"It was ok, but £20 too expensive"
80's styled room, chintzy decoration, sharp glass shelves in the shower, breakfast £11 per head on top of the price. So many other places are doing it better for less.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Col Cold Cold but No heating"
Dissapointed as I searched online for 4 star hotel and this was found by your system- a bed and breakfast minus breakfast. Extremely cold as the heating was not switched on through the night but for 1 hour when we got in for the night at 10.00. We were out all day both days. For the price we paid there were hotels with heated rooms throughout day and […] night and proper reception and lounge and bars. This place is appallingly deceptive in the description and we were fooled into paying for cold experience. Please please do not book to go in unless you carry a portable heating device with you. Not a good reception on arrival, room next to the utility/wash room, bedding not fresh, towels dirty- not washed, room & bathroom not warm enough, heating went off before 9pm, shower water only warm, hall and outside light shine in room, wi fi connection would not connect, tv limited only to freeview chanels. Breakfast extra at £11 each, very limited […] choices. With room rate and breakfast on top a very expensive night taking all the above into consideration. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Sauberes Zimmer in sehr ruhiger Lage!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet and a charming landlady"

We stayed here for just 1 night. Unfortunately we arrived quite late (after 9pm) but the landlady was still up and checked us in. The place is lovely and quiet, in keeping decor and it was a pleasure to stay there! Car parking on site right outside a big bonus, quick 10 minute walk into the centre of Tenby. Suited us great.

after ariving we were stricly warned not to talk loudly, play music or arrive back after 11-12 o'clock in the night! we were spoken to like children. we tried our hardest to stay as quiet as possible, and being back at 9:45 and in bed ready to sleep at 10:30. as we went to check out the next morning we were rudly greeted by marion who spoke to me in a disgusting manor and were blamed for apparently being up all right running around drunk!!! bascially because of our age! the way i was spoken to was so disrespectful and i was in utter shock! marion now has the cheek to demand £45 from our group after we have done nothing wrong!!! i would not recommend this horrible place to anyone unless your retired or willing to put up with a dispicable host!!!! I personally think she is looking for a way to get money out of customers by falsly accusing guests of causing disruption from the reviews i have read.
"Approach with catution!"

Booked to stay at the Red Rooster Rest, paid on booking £77. Just 3 weeks later the hotel took another £88 out of my account without my consent. Not sure how they were able to save my details, considering I paid by card this would mean that the 3 digit security code was stored for future use! When reporting the issue to the owner, she would not admit liability and took over a week to even look into my complaint. She then tried to blame 'guestlink' for taking the double payment, when in fact I had spoken with them and they do not hold any card details, only provide the hotel with the booking link. I'm not sure the owner Marion quite understood how this works. She was abrupt and ignorant to the fact she had in fact stolen from me. She spoke to both my partner and I in a derogatory manor. After weeks of being persistent with my complaint and trying to cancel the booking altogether as a result, she eventually refunded one of the payments (£78) for my initial booking. However she still refused to refund the further £88, giving the excuse that 'guestlink' had to process the refund. I contacted guestlink for the second time and they informed me that only Marion could cancel the booking and issue the refund, however she was not willing to do this as her terms and conditions state that the first night is non-refundable. I then left answer messages and txts to inform Marion that if she was keeping my money then I would in fact go ahead with the stay. She told me it was too late as 'guestlink' had already cancelled my booking. Poor guestlink were getting all the blame!!! Anyway still to this day I have not received the refund from the red rooster rest and she is not willing to let us proceed with the booking either, even though our room is showing as available for the required date!!! I must say the customer service experience with this hotel was diabolical.

The negative points were that we booked through booking.com, about 5 minutes after booking the owner rang and wanted the payment for the booking even though we booked with a 'book now pay later' guarantee. This wasn't a problem in our case but it some cases this could prove problematic. Secondly, whilst being shown around our room we were told 'not to splash in the bath' in a very condescending fashion. Finally, breakfast was way overpriced for what it was, especially with the amount of amazing full English breakfasts available in tenby . Other than these two points, everything else with the stay was beautiful, the owner was hospitable, friendly and helpful, if not a little cooky (in a good way). The room was clean, tidy, well furnished and to a very high standard. Overall was a wonderful place to stay despite the little niggles. Would happily return the next time spent in tenby.
"Twice returned and still excellent"

This is my second stay at the Red Rooster with my husband and another thoroughly lovely experience. The B & B is warm and welcoming, there's no air of stuffiness and it is set in beautiful surroundings. The owner not only remembered us but upgraded our room as a returning customer, and we couldn't have been happier. Thank you again for a fantastic holiday xxx
"A unique experince"

The owner on arrival advised she had given us a better room and we initially checked and went straight out but having realised it wasn't the room we had booked as we have booked the deluxe we were shown the deluxe room which was separate from the house and provided more privacy and better parking. We then went out and the taxi into Tenby was £3 which was brilliant! The room was gorgeous and the spa bath was amazing if you go I recommend you ask for room 17!! The owner and I had a fantastic chat upon leaving and would advise that you just talk to her as she is accommodating.
"Very cold and was downgraded upon arrival!"
Was very excited to spend a weekend together in Tenby at the red rooster rest, upon arrival the lady was very friendly and told us the room we was to stay in was slightly better than what we payed for, however we soon realised this was not true, the room was very cold and when the lady was contacted she said the heating was on a timer and it isn't swtiched on when she isn't home, we actually had to go and buy warm nightwear to keep warm. Our room was supposed to have a bath but instead had a wet room with shower which wasn't of a good standard or temperature. We did not receive one clean towel the whole time we was there (three days) and had to try and dry them on the radiators which were hardly ever on. Felt as though we were being fussy but it simply wasn't the case, our needs were not met and we did not get the standard we payed for, The room we stayed in was nothing like the pictures on the website, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tenby but would definitely not recommend this hotel.
"Please pay immediately and feel VERY unwelcome!"
02/21/15 Hayley F Walsall, United Kingdom
This was booked for a romantic 3 night stay. We were looking forward to it as the lady on the phone sounded very hospitable and it all looked amazing. However payment was taken without consent a week before arrival and upon arrival we went with the upgrade but this was requested immediately which was not too much of an issue, however the f act towels were laid on the stairs for us to walk on was a little odd. Things only got worse when I got into my jacuzzi bath only to hear bellowed up the stairs "don't get water on the floor!". The next day we got back to discover that the lady turns the heating off when she goes out so our room was that cold we had to sit in bed to get warm and had to wait till she got home to turn the heating back on again. The final night was where it got worse when we were told we had to move out of our luxury room which we had paid for and more to a basic room as shed double booked but was not willing to refund the extra we'd paid. So overall the place is lovely but you are made to feel like your being watched every minute and she is very rude when it comes to the money side of things. We went away for a break but it was like living with an obsessive relative watching every move you make - I'd just like to know how she knew I'd just got in the bath?? Like another review I'm questioning wether she listens outside the room or has a camera in there??
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the little red rooster, the owner is a lovely lady, very welcoming! Our room which had the kingsize bed and spa was warm and very clean, the spa was lovely and made mine and my husbands stay perfect! The place is in a good location, with the town only a very short distance away, £3 in a taxi. I would highly recommend this B&B!
