We come to NYC for business trip every other week we like stay new nice hotel in Chinatown , but this hotel is rate too high , we paid close to $400 per night , and the hotel worth about $80 , the towels are dirty in room, I got basement room next to their housekeeping room , i can heard their conversations and door shuts , they keep me awake till midnight […] and then wake me up 5 in morning , what a nightmare ! this is my first time at this hotel never going back . I needed a good hotel in Chinatown, near the start of a Chinese language city tour. The Howard Johnson fit the bill well. It was very clean and modern, the staff was great, the breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and it was only a few blocks from the tour company. If I need to stay in Chinatown again, HoJo would be my first choice.

Good early check-in service. I could walk to the Brooklin Bridge, 9/11 Memorial, Wall Street and the Battery Park. Not Fancy but cozy.

Charming staff. Comfortable, small rooms- well designed. Not an area of Manhatten for everyone/be prepared for hectic day trade (Chinatown) and silent streets at night. If you've already seen everything midtown has to offer, this is a very different experiemce.

Everything was good: friendly/helpful staff, clean (if small) room, good enough breakfast. The neighborhood is not at all sketchy; if you don't mind exploring, you'll find a good bar, a good noodle place, etc. But you can easily go find other places in the city as there are two subway stops nearby, or you could walk 20 minutes to the East Village.

When I told my wife we were staying at a Howard Johnson"s she looked at me as if I just made reservations at the subway terminal at Penn Station. I assured her that for the price, location and what I've read on the reviews, it would be fine. Well when we got there, it couldn't have any better. We were warmly greeted, congratulated on our Anniversary […] and made to feel very welcomed. The room was on the 8th floor and very modern and chic. The bathroom shower has the most windows in the room but not to worry, no one can see in.:-) It was a nice view towards the bridge in the east and a great feel taking a shower and watching this great city move! Its in the heart of Chinatown and close to 2 subway lines. Up the road is the Lower East side and Soho. The F train took us straight up into midtown and TImes Square.We also ventured into Brooklyn for a nice dinner. I would recommend this place to any and everyone. The ONLY issue is the lack of a closet. For me, not a big deal but wifey needs a little more space for her things..Either way we managed and the Anniversary weekend was a huge success. Do not pass this place up if you are looking in Manhattan. You wont regret it. Read more

It is a great location, rooms are smaller than u probably r used to however it is great in cleanliness and amenities with awesome price for New York. Close to china town, little Italy and walking distance from a very convenient long term parking lot. Definitely recommend

Excellent budget option. Hotel was spotless. Room small, but modern furniture and lovely bathroom. Ask for a high floor room to avoid traffic noise. Location slightly away from main attractions, but subway station close and 15mins to Times Square.

This hotel is right in the heart of Chinatown and super close to the Brooklyn Bridge.It is about 5 blocks from a subway station that takes you directly to midtown. The hotel is brand new with ultra modern decor, such as Marilyn Monroe pop art chairs in the foyer. The hotel provides free tea and coffee at all times of the day, and a free breakfast, although […] there is not much choice, just a few pastries and a selection of 3 breakfast cereals, however it is superb for the price you pay. The room is spacious and everything is brand new, such as the widescreen flatscreen tv. You really wouldn't get more space for your money anywhere in Manhattan. The staff were attentive and friendly, and came up straight away when we thought we broke our safe! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't want to deal with the midtown crowds! Read more

Vi boede to veninder sammen i en King size bedroom, dette var et rigtig lækkert værelse med alt det nødvendige. Værelset blev rengjort og håndklæder skiftet hver dag. Personalet var venlige og imødekommende og søde til at hjælpe med transport og lokalisationer af turistattraktioner. Metrostationen ligger 5-7 min. gang fra hotellet.
