POP Hotel Kuta Beach - Bali

POP was the most reasonably priced hotel I could find in the Kuta/Legian area that was of good quality. Even after I arrived and looked around for a better option, I could not find one. I returned to the area two more times over the next two weeks after taking side trips and chose POP each time. The room is clean and has everything you need. The location […] is pretty good as you turn right for the beach and left for the bars/restaurants. Still, it is a few minutes to walk anywhere and the hotel is situated in a weird location down very narrow side roads. Staff was friendly, room and pool were very clean. But as for families with small kids the hotel is not so good as the hotel was playing loud music in the corridors every night until 9-10 pm. They serve local breakfast but, again it was not suitable for small kids as it was too spicy.

Going by other reviews here, I was expecting a decent hotel for a good price... and this hotel does not disappoint. It's still very clean (mainly because it's a newly built 2012). I did notice however that the bath towels are already getting a bit thin, and should be replaced. But hey, this doesn't claim to be a 5 star or even a 4 star hotel, and the […] price doesn't reflect it. It's a great deal for the price, I'm not really a fan of all the McDonalds like colors in the decor, but I suppose if you had kids they would love it. It would be great if the WiFi could be a bit faster, but it too was sufficient. we booked this as ended up coming early to bali so needed somewhere before our booking at our hotel.we booked pop mainly for the cheap price and the reviews where ok.The pool area was the best part of the hotel as the rooms where not up to standard. The "pod" for the bathroom wasn't clean and was rusty, the sink hadn't been clean and still had toothpaste […] stains on it, and to top it off the bed sheets where dirty. This is a really good budget hotel. I chose it because it was a new build so it would be clean and fresh - and it was! The location is really good for those who want to experience Kuta. The beach is 5mins walk away (although you have to walk around a construction site, but hey - this is Indonesia) and the Legian strip is also 5 mins walk away in the […] other direction. The rooms are good and en-suite. The wireless is free and easily accessible. Breakfast of Nasi Goreng + coffee is provided free every day in the breakfast area. One note of caution: the taxi stand in the hotel (and the drivers who hang around outside) follow the same principles of any street-based enterprise. They will charge as much as humanly possible. The fares on the display board inside the hotel are RETURN fares! I got suckered in to thinking they were one-way. My advice would be to check with bluebird drivers (who always use the meter) about the approprite prices for any trip you want to make. then you can haggle with the taxi stand from a position of strength. Just literally tell them that Bluebird offered you a trip to 'wherever' for say, 60,000 rupiah. Then the hotel stand will agree to a slightly higher rate (i.e. 70,000) Read more

Hotel was under construction and wasn't notified by staff. The noise started at 7.30am and went all day. This hotel is slightly more higher rated than a back packers. I will not be staying here again.

The hotel itself looks exactly as it does in photos on the advert so there was nothing misleading and no nasty surprises there. The cleaning staff are working 24 hours a day and fresh bottled water is provided in the room daily by them. All staff around the hotel were friendly and treated us like we had been staying there for years. We were not expecting […] a breakfast included in our stay but a free 'lite bite' was available every morning. My only reason for marking slightly lower on room comfort was that there was no wardrobe or storage in the room so we have been living directly out of our suitcase for two weeks, but this was not a major issue and there is absolutely nothing else I could possibly moan about. Stayed 1 night in the hotel. on my tour around Bali Island with excellent exprience. Hotel room was very clean. Staff was friendly and spoke English very well. Pool and breakfast was awesome. Secara keseluruhan baik. Adanya fasilitas Wifi di kamar dan kolam renang menjadikan salah satu hiburan tambahan setelah bepergian. Lokasi yg berada di dalam "gang" memang agak menyulitkan utk keluar masuk. Dan juga cukup jauh dari perbelanjaan Beachwalk. Tapi, cukup recomended utk masa liburan berikutnya.

我CHECK IN时搞了半个钟，柜台的人都好像不大会，而且整个前台到走廊也是热的，当你去房间时走廊又热又矮很有压迫感，房间格式像豆腐格这样一格一格的，很好笑。好像住在盒子里面。 没有吹风机，风调又不冷，热死了里面。隔音又不好，又没有电话。 楼下泳池水刚换水也很肮脏。我绝不会再来了。

歩行五分鐘即到kuta beach, 服務週到,但房間內衣服掛鈎不夠，且沒供應衣架，不太方便。在酒店大堂叫車較貴，建議在外自行叫車 5 min walk to kuta beach, staff are very helpful. No closet inside the room and no hangers provided.
