We had a wonderful 3 night stay at this beautiful, quaint thatched roof inn and pub.... With modern annex rooms which we highly recommend. The inn owners and staff were very friendly and the food served was excellent....try the braised partridge and the chocolate orange cake/ pudding.... Aside from Dorchester being nearby and Thomas Hardy's cottage and house etc....Cerne Abbas and the historic town of Sherborne are easy to get to .....take the back country B roads to go through picturesque villages....The Khemani's from Washington & Toronto

We enjoyed our four-night stay very much and would definitely stay at the Casterbridge again. The hotel is charming and conveniently located near trails, the main bus stop, restaurants, and the shopping area. Wi-fi connectivity is excellent as is the breakfast buffet. The proprietors and staff were friendly and helpful.
