The hotel was full the night we stayed there, but it was still quiet. Very nice accommodations, especially when you consider the reasonable price.

We went for a family wedding and checked in fine. got ready for the wedding and left for the event. We had two rooms and upon returning my mom could not get back into her room (where her stuff was). Fabulous! Continental breakfast was wonderful. The refrigerator and microwave in the room were so convenient, and I had the opportunity to use the laundry facilities. I would definitely lodge at a Microtel again.

My husband and I needed a room close to downtown Austin Texas. The Microtel in Buda was just 10 minutes away! Located right off IH 35 S. We saved money!! (Hotels in downtown Austin that nice were around $200 a night!) A few bonuses.... Starbucks, Cabelas, Walmart, and several restaurants on the same exit! A few problems, such as wifi did not work very well. It kept dropping the signal after taking more than 5 minutes to connect. Parking lot was full when I returned from my engagement, so I had to park outside the lot. The staff was courteous.

The service of the front desk was fantastic. The hotel itself is new and clean. The location is a little hard to find, but next to a variety of restaurants and a Wal-Mart, so good for a family. The rooms are small, so traveling with small kids is a little squished. Overall, not a bad place, but not wonderful for small children.

Great hotel, except for the mediocre breakfast buffet, which consisted of bagels, rolls, toast, waffles, cold cereal, and a few bananas and apples. No eggs, and no "protein" of any kind. Great coffee, though! All in all, well worth the price, and there are several good breakfast places close by - including Cracker Barrell less than 1/4 mile away.

My 88 yr old Mom was treated like royalty. Had a few problems on check-in retrieving reservation, but tiffany, the desk clerk was so pleasant and took care of getting my Mom a room. Very pleasant stay for her and I felt relieved to have such a friendly place for her to stay.

This hotel has only been open a few months so it still has that new hotel feel. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. One thing to note about the rooms is they are smaller than your average hotel. You will feel slightly cramped if you are used to large hotel rooms. Very comfortable with a great location at Cabela's Superstore in Buda. Easy drive to San Marcos Outlets or Austin. Several restaurant choices and Wal-Mart nearby (within walking distance) with easy access to I-35. Hotel has been open about six-weeks and still some kinks to be worked out, but staff and management were very friendly and helpful. When […] the lock on our original room wouldn't work properly, our manager immediately upgraded us to a larger suite than what we'd actually reserved, no questions, no hassle. Complimentary breakfast was underwhelming and spartan, but offered strong, hot, fresh coffee. Bring ear plugs (don't travel anywhere without a pair!) because the walls are poorly insulated and even the quietest conversations next door may sound as if you are sitting in on them. A TV or stereo at average volume next-door may be very loud, so it's important to be somewhat forgiving and patient. All of our "neighbors" over three nights never kept us up and did turn-down or turn off their TV's or music well before 10 p.m., but if you're a light sleeper, this is not the best location to choose even with all other qualities of the hotel being very excellent. We were awakened at 5:30 a.m. by a couple next door having a discussion that could've been taking place in our bed, and they were speaking quietly... Because it was new, it still has that clean smell, the breakfast was bland, but it was complimentary, the front desk person seemed overwhelmed with all the guests in the morning and when I went to check out, there was no one at the front desk even after I rang the bell several times. Overall, it was a great stay and I would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the new Microtel in Buda, TX. Great rate, too. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Now that the I-35 road signs include an exit named "Cabela Drive," it is realtively easy to get to the hotel. My only recommendation would be to include a bit more variety in the breakfast offerings.
