Super friendly staff in this old and historic hotel. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Exquisite dinner and nice continental breakfast. Only wish the shower had more than a trickle coming out. There is no elevator but staff will help you with luggage. Would definitely stay there again.

First off, you have to remember this is a 200 year old hotel. That said.... the rooms are decorated in antiques, but they have Tempurpedic mattresses, so that's very good. We stayed on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Pack light LOL. The floors are really creaky, so I tried to be very careful when getting up during the night, but they still creak […] like heck. Nice bathroom, quality towels and toiletries, very high quality sheets and comforter. We ordered room service from breakfast - very good!! We also ate dinner the night before in the hotel restaurant and it was fantastic. The price was decent and it was a very upscale, delicious meal. The service was impeccable for both the restaurant and the inn. The room rate was reasonable, as well. Overall a nice getaway and would return. Read more

No phone in room so you have to walk down four flights of steps to tell the desk that you need something. No hair dryer or amenities in room. TV not great. No elevator. Room was decorated nicely.

Staff was helpful and pleasant. Rooms were decorated in antiques, e.g. old bed with modern mattresses. Unoccupied rooms left open so that patrons could view them as one would in a museum. Dinner was excellent. My waitress used a perfect balance of attentiveness and distance, and she (Samantha) was delightfully pleasant. What a great place to stay. I was really impressed with the way in which antiques, old pictures, etc., were incorporated into the decor. I am pleased to see that the hotel was kept in such good condition over the years so that folks like us could enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and made us feel right at home.

The Golden Lamb is the oldest operating hotel in the State of Ohio. I'd recommend it for folks who want a little bit of an adventure, and are prepared for some inconveniences in order to, well, say that you've stayed at a hotel that's been open since the early 1800s. For instance, there's no elevator - we had to walk up to our room on the 4th floor. […] A little taste of the old days. Enjoyed our step back in time.......The Golden Lamb is the Oldest Hotel in Ohio! Very interesting to explore the hotel and the shops in downtown Lebanon. I loved this old, historic, eclectic hotel. My room was large, with a canopied bed. The only complaint was that the rooms are up steep stairs with no elevator. No one told me when I was making the reservation. That said, I'd still stay there again.

I loves this hotel! It was just staying in your own little part of a museum. Each room is unique and different, but wonderful. The beds were extremely comfortable and room was clean and cozy. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and the service was great. The hotel also has a tavern but I was not able to visit it. The gift shop downstairs […] though, was great as well. The area surrounding the hotel is the historic district of the town. It was very clean and safe; full of little shops and diners and ice cream parlors. This historic inn with rooms named after the various presidents and other luminaries that have stayed there over the years (we stayed in the Samuel Clements/Mark Twain room) was wonderful in its ambience and especially the Xmas feeling it exuded decorated for the holidays. The rooms that were not booked or not checked into yet were open behind a heavy […] velvet rope so you could take a peek in at the lovely antique furnishings of the other rooms. The numerous dining rooms were festively appointed and faced with choosing from the dining room and a more casual option, we had a great dinner at the attached family tavern complete with traditional holiday drinks like Wassail. Complimentary homemade eggnog greeted you at the front desk, and there was a small giftshop attached. The only drawback came when our son wanted to take a bath but there was no stopper - guess most people take showers these days! Please checkout the hotel website for photos.
