The room was really good, there is also an Haveli Indian restaurant which is also good with normal prices. The B&B had been just a few mins walk from Railway station.

Hotel is very hard to find. Check in is in 2nd floor of a housing building. Rooms are spread out through 2 different buildings. Staff is not very helpful. Building and rooms are very old. No Wi Fi but in the "lobby". If you rent a car, this is the worst hotel to park, not to mention extremely expensive. Took them 1 hr 30 min to bring the car from the parking. Almost missed my flight, staff didn't sympathize at all.
They charged at the hotel, which was in Euros, so original price from Expedia, was much higher, and of course they added the European tax per night.
Only good thing is that is very close to the Train Station. Good for just spending the night but very expensive for what you get.

Located close to the Main railway station of Florence (Firenze S.M.N.) about 10 min walk. Though the hotel does not have a big signboard outside which makes it very hard to find. Apart from the initial problem with finding the hotel and the reception, everything else was fine. The guy at the reception greeted us and explained about the hotel and also gave a brief overview of the main attractions of the city. The room was decent size and the bathroom was okay. We stayed there for two days and did not have any problem whatsoever. The reception guy gave us his WhatsApp number so as to contact him if we need anything without paying for phone bills. That turned out to be very helpful when we had to contact him for umbrellas and he did reply promptly. Internet speed was good as against to other big hotels of our Euro trip. It was definitely worth the price.
For convenience this is a great spot to stay in Florence. We were greeted by a very enthusiastic reception staff member who was willing to step us through exactly what we should see during our stay. The wifi was also good and rooms were cleaned each day.
However, the walls are quite thin so you could always hear the people near you coming and going during the night so not ideal if you are a light sleeper.
The pictures in the website/booking look way better than the actual place. The wifi connection does not work depending on where you're staying. It's close to the station and that's the only positive thing.
I'd call it "weak". Not worth a second visit.
In town, museums and a great location with proximity to the station. 3 minutes into the river, 1 minute walk from the station, the price is fine performansiyla place. cleanliness and safety is the pain that you have a doubt. We pass on the outside after the big iron gates, you enter the apartment, then more and indicate a door, you have a relationship with a person you can rarely come across in all my life 😊 what they can do if you have never hang around without help without getting bored. even if you do not know your language, even doing translation. I met him, I say good on him 😉 room was the only room I lived in a shortage of cold, but Barbora's smiling face, and everything makes you forget the Keen on preserving both your palms. Thank you thank you for everything too. I would recommend arkadaslara wanting to go.
I stayed here for 3 night with a friend in October 2014.
The good: very conveniently located- we could walk there in 5min from the train station with big suitcases (no need for buses/taxis) and relatively easy to find. The room was a good size, and clean with the room cleaned daily. Wifi worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to walk to all the main attractions and restaurants within 10-15min (at a good pace).
The not so good: advertised as bed and breakfast- there is no breakfast (to be fair- they do make it clear that they are a B&B without the &B). Very close to the train station- though the noise of the trains doesn't tend to be much of a problem at night. There is a nightclub directly across the road (backing onto the train station) and the walls are VERY thin. There was only one night (a saturday) where I was awake because of very loud music/drunken shouting/smashing glass until 4am, but otherwise it wasn't a major issue.
As a place to sleep at night it was good (except on a Saturday when I would definitely NOT recommend) and it is very convenient.
It got off to a bad start when we couldn't find the B&B on the street, we retraced our steps to see to our horror we had booked a B&B run out of an old office block-no wonder we missed it the first time! The entrance is very dated and the rooms were not much better. The rooms were large and spacious however they were incredibly noisy from the road/bars beneath us. The area it is in is not the best right next to the main station- Florence is so small that you could book somewhere not that much further from the train station that is a lot better! You have 3 keys one of which opens the secure entry gate outside, it's certainly not somewhere id feel comfortable walking into late at night. It genuinely feels like you're walking into a deserted office block. However the guy that greeted us was very friendly and showed us the main sights to see on a map it's just a shame the rest let it down. I wouldn't stay here again.
This is a quaint, old-fashioned hotel that combines the old with the new. The old is comprised by the rooms, which are charming and roomy. We had a balcony which a had a nice view in one direction and a not-so-nice view of the courtyard which could use a good cleaning and some plants. However, it was most amenable to the large rabbit who lives there. The new is comprised of reliable wi-fi, good AC and a modern, marble bathroom.
Our concierges Santiago and Michelle, were most helpful and welcoming. One of the best things about the Monnaclara is the location - within walking distance of the train station and all the relevant sights of Florence. We would stay there again.
The place is not attractive. From the outside it looks like a car park. From the inside the rooms look cheap.
But look closer. The rooms are clean. The beds/mattresses are well made. The heat and AC work great. The plumbing and shower work perfectly. The rooms are near to the SMN train station in the center of the city.
They could probably fetch a higher price for rooms if more effort was put into outward appearances. But I'm glad they didn't!
They don't offer any breakfast, and won't change towels more than once every 3 days. But they give you a reasonable place from which to explore the city. There is a very convenient coin-op laundry a couple blocks away.
Location: This B&B is very close to Florence SM station and can be walked if you have medium sized suitcase. If you want to board a bus to Pisa Airport, you get it from Florence SM station entrance.
Most of the day/evening tours starts from Florence SM station (Black Digital Clock near stairs) and is very close to the B&B.
Rooms: Rooms are pretty big and spacious. Powerful AC to keep you cool in summers. Toilets are nice and clean. Interior decor looked little old style.
General: The Checkin desk is not open 24 hrs. Make sure you check with the hotel if you are arriving late.
On checkin, they give you a bunch of keys to access the gates at the entrance, the B&B door and finally your room key.
Make sure check all the keys once when the staff is available. I had a problem in opening the B&B door at 11:45 PM and had no one around to help. I almost went to a point where I thought the key would break (my wife was pretty sure that I was using the wrong key or given the wrong key..); it opened.
Safety at Night: This B&B is on the main road close to rail station and is well lighted. We walked back from one of the restaurant (30 mins walk) to the B&B at 11:15 PM and we felt safe all along.
Located literally behind the florence train station, which is not a very nice area of florence in my opinion. just like any typical train station neighborhood. Its dirty, the station is filled with many beggars/homeless, and really I just want to get as far away as possible from the station. So its quite disappointing to find your hotel to be so close from of all these. The Building that this B&B is located is an old office building of maybe 5 floors or so, and they occupies half of the 1st floor (or less). Its very basic, small reception, and the rest are just doors leading to each rooms.
The room we stayed at was room no 4, perfectly facing the main road which is ridiculously noisy at night time. It sounded like they have a club or something somewhere next to our room. although I never really saw one during the day. You can hear everything, from cars moving, buses, trains, and its just loud.
Good thing is the room is quite clean. and wifi is working okay. the air con is not operational when we were there in May.
Its very close to the station as i said, so its walkable and if you need a cheap place to stay over just to crash in maybe it ll do. walking to main tourist attractions is about 15 min.
But sorry, I just have to say that I really hate that train station area and I would avoid staying in a hotel in the area anytime if I ever come back to Florence.
