posh.....
"Clean & quiet but communication was hard"

Hotel was located in a little side street which made it very quiet at night - we were on the 6th floor. Everything was clean so no complaints there. Wouldn't go for the breakfast - we got it on the first day and then just went to the bakery across the road for the other days as it was a bit strange. Communication was difficult as none of them spoke very good English at all - found the manager a bit rude and not so willing to try and understand but just laugh/smile which was a bit irritating. Tried to call one night when we were supposed to return and weren't able to and they kept hanging up on us as they couldn't speak English. We then emailed 3 different times and they still couldn't grasp the fact that we weren't coming at all. Overall a good hotel just let down by lack of English.

Sunrise Hotel I stayed in this hotel for one week: May 7-May 14, 2012. The hotel is located near the third district. A quiet area. Walking distant to PNL area or a taxi ride to Ben Thanh market will cost around $1. USD The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean every day. Although the room was small, it was well-maintained. Bathroom with glass door separating shower. Breakfast is ordered from a menu with basics like pho, rice congee, or baguettes with omelette--simple but enough for a single person. Tips: Opposite the hotel is Tous Les Jours Bakery, which sells a lot of pastries and baked goods. Around the corner is Baskin and Robbins, and a little cafe shop which serves good food and drinks. There are plenty of good eating places around the area near Bui Thi Xuan Street.
"A good choice in Saigon"

The hotel is located in a narrow road about a 15 minute walk to the backpacker area with all the bars and restaurants and about 20 minutes to Reunification Palace. For Saigon at least, it’s a quiet(ish) location. The rooms are of a good size with a flatscreen tv, kettle and a good bathroom with a tub and shower. The beds have sprung western style, comfortable mattresses. A big disadvantage is that the air con unit takes hours to cool the room. The reception staff speak very little English but the owners have two sons who speak it very well so if you can catch them around they’re more than willing to help out with any problems and offer advice, etc. The included breakfast is a bit iffy – the eggs are undercooked and the toast is just warmed bread. They provide a good local yoghurt though. Minor faults and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nice hotel, very well located. Polite staff, good breakfast, clean rooms and bathrooms. Very, very good for the price. If you stay here DO NOT MISS the bakery just across the street...YUM!! I would recommend to stay here without a doubt :)
"Very Pleasant Stay"

Very pleasant reception on arrival. The room was clean, bright, modern and properly maintained. Well appointed and clean bathroom. Breakfast, included in the price, was excellent, and set us up for the rest of the day. Fantastic bakery just across the road. Fairly close to the tourist area. Top value for money, we highly recommend this hotel.
"Nice, clean, well located. Great hotel!"

We stayed at the Sunrise Saigon Hotel four nights. We had a double room, which was really spacious and clean. The bathroom was also really new and clean. The room did not face the street but the rear of the property, which was great because it was quiet and we could sleep peacefully. The hotel is really well located in District 1, within waling distance of the hot spots but, still, off the main roads (and believe me, you will appreciate that in Saigon!) The only downside was the breakfast. They did have quiet a few soups and noodles but, if like us you can not eat those things in the morning but you need a "European breakfast" instead, then there was not much choice... There is a nice bakery just opposite, though, but it would be good if they would increase their breakfast range. Staff does not really speak English. But all in all, we strongly recommend to stay in this hotel!
"Nettes Hotel, aber Bedbugs"
Das Hotel macht an sich einen guten Eindruck bei Sauberkeit und Service. Jedoch hatten wir nach den 3 Nächten mit den Bissen der bedbugs zu kämpfen. Das Frühstück ist angemessen, aber man kann ja gegenüber beim Bäcker nachfassen.
