The nicest couple run this beautiful b and b nestled in a jungle at the top of a hill in tranquil Uki. We're on a 2 week Aussie road trip staying at a different place every night and the Castle On A Hill is by FAR the most unique, accommodating, friendly, wonderful, beautiful, afforadable place we stayed at the entire trip. If you want a truly memorable experience, stay here! Say hi to Irene and the professor for us (oh and the cats and chickens too).

Very nice resort, very helpful staff. The beach houses are well appointed but nave no doors on any bedroom, which is a problem the owners need to fix. The whole point of separate bedrooms is privacy and at these prices, privacy shouldn't be out of reach. Otherwise very nice.

Friday's is a nice well run place in a great location, you can walk to everything Byron has to offer ... which is good as they don't do breakfast so... it's down to Clarkes Beach for that. The place is clean, neat and tidy and really is just a minutes walk over the grass to the beach if you stroll. It is just far enough away from the centre to be quite but only a couple of minutes walk to the Beach Hotel. They do very tasty cakes for your arrival. Will stay there again. Only down side is the noise from other guests going up and down the stairs. Recommend an upstairs room or one to the very front. Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2013

My kids and I were happy with the location of the Hotel, right on the beach with a lawn in-between out the front. We could stroll barefoot to the beach and come back to our room in 2 minutes. We had a car (and a daughter on crutches) so drove to the main shopping area, but it would only be a short walk along the beachfront. The major problem for us […] was the free Wi-Fi that was only meant to be for one device per room, and the speed which was not great. The facelift is quite nice, but a rusty old bin in the small bathroom brought the overall fresh appearance right down. Friendly female office staff, a good sofa bed, a slice of cake upon arrival and enough space in our basic room for 3. We would stay here again for the location. Read more

We had a very pleasant time, It was great that we just walk out the door and down to the beach. And the home made cake to have with our coffee was such a nice touch, It made you feel at home.
