"Col Cold Cold but No heating"
Dissapointed as I searched online for 4 star hotel and this was found by your system- a bed and breakfast minus breakfast. Extremely cold as the heating was not switched on through the night but for 1 hour when we got in for the night at 10.00. We were out all day both days. For the price we paid there were hotels with heated rooms throughout day and […] night and proper reception and lounge and bars. Not a good reception on arrival, room next to the utility/wash room, bedding not fresh, towels dirty- not washed, room & bathroom not warm enough, heating went off before 9pm, shower water only warm, hall and outside light shine in room, wi fi connection would not connect, tv limited only to freeview chanels. Have to say we had an amazing weekend staying at the Little Red Rooster. Marion is a lovely lady who made us very welcome from start to finish. Was made more special in that my partner proposed to me on Caldy Island and of course I said yes:-). Would definately recomend and will definately be going back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this B&B which we selected for its proximity to places for walking and photography. Marion is a charming proprietress who was there to welcome us and provide any help during our stay but was otherwise very discreet. The room was extremely comfortable and quiet, it felt more like a self-contained apartment than a B&B in that it was a very private set up. This meant we could come and go at times suitable to catch sun rises and sun sets without worrying about wandering through someone's house to get out. It was a short walk into town and there was easy access to main roads out of town to explore further afield. We had our dog with us and the set up at the Red Rooster was perfect for him. Marion was very welcoming of him as well as us and we found the whole environment friendly and relaxing. Thank you Marion, we will be back!

Our 2 night stay at Little Red Rooster was very cosy and comfortable and was much needed after full days exploring this interesting little place.Our host Marion was a breath of fresh air and many laughs were shared.I would certainly recommend a stay and not to be missed is a breakfast which will leave you full and content.

I arrived at the little red rooster for my first anniversary with my partner. i was full of excitement at the prospect of a romantic weekend. I arrived around 5 pm and was welcomed by Marion who ran the establishment. A pleasant woman but a little scatty. I have a lovely room for you she said....king size bed and a jacuzzi spa bath...GREAT! Then she asked me my name and it all went down hill from there!!! No, I'm sorry we dont have you booked in? I showed her my confirmation on my phone only to hear her say she had let my room out to someone else! She was quite pleasant and then stated that she thought she recognized me and that I had stayed there before with another woman!! I could feel a cold glare coming from my partner and a very awkward silence pursued! After checking her bookings on 3 occasions and around 30 minute later she told me there was nothing she could do to help, another customer pulled up with his family...... then Marion instantly dropped the conversation with me and gave her full attention to the new client.... Ah she said you must be the people with the luxury room with spa.....I couldn't believe her rudeness as we had not even finished our discussion. The other guest stated yes the luxury spa and another room for my mother. What other room replied Marion? She again disappeared for around 10 minutes leaving both parties standing in the driveway for our second awkward silence of the evening. When Marion finally arrived she told them that she had only booked one room and she could not accommodate them. Suddenly we had stopped being invisible as Marion gave me her full attention by saying "in front of the other guests" ha if you now want the room it is ours but I would have to pay extra as the other guest had paid more for the room than me........ O.k. by now i was getting a little angry. I chatted to the other guests and they agreed that they would forfeit the room..I should have walked away but it was bank holiday weekend and there was no way i was going to find another place at this time of night. Marion showed us to our room (which was very nice) showed us the Jacuzzi and then stated you can have a bath but not to turn the jacuzzi on after 8.0pm. as it was too noisy for the other guests!! I could tell that this wasn't going to be my best holiday!! Marion left and I immediately turned on the jacuzzi as I only had just over an hour remaining before our curfew. 10 minutes into my luxury jacuzzi there was a knocking at the door..... I chose to ignore it......the knock became a banging....the banging then became a shouting.......I need you to pay for the room!! I then got out of the bath to tell her I was in the bath! Ok she replied be in my office in 10 minutes. 10 minutes later I was dressed and opened the door to find Marion waiting outside....by this time i was feeling a little uneasy about my stay in the little red rooster. When we arrived at her office she again tried to haggle with me to increase my payment or at least meet her half way....I was exhausted and we finally agreed that I would pay her an extra 4 pounds...all that haggling just for 4 pounds! I went back to the room angry, tired, totally deflated that my romantic weekend which was ruined. I even found that on returning to the room that we were continually whisppering to each other affraid that Marrion was prowling outside. Well just to let you know, me and my partner are still together bu I deffinately will not be returning the the little red rooster

The red rooster is a very good b&b and Marion stone (owner) is a very nice person who likes to look after her guests. While staying there met other people who have stayed there and we could not fault her will return there some time. A little out of town but taxi rates are cheap £4.00 to town

We have just returned home from our holiday in Tenby, and have really enjoyed our stay at the red rooster. We have read earlier reviews and didnt know what to expect, but we had a lovely quiet holiday. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

Read some of the reviews before going to the rooster --did have some concerns after reading them-- me and my partner stayed with our dog and must say we really enjoyed all the hotel had to offer--it's just outside the town nice walk for us and our dog and not next to a noisy nightclub/bar etc Marion was nice and welcoming wish we could of stayed longer --I always take reviews with a pinch of salt and try it for myself and wasn't let down thanks for having us

I just booked 2 nights in 2 weeks at this lovely looking hotel on booking.com after it was advertised as 'book now pay later' like most hotels do these days. As I booked I was unsure as I had seen the cancellation policy was 100% but felt safe knowing I wouldn't cancel anyway, but felt it was strange. After booking I noticed nothing had left my bank account and so thought I might aswell book my train tickets now before the prices are hiked closer to the time. An hour or so later the woman from this hotel called and told me that my payment had been declined and asked me for another card (I have two but would rather use my own money than credit cards!) I asked her why she was attempting to take the money now as I'd not heared of this before and she said everybody does it... do they? I named a few hotels I had stayed in this year that hadn't! I had heared of cancellation policies and payments being taken if you cancelled last minute.. but taking full payment for a nights stay before you arrive?! Anyway, I explained my situation, that I had booked my trains and thats why my funds had gone down, payday is tomorrow.. she said she didn't want to hear about that and wanted to know WHEN she could charge my card! It is next weekend.. could she wait, apparently not! After an argument about advertising 'book now pay later' she then told me that she didn't WANT me to stay at her hotel as I didn't have funds and couldn't afford it!! Cheek! I said that's fine, you're cancelling my stay so I will not be liable to pay.. she disagreed! I told her to sue me, for £78 if it's really worth it to her and she said she could & she would win! (Is this really how you speak to potential new customers... who were keen to take up their upcoming offer in the winter months too?!!) I have now had to cancel my card to prevent her taking a payment out. I will tell all my friends to avoid such rude service, if that's how she speaks to someone before you've got there who knows what she would be like when we was actually there. A little tip for you Red Rooster... the service you provide starts the moment you take that booking!! Don't false advertise.. speak to the conpany you're advertising through... NOT ME!! Now have to book elsewhere.. I'm sure they'd prefer my hard earned cash that i earned working in the SERVICE industry!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Red Rooster with Marion and had a thoroughly enjoyable break. We were only there for two days but found the B & B very clean, peaceful and comfortable. It's on the outskirts of Tenby which means you are one step removed from the noise of the town centre and it's a lovely walk (although a tad hilly) to get into the quaint sqaure. The breakfast was a big spread, and made for a sociable morning. We felt very welcomed and will be recommending this to our friends. If you get the chance the attic room within the main house is lovely. Thanks Kate and Steve
"It could be so much more"

We booked this and then read the reviews and were very worried, however we thought Marian very friendly and our room was lovely, although overall we believe that we could have had a better experience. This was because we overlooked a lovely garden, but were never invited to sit in it, in our room there was a picture postcard of the property, showing a well appointed lounge, but we weren't shown where it was or invited to use it. We chose not to have breakfast so didn't see the dining room either - maybe we should have asked, but I think these facilities should be offered. Our bedroom was brilliant, spacious with very good quality furnishings and fittings and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and Marion said for us to enjoy the Jacuzzi but just to be mindful of sloshing water over the side, which is fair enough, she didn't say that we couldn't use it after a certain time, nor were there any other restrictions put on us. Overall I thought it was a little pricey for what basically was a bed and bath, but if Marion had said "this is the garden & lounge, feel free to use them whenever you want" I would have thought the price reasonable.
