"Coming Home suites? I dont think so!"
Our experience at the CoHo suites was only to be described as disappointing. CoHo means 'coming home', so if your home is noisy, cold and damp then come on home! Diana the owner was 40 minutes late to let us into the apartment so we were stood on the streets with our suitcases and alot of money in our pockets, as she requested it in cash (unsafe/tax avoiding) and also requested more than stated on the website. MAKE SURE you ring and double check all details as the photos are deceiving as i believed to be booking the large apartment, however i walked into a suite smaller than my kitchen. The apartment was basically an IKEA show room. -An overwhelming smell of DAMP surrounded the apartment. -The NOISE from the room upstairs resulted in several headaches, and no sleep or relaxation. Considering the welcome book asks you to leave the room clean and tidy and to respect the neighbours, this was not returned. -The bed sheets were NOT clean. -NOT enough towels / toilet roll -BROKEN shower -The owner was not understanding and was rude when we asked to discuss our issues with the stay. -OVERPRICED for a small, cold, unwelcoming room. -NO PRIVACY. The Curtain did not cover the whole window and we were welcomed in the morning by a man peeing through the window The only good thing about this apartment was that it was in Amsterdam, our favourite city. I would not stay here again as it seemed that we were a inconvenience to the owner, who was rude and not understandin

"Wonderful location close to main sites and shops."
We loved the location and appreciated the personal welcome? The apartment was spotlessly clean and is obviously well maintained. Easy walking distance to all the main tourist sites.

"Beautifully Located Stay in Amsterdam"
We chose CoHo Suites as an alternative to a hotel room in Amsterdam at the end of a long holiday. There was an initial problem finding the property as there is no sign to indicate location but with the help of an excellent taxi driver, all was well. Our suite was comfortable, warm and clean. Bedding was great and the suite was simply furnished for a holiday base. The location was outstanding; it's easy walking to everything in Central Amsterdam. Diana, our hostess, was very helpful and generous with us; she contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the little suite. Because we were staying for eight days, however, there were a couple of little niggles that didn't matter at all but took a tiny edge off the general joy. Our suite had a microwave but no other stove points. (Some of the other suites do - and we would have appreciated this.) All in all, this was a great find and we would recommend it highly.

"Perfect Home from Home"
Perfect location, size and layout for our stay in amsterdam.. This suite is a 5 min walk from everything you need.. From the metro to shops to the Rembrandt square. Comfortably sleeps two, but has plenty of room, seats and a large table for the other half of our group to come for coffee and or dinner. It has a fridge, small freezer, espresso machine, kettle, toaster and microwave. Wifi, English tv channels, and the most comfortable beds, of which we struggled to leave each morning! All of these are exactly why we chose to rent a suite, opposed to a hotel room.. We drove from London.. Parking is expensive in the city, but we used the Park + Ride Service at the Arena, which was a reasonable €8 a day. The metro which is only a 5 min walk away takes you directly to and from here. Thanks Diana for having us! We Would definitely stay here again!

"Great Location & Friendly Service"
A great location , a few yards from the Prinsengracht stop on the No.4 or 9 tram. Just half way between the RAI and Central Station. Self catering was no problem as there is a supermarket just a few minutes walk away for breakfast essentials. Canal side bars a few steps away - one each side so you can follow the evening sun. Service was excellent. Definitely the best business stay I've had in Amsterdam - hope to return for leisure soon.

"Schönes Appartment in Amsterdam"

Thank you for a nice time Diana and all good wishes for your Baby;-)))

"Noisy bedroom"
Very good impression at the beginning. But we heard neighboors upside since 7am until... It´s not a peaceful place at all, you can hear people walking during all the day and it´s the worst isolation we have seen in our life. There's a terrasse, that could be good to smoke but it´s not so clean so you can't use it...

"CoHo? NoNo!"
09/01/15 Lisa G Liverpool, United Kingdom
We have just returned from spending 5 days at CoHo apartments. I'll start with the positives, the suite itself was really nice and the Prisengracht area is lovely. That's about as good as it gets! The owner wanted paying in cash and couldn't meet us on the first day which meant we were carrying a load of cash around with us. When the owner did meet us for payment, she advised that it was 35 euros more than was stated on our booking due to visitors tax, we have stayed in Amsterdam several times and never been charged this before. The suite was described as having a patio which is one of the reasons we booked, the 'patio' is a 1m squared area outside the 1 very small window which you can't access. The bathroom had an overpowering smell of damp, I was taking a bath one evening when a piece of the paint work from the ceiling fell in! Our biggest complaint is the noise from the neighbours upstairs. From 7am each morning you can hear a baby razzing around in a wheelie walker, this carrys on all day, every day. We found out that the upstairs is occupied by the Manager/Owner, they certainly don't have any respect or concern for their paying guests and at well over £100 per night this just isn't acceptable at all. I will be making complaints with the company I booked with but I'd avoid this place like the plague! :-(

"Amazing Experience!!"

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights and Diana was EXTREMELY helpful and courteous the entire stay with ideas/places to visit. When we left I accidentally left my $200 Bose system in the room. In a panic, contacted Diana and she was more than happy to send it back to us. The best customer service I've ever experienced from any hotel/apartment and will be the only place in Amsterdam I HIGHLY recommend staying.

"Beautiful Apartments"

Visited Amsterdam for my partners Birthday in March. Diana was very friendly and responded quickly to my emails, she even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate, which I thought was a nice touch. Coho suites was very easy to find, just hop on the number 4 tram from Central Station. The apartments were great and had everything you needed. Clean, tidy and great location, right on the canal. Just a 5 minuite walk to rembrandt square and a short tram ride to Dam Square. The shower was great too! Would deffinatley reccomend staying here. Thanks for a great stay!

What a stunning apartment! Was greeted by the lovely diana, who stored our bags until we could check in, and gave some great advice on the local amenities. Also, thank you for the lovely bottle of wine left in our apartment on our 2nd day, for my partners bday. Lots of cafes/bars just around the corner, and was perfect for us as it was very close to the main lgbt night life. 20 min walk to the dam central or 5 min tram ride (tram number 4) Thanks again!!

"Excellent apartments"

Excellent self catering apartments in a great part of town. Close enough to walk to main areas but tucked away enough to be quiet. The owner was so friendly and helpful - thanks, Diana. Highly recommend and would certainly return. Quick bit of advice for self caterers...garden view apartment has both microwave and oven whereas canal view has just microwave.

"Nice studio, great location!"
12/19/14 Erwinner Leeuwarden
We stayed 3 nights in the basement of CoHo suites. We stayed in the studio at the backside of the building. They call it garden view, but it's no garden. It is a built-in mini terrace of less then a square meter with a pot plant. The location of the studio is very good on the Prinsengracht. You can easily walk to the Rembrandt Square, Waterloo etc. A very beautiful / practical little neighborhood with nice high-streets, bars and good restaurants. I really recommend this neighborhood! The room itself is spacious enough and has a nice modern styling. There's attention to the decor and the apartment has excellent facilities and is well equipped . One downside is the air quality, you can clearly smell a damp basement air. Especially in the bathroom, this room can barely ventilate and suffers under damp problems (mold and odors). This is also partly due to some broken tiles, the lack/quality of silicone sealant and the absence of fresh dry air. Also, the bed could use a new mattress, this is a cheap Ikea quality. The owner would be well advised to replace it with a slightly better one. This also applies to the TV, it doesn't work properly and is very outdated. What we liked very much is that it is allowed to take a pet along. Despite these criticisms we had a good stay at Coho and had a lovely time in Amsterdam.

"Kingsday weekend"

The hospitality we received during our weekend was great! We were welcomed on arrival, shown around the apt, and given some good tips on where to go and what to see. Would highly recommend for a nice weekend with a nice place to come home to. Easy to get in to the centre with the trams or subway.

"Thank you Coho!"

We just spent a full week at the Coho and really enjoyed it. Location is fantastic and central. We walked everywhere. The apartment was really nice, well designed and clean. Great to have a small kitchen and suite has everything that you need. The owners seem really lovely and they've even made a guide to tell you where to get the best coffee. Highly recommend we will certainly stay again.

"Lovely apartment!"

The apartment was LOVELY and had everything we needed. The interiors were modern and the tea kettle and coffee maker were a great extra. The property was on a great location near the main attractions. Especially a BIG thank you for the owner who was so kind to tell us for example about places to eat and as she, we can totally recommend Bar Moustache for breakfast!

"Mostly good"
02/24/14 rachelbristol88 Bristol, United Kingdom
The apartment itself is in a perfect location. Only a ten minute stroll to Rembrandt Square, with it's numerous cafe's, bars and shops, but nestled away in a quiet street. Pro's: - Greeted by lovely host who gave us our key's, recommended places to eat, places to visit, and offered to help with taxi booking etc. - Very good location, with numerous bars and cafe's etc literally just at the top of the street. Also a couple of supermarkets within walking distance; very useful if you want to make a cup of tea in the morning! - Modern apartment but still with those lovely features, the beams, large windows etc. Con's The apartment is described as luxury. Whilst I agree with this, I think just a tiny bit more care needs to be given to the little touches (just small things). -For example, numerous tea bags are provided, but no milk. Perhaps just a couple of mini capsules could be provided? This would be great for people arriving after a long journey who may not have the energy to pick up some shopping. - The apartment was on the ground floor, so some noise from the upper apartments is to be expected. However, 2 of our 4 nights sleep were completely interrupted by an INCREDIBLY heavily footed and inconsiderate individual in the apartment above us. Doors being slammed, chairs being pulled across tiled floors, literally stomping back and forth VERY EARLY and VERY LATE into the night. - There are some self catering facilities, and we went to use a frying pan one morning. Firstly, the pans were stored in a cupboard next to the bin, not very hygenic. Secondly, we pulled out one of the saucepans which had the remains of the last user's dinner in; I'm not even sure what it was ! I do think, although you should leave the apartment as close to how you found it, there is not really the option for you to do a 'proper clean', and nor should you have to when staying in 'luxury' apartments. I would expect EVERYTHING to be checked, and items which have obviously been used, and not cleaned properly, to be cleaned. Unfortunately, the lack of sleep was a major factor for us and for this reason we would not return to these apartments.
