Ringle Resort Hotel & Spa - Escazu

This is one of the best hotels that my husband and I had ever stayed at; and we have been to a lot of hotels!. We loved the place, the spectacular view, the peacefulness, the service, the food was pretty good too. We will definitely go back to this hotel again whenever we feel like disconnecting from all the noise and having a relaxing time.

This is one of those properties where you drive up and go "wow". Converted from a private residence, it offers all the comforts of home, with great views and clearly the staff cares about details. Great in every respect. The only thing that I could nit pick about would be that it is not right in noisy and "not as safe" downtown San Jose so it takes a taxi ride of $6 or $7 to get to the La Sabana area. But the hotel itself is immaculate, the view is the best I've ever had from ANY hotel, the staff is the best, the pool is great, .....

Ringle Resort was the best part of our trip. It is tucked away--with truly picturesque qualities that will take one's breath away. The staff treated me like a family member. New Hotel, very clean, only about 10-12 rooms. Breakfast not up to mark at all. For a new hotel you would think they will offer more to attract new business. Need GPS to find it. Spa is there but need reservation so they can call staff.

My husband and I were in San Jose for dental work and chose the Ringle because it is very close to the Dentavac Clinic. The hotel looked pretty on their website, but we were not expecting such a beautiful property. Formally a private home that has been converted into a luxury boutique hotel, it is still small enough to feel homey yet offers the quality […] perks of a larger chain. We stayed there our first night in San Jose and again our last night, and had a different room each stay. One room was large with a sitting room and a wonderful view of the city lights below the hillside; the other was smaller and had no view. Both were clean, with attractive furnishings and very nice bathrooms. The matresses were on the hard side. We very much appreciated the free phone calls to the USA from the rooms. A new restaurant overlooked the beautiful blue tiled pool and the city. The food was pricey but excellent. A full breakfast was served each morning. The Ringle is a great place for strolling along the lovely, well maintained landscaping or reading in one of many patios, sitting areas or the indoor library. There is even an outdoor sitting area with a fireplace, another with a kitchen available for large parties, and an on-site spa. The owner, Ed, who we enjoyed long talks with, Katia, the general manager, and all the employees, were very helpful and attentive. This is a beautiful resort that I highly recommend! Read more

I highly recommend this hotel. It is located in a very nice and upscale suburb called Santa Ana on the hills overlooking the Central Valley. They were very nice to upgrade me to the presidential suite which is as big as a 1 bedroom apartment. I loved having breakfast poolside while I enjoyed the view. It was breathtaking. The hotel manager, Katia, says […] that there is no better place to view the fireworks on New Year's Eve. What I liked the most is that it does not feel like a hotel. If we could give it a 6 out of 5 we would. Great and friendly staff. A beautiful, boutique hotel, incredible view and five star quality and comfort. It was our first stay here and we were made to feel like a regular client or family. We can not wait to go back next time we over night in the city. Looking forward to the restaurant being open!

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was an absolute delight. The hotel is beautiful in it's old fashioned way with a pool and an amazing view. The staff was brilliant, indeed. Helping us sort out bus times, and what ever else we might have been in need of. We absolutely recommend it if you want a peaceful place to charge your batteries.

nice boutique hotel, with a small number of great rooms. As the location is a few hundred meters away from the road, it is a very quiet place in the evening.
