"Col Cold Cold but No heating"
Dissapointed as I searched online for 4 star hotel and this was found by your system- a bed and breakfast minus breakfast. Extremely cold as the heating was not switched on through the night but for 1 hour when we got in for the night at 10.00. We were out all day both days. For the price we paid there were hotels with heated rooms throughout day and […] night and proper reception and lounge and bars. This place is appallingly deceptive in the description and we were fooled into paying for cold experience. Please please do not book to go in unless you carry a portable heating device with you. Not a good reception on arrival, room next to the utility/wash room, bedding not fresh, towels dirty- not washed, room & bathroom not warm enough, heating went off before 9pm, shower water only warm, hall and outside light shine in room, wi fi connection would not connect, tv limited only to freeview chanels. Breakfast extra at £11 each, very limited […] choices. With room rate and breakfast on top a very expensive night taking all the above into consideration. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Sauberes Zimmer in sehr ruhiger Lage!Genuine Expedia guest review
"A lovely b&b...x"

Me and my husband had a lovely, pleasant stay at red rooster rest. Very clean and lovely deco the bathroom was very modern and spotlessly clean. Marion the owner was friendly and very helpful, i cant understand the reviews to be honest, before we went we read the reviews and were dreading our stay but it couldn't have been more different. We were told park wherever theres space and any problems just ask. I would say it was so far away from town bout 10mins or so to middle of town which was fine for us, the walk was lovely. The only downside was price on breakfast, £11 per head was very steep in my opinion. We went into the town were a breakfast was £4.25 so much more respectable. Overall would definitely go again to the red rooster rest.
"Great little break"

We stayed at the little red rooster for the Tenby Long course weekend. I phoned in the week to confirm we would be turning up between 5 and 6pm, We turned up and knocked on the door and was met be Marion and she was more than helpful and very pleasant, we had a little chat and she showed us to our room. Showed us were everything was and a secure place to store our bikes. We paid a £88 deposit and the balance on departure, to be fair we was not sure if breakfast was included or not, We didn't ask and took it as it wasn't as the web site stated breakfast was £11 so we took instant porridge that's just what we needed for sporting events anyway. I suggest when booking make sure if you know breakfast is included in your booking price or not. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was just so comfy, the walls seems a little thin and we could hear room next to us and doors slam a little, we always carry ear plugs in the event of this (lessons learnt before) so wasn't a problem. The spar bath was very nice. Nice clean white towels. There was now Wi-Fi unfortunately but plenty of TV channels. Its about 10mins walk from town or a couple of mins in the car. Great place to stay.
"Not as bad as people say"
To be fair Marion was fine with us . Breakfast was nice but a little pricey at £11 per head Not very close to town but if you had a car fine. Rooms were clean, we stayed in separate house further up the drive. Missed wifi :(
"Not what we expected"

We booked our stay having viewed the accommodation online as part of a two center stay in Wales. The location was not as advertised and is more than a few minutes walk to the beach, Marion greeted us and we were shown to the room adjacent to the laundry in which we felt very uncomfortable. The room was small and dark despite it being a beautiful sunny day, cluttered and had an over powering smell of bleach that made me want to gag. Marion could be heard speaking on the phone through the walls despite the door being closed, the door also had a large glass insert covered by a thin curtain. The add describes large attractive gardens, these were not accessible to us (one gate locked internally the other cluttered by rubbish) and we were not invited to use them. We were not invited to use any other living space but were asked by Marion to move our car to a restricted area of parking so she could clean the front patio and wash her car, We asked Marion for directions to the nearest beach thinking it would be in close walking distance, she confused herself and forgot what she was saying, she then directed us to the island which is visited by boat! We visited the local beach which was a 10 minute drive at least, on our return it was clear that Marion had not cleaned the patio area or washed her car, the parking area is limited and we felt that this was why she wanted our car moved. On re-entering the room my wife and I looked at each other and both agreed that we could not bear to stay in this very poor accommodation and left immediately. We have stayed in other 4 & 5 star rated accommodation worthy of the rating, in our opinion this is not one of them - we would be pushed to rate the room we were offered at more that 2 or 3 stars, we have to wonder how the Welsh tourist board rate their star system. This was not a cheap booking, when we spoke with Marion it was clear that our money had already been taken and would not be reimbursed, a totally different experience to one we had during previous days, spent at a lovely farm near Barnmouth. We will not be returning..

"Nice Room, good location...Scary host"

We should have known better really as it was one of the few places that still had rooms left. We turned up after 2pm as requested, Marion seemed nice enough......then it was straight in with the "muddy shoes off, only fill the bath up to this level & don't get water anywhere other than the inside of the bath" she then proceeded to tell us how annoying everyone had been this weekend for booking just 1 night and how much trouble it had been to prepare the rooms". There were signs posted up around the room giving us even more rules or regulations. However, we are both pretty easy going and made light of the situation by whispering and being over dramatic everytime one of us made a noise! It must be said that we had hoped for a romantic getaway but we were both too terrified to do anything remotely romantic for fear she would burst in...... Overall the location was good for us, the room was clean and the bed was comfy, the TV had poor reception and we were too scared to ask for the wifi password but apart from that, I guess if you are desperate like us, its ok.

Nice room but freezing cold and furniture dated . Lovely comfortable bed tho .Owner took all the fee as soon as I booked !!! What if we needed to cancel ?! Heavy net curtains made the room very dark but the duvet and other curtains were lovely . During the night an annoying blue intruder light flashed every time I moved ! Very close to the town so very convenient . Didn't get the advertised complimentary bowl of fruit!! Nice shower and en suite .Think breakfast £11.00 too expensive so made instant porridge . X
"Far from a restful stay"

Our trip to Tenby was meant to be a treat. Ha. I wish. My Uncle and Aunt booked it for us and asked for two rooms, which they understood would be together. No - separate buildings. We looked on the bright side, as not very far, but not what we were expecting. Marion at first thought my Uncle was my partner, when my Aunt was stood right next to us, which was weird. I should have known then something was not right. We were shown to our rooms, and given a lecture about not using the bath or running the Jacuzzi after 8pm and noise generally. My room was clean, but rather fussy and cluttered. My room was cold (my Uncle and Aunt's was fine as on a different system) and I was told it was under floor heating, which took a while to come on. I am doing up my house at present, so have had no heat through the winter, so the thought of staying somewhere was such a treat, but without heat, it was very disappointing. I was told Marion was going to put the heat on when we went exploring about 5pm, so by the time we came back several hours later I did expect an improvement but no. It was still freezing. I had a bath to warm up, but was expecting to be told off at any time as it was too late! I should have told her that evening it was cold, but to be honest I was exhausted, and I didn't want to cause a fuss as my Uncle and Aunt were treating me. TV signal was poor and you could only pick up the wifi in the house at the end of the drive, not where my Uncle and Aunt were, which was frustrating for them. After being given a lecture about noise, I was less than impressed when woken up by Marion after midnight by her talking very loudly in the room next to me for ages. She when woke me up again early morning as I could hear her brushing her teeth - the walls are that thin! argh. even more exhausted and still cold. Using the shower could have been quite dangerous as there were a number of glass shelves in the shower, and very easy to knock yourself, which could have been lethal. I did raise the heating issue with her in the morning, but was told oh it must still be coming on as takes ages to heat up (err no) and then oh maybe its faulty, but I didn't know (really??) Breakfast was not included, but it was pricey and instead we found a fabulous place in town right on the beach, so that was perfect. I would definitely go back to Tenby again, but I would definitely not stay here.

I booked to stay at The Little Red Rooster in Tenby 6 weeks in advance of my stay. I was charged straight away for the full amount and did not receive any booking confirmation. I waited around 3 weeks and contacted Marilen the owner and stated that I thought it was very unfair to bill someone without providing them with a confirmation of their booking or payment. She apologised and said she would send me confirmation. No confirmation arrived. After travelling 6 hours to tenby we contacted her to see if we could check in before we attended a wedding and were told no as she was 'just off to get groceries'. When we later checked in the bathroom was dirty and covered in leaves and mess that had broken off from a tree outside the bathroom window, which was open. We also received a lecture on how to fill the bath to a halfway level and how not to wet the bathroom floor. We were also told that we couldn't use the bath during evening time. On popping back to our room during early evening we received a note in our room which stated we would be cooked a full breakfast the next morning at 9. The next morning at 9am we attended the next building as requested for breakfast and were told that Marilen had come back into our room after we had left and taken back her offer of breakfast. She had assumed that we hadn't seen the note and did not require breakfast. I paid 85 for the room and for breakfast for two. I was appalled that breakfast was not provided and that twice during the evening she had sneaked into our room. Marilen stated we could 'come back in half an hour and she would do us some breakfast as she already had guests to serve'. By this point the thought of sitting in her kitchen and listening to her skawk at us wasn't attractive. We said we would head off on our travels and she stated that she would fully refund the price for breakfast. That was over a fortnight and still no refund. Obviously I now see she had no intention of paying. The B and B was advertised as Little Red Rooster Rest. Perhaps a name change due to bad reviews in the past?! I sincerely wish I had read the reviews on this website before booking. I would never stay there again.

I stayed here and the house is lovely but the landlady is very in your face and made me feel very uncomfortable and we were treated like children, I felt like I was being watched the whole time.. Will not go back again, too many rules and quite costly without breakfast...TS..
