Seventy Hotel - Ho Chi Minh City

We arranged for airport pick up via email 2 days before arrival but waited 35 minutes and no one showed up. Wasn’t too bad because it’s easy to catch a cab at the airport. Just walk left of arrivals and it cost $10 to the hotel. The hotel was going to charge us $14. I specifically paid a little extra for a superior room, which was supposed to be a bigger […] room. I couldn’t imagine a smaller room than the one we were given room 503 and decided to ask the front desk what type of room was given to us. The guy wouldn’t answer my question until he pulled out my reservation, checked it out and then told me that it was a superior room. I asked to see the different rooms to compare but was told that they were fully booked but that I can pay more for a bigger room? Long story short, I had already paid for 2 days at the hotel and didn’t want to make an uncomfortable experience while in a foreign country. It’s easy to tell when you are being lied to. If you check their website, the regular room is listed as 12 sq. m.; superior room 22 sq. m.; deluxe room 26 sq. m. Our bed was jammed between 2 walls from top to bottom (if you are over 6 ft- you will not fit). When we came back later in the day, the man apologized and offered us a 10% discount on our room because he said our room is a bit small. It wasn't worth it when our check out took over half an hour. Great location and a very helpful staff (although their English isn't great). The room was clean and modern, with decent Wifi, a refrigerator, plenty of hot water, and a nice TV with lots of channels. You should know before booking that the rooms are SMALL, and don't all have windows. There is almost no space to walk around in the room. This was okay for us, because we only stayed two nights and didn't need lots of space, but another couple we met there decided to move to another hotel that was comparable in price and had a bit more space. Good cheap hotel located right in the middle of heaps of resturants and bars. And in walking distance to most of the main sights. It was comfortable and clean. The rooms on the outside with window are ok whilst the indoors have no windows and feel like a broom cupboard with a bed on it. We asked to change the room with a window and they did it. Staff was helpful but they could improve their breakfast. Very good location.

we book a room for 3 including breakfast... the room was very clean and comfortable... the only sad thing about this hotel is the breakfast provided, is not worth the money... because the hostel is located nearby several bars, be prepare to have sleepless night as they can blast the music till late at night!

Friendly staff, clean and tidy room (not large but more than adequate and about the same as most other hotels), great location on Bui Vien st in the middle of the backpacker region, right next to the police station and an ATM. Plenty of bars and restaurants within a few seconds or minutes walk. I booked a 3-day Mekong Delta trip with them which was great, other than the hotel on the last night of the tour, and a full day Cu Chi tunnels trip. On returning from the Mekong trip the room they had for me had a broken shower so they had already booked me into a hotel just as nice across the road for $2 less a night. Definately recommend staying here, did not have one problem (other that the broken shower and the problem had been solved before I knew about it). Read more

위치는 크레이지버팔로 앞에 있는데 간판에 걸린 이름이 세븐티호텔이 아니라 lhan lan hotel로 되어있어서 캐리어끌고 한참 그 주변을 배회하다가 초록색제복입은 아저씨가 찾아줬어요 또 예약할때 흡연에 체크했는데 복도에 창문이 있는 금연방을 줘서 불만을 토로했는데 그냥 방에서 피우라고 하더군요.....

Das Zimmer,angegeben mit 20,qm ,war höchstens 6qm groß. Auch das zweite Zimmer ,das man uns nach Beschwerde gab, hatte nicht mal 10 qm. Mit 2 Personen und Gepäck gab es schon Probleme das Bett zu erreichen Das große Frühstück bestand wahlweise aus 1 Brötchen und 1 Ei oder 1 Brötchen mit Marmelade oder Käse ,dazu 1 Getränk.

Vi havde 3 overnatninger på hotel Seventy og havde et fint ophold. Værelset er rent og pænt og personalet søde og hjælpsomme. Med en beliggenhed midt på backpacker-gaden kan der dog forventes meget larm om natten - sådan er det vel, når man vælger at bo midt i smørhullet, så næste gang vælger vi en parallelgade.
