Recently stayed here and was so impressed with this facility and staff. The staff were friendly, helpful and lots of fun. i will definitely stay here again! The room was excellent, the bed and pillows were very comfortable! The atmosphere both in and out of the room was that of "the best place on earth to stay!"Genuine Hotels.com guest review
EXCELLENT VIEWS, WALKED TO LOCAL BREW PUB. BREAKFAST WAS NICEGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice evening away."
It was perfect, even though it was short. The view was awesome; the room was clean; the bed was comfortable. The only mediocre thing was the continental breakfast. Even though I added ingredients to my oatmeal, it was extremely bland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a great location and we will definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was very friendly. Comfortable room with balcony facing the river. There were tons of sea lions barking and belching and enjoying life on the pier. We could here them from the room with the door open. Thank goodness the rooms were sound proof. Easy walking distance to shops and the Goonies House. Good job, Hampton.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Property is extremely clean. New property that prides itself on washing all coverings on the bed every day (duvet, blankets, and comforter). Great breakfast to include good variety of hot and cold items. Found the service to be genuine and flexible (asked for late checkout due to The Great Columbia Crossing). They even called us and left a message if […] we liked the room and to call if we needed anything. Morning paper provided at desk, fruit during the day, 4 excellent coffee/tea choices all day n night (no need for Starbucks). We swam the first night and found the pool to be perfect along with the hot tub. The hotel is right next to pier 39 and the most eastern terminus of the Astoria River Trolley (we went to the Astoria Chamber of Commerce first and paid $1 and got an all day coin to ride the trolley). We will use this hotel at least twice a year from here on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice hotel. It was clean. Great breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tub doesn't mean hot tub"
I thought I was reserving a room with a hot tub the heading on the room was "accessible mobile hearing studio king tub non-smoking no refunds" it was the only title with the word tub in it. I assumed incorrectly it was a hot tub room. There was no compromise on the part of the hotel and I stayed in my room although hotel.com did take 20% off our stay. Arrived on a Saturday late afternoon. Great room overlooking Columbia River with Sea Lions and boarwalk right outside our room. Staff helped us retrieve a late airline bag and were helpful to describe the area. Room was very comfortable and slept well.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just an okay experience"
We planned two nights in Astoria on a two week road trip. I had hoped to really like our accommodations at the Hampton Inn, but I was disappointed. The room was small and a little cramped, the air conditioning created arctic wind conditions that quickly became stuffy once the blower stopped, and the breakfast did not reach the level of mediocre. It's […] a new hotel so everything is very clean and attractive. But the overall feeling was one of indifference with the exception of one of the hotel night clerks who was very friendly. "Nice and Clean"
The hotel was very nice and clean. The rooms were somewhat narrow. We initially had a hard time logging on to the wifi and had to receive clarification on which network to use which would not make sense unless it was explained. Overall, the hotel is new and somewhat overpriced but it was a comfortable stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice hotel"
Very clean, very nice room. Complimentary breakfast was very good, with a couple of steam table items, fresh fruit, you-make-it waffles and yogurt, juices and other things. The hotel is located on the Riverwalk, which is a great place to walk or bicycle. It is also at the end of the town trolley. A brewery with decent pub food is a short walk just down […] the dock. Sea lions have taken over a couple of docks a few blocks away and their antics can be heard and seen from the hotel. When we checked in the staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for shopping and dining. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The bathroom was well stocked with plenty of towels, hair dryer. There is in-room coffee, but we didn't use it because freshly brewed was steps away in the lobby. The indoor pool and spa is very nice with towels provided poolside. The pool is heated just right. There is a small gym right near the pool area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay in Astoria"
We only stayed one night in Astoria, but would definitely stay here longer. The décor was up to date and comfortable. They have a great breakfast with the usual cold breakfast items, but also a waffle maker, oatmeal, and omelets and potatoes. They even offer "Breakfast on the Go" pre-bagged items for people who can't take the time to sit down and eat […] at the hotel. We also loved the location for the proximity to the Rogue brewery/restaurant and an excellent coffee shop (Coffee Girl) which were just a short walk from the hotel out on the pier. The view from our room was unbeatable! We had read many reviews about the barking sea lions, but either we got used to it or drowned out the noise with our fan because they really didn't bother us that much. This is a great hotel. Great location on the Riverwalk. Easy walk into town or take the trolley. Safeway couple of blocks away which worked well for picnic lunches. Loved the sea lions at the nearby pier. The hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was pretty good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Clean and Upscale"
I can't remember a more comfortable hotel bed. My husband and I are getting a new bed because ours feels like its made out of rocks in comparison. Everything was clean and new. The service was great, everyone was very nice and when we called down to the front desk for them to call us a cab, the cab was there within 5 minutes! The only slightly negative […] was that the hotel is located at the far end of town however a cab ride was easily accessible and cheap. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great new hotel, a bit pricey"
This newly built Hampton Inn was excellent in many ways - clean rooms, comfortable bed, Hampton Inn breakfast, easy to find location, etc. There were a few detractors - I thought the price was a little higher than many other Hampton Inns I have stayed at; the breakfast area wasn't optimally set up so there were not enough seats during busy times, the […] location doesn't have much around it within walking distance. While a pleasant stay, we might try elsewhere if we visit Astoria again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beds are wonderful! Wish the bacon was thicker!"
Loved our room set up, and the bed was super comfy. The room also had a standard desk and a full size couch. Lots of space for two people. The bathroom had modern features and was very clean. Hotel offers hot and cold breakfast in the morning. Only stayed one night, but would stay there again. My only complaint is that the bacon served at breakfast […] was paper thin. They did however have waffle makers, and the waffles were not too shabby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"First-time Hampton stay"
Loved the area, the view, and the cleanliness...not a fan of the black-out surface on the door to the deck. In order to get lots of light in our room, we had to have the door open. Also should note the presence of noisy sea lions out on the boat dock...if you are a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you. "Next to sea lions"
Hotel is located next to the river where sea lions like to rest. It is a great option for wildlife watching, but the seal are rather noisy at night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful Hotel on the Columbia River"
This hotel is beautiful and comfortable. A newer hotel right on the river with an amazing view. Room was not huge but the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was very good lots of selection and lots of seating with a great view of the river. We unfortunately did not go in the pool but were told it was recently converted to a salt water pool. One […] thing i would say that was missing was some chairs on the balcony. I would also say if you stay here you must get a river view, it is worth the extra. Another plus is the Goonies house is a short walk away. overall this was a wonderful hotel and was the favorite on our trip in which we stayed in 7 different hotels. "Nice, new hotel"
Had a room w a balcony facing the river. Nice view and we were not bothered by the sea lions as some have stated. If you sleep with your door closed, you can't hear them. "Great view and friendly staff."
My family had a great time in Astoria here. Nice pool, great breakfast, good river view, friendly staff. It's a little bit away from the downtown action, but it helps it stay nice and quiet at night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Simply Excellent in all respects"
Not cheap to stay here but worth the money. They probably had the finest breakfast of any chain hotel I've stayed at in a long time. Room was very comfortable, super clean. It even smelled new.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but not close to the beach..."
Hotel is located in Astoria and nowhere close to the beach. If you are looking for a lovely view of the Columbia River than this is a great spot. Room was clean and nice, but not a lot to do within walking distance of hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Right on the water"

"Clean & Good Service"
Front Desk staff was very nice and attentive. A full breakfast is included. Our view wasn't great, but you have to pay a little extra for that. However, you can see some lovely sights if you go for a walk on the pier, day or night. We had to take a taxi to get into town, but other than that, the location is quiet and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable Hotel in a Nice Location"
This was a very comfortable hotel located right on the river. While the room was a bit small, it was well-equipped with a small deck that allowed views of the water and of the noisy sea lions below.Genuine Expedia guest review
"1st Time on the Oregon Coast"
We went for a peaceful, anniversary weekend trip. We went to Seaside beach. I got some great pictures. The only complain was get to breakfast early.Genuine Expedia guest review
We loved the place, not very convient to downtown, but a place we will stay at again when in Astoria.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bring your walking shoes!"
There is a nice paved trail next to hotel! It is a great and comfort able place. Only small down mark was the hotel is surrounded my industrial area and an RV park.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It would be nice to have real silverware and plates, instead of plastic, for breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent hotel in Astoria, OR"
Family road trip from Seattle to Cannon Beach. Astoria, OR is twenty minutes to Seaside and a half hour from Cannon Beach. There are three decent familiar hotel names in Astoria: Best Western, Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn. The Hampton is the newest. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The common areas smelled like a new house. Clean and modern […] pool and fitness facilities. Ample free parking and a wonderful waterfront walking/jogging path. The standard room had two queen beds, firm yet comfortable. The duvet covers are washed, no smelly blankets or old comforters. Sheets were clean white and fresh new pillows. The furnishings to the artwork and frames were high quality. Mini fridge, microwave, flat panel LCD TV and user-friendly climate control all working order. The toilet was new, quiet and efficient. Granite top sink and clean tile floors. Even the grout was clean! Good water pressure, no hard water. Good insulation. Never heard a neighbor. Room was a little small but adequate. Dining: breakfast buffet was included with our standard room. Scrambled eggs weren't really scrambled but seemed microwaved and instant? The rest was the standard bagels, waffles, cereals, oatmeal, etc. Local dining in Astoria is so-so. Rogue grill is walking distance behind hotel but overpriced and so-so quality. Bridge Water Bistro is excellent, a bit pricey but high quality. There's a Safeway close by. Besides local dining options, hotel is excellent quality and value. Will stay again. "Nice, clean place to stay in Astoria"
Very new and clean. Nice dining area looking out on harbor and Columbia River. Shower temperature was too cold (and I don't typically take really hot showers). They only have three roll-away beds, reserve if you need one. "Nicest in Astoria-But Tha's Not Hard"
This is by far the nicest hotel in Astora, but there aren't very many (any other?) nice places there. It's also brand new. The hotel was very comfortable and we dug the clean, modern decor that was used. Everything about it made for a nice stay. I have to say I was a bit dissapointed given the price I paid; here on H.com. I don't pay that much to stay […] at a great place in Seattle. Everyone raves about the view, but I was given a front room overlooking the parking lot so I can't say. So, Astoria will continue to be a day trip from Portland for us. I recommend this hotel if you must/just want to stay in Astoria. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel, really nice and clean! Great staff. But if you stay on the bay side, the seals may keep you awake! I thought once night came they would sleep, but hey don't! Very loud! Breakfast was lacking. "Hot breakfast" was basically anything they could microwave and not tasty at all. But overall, a pretty nice place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Astoria is a great place to stay, will come back."
It was great, my only disappointment was I booked via phone and our room was supposed to have a view and we were placed on the side that didn't have views, there were rooms available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
