Except for a previous customer's dirty socks (reason for the "1") that were left under the pull out sofa, the rooms were clean and as expected. Given that it was Fasnacht, the hotel offered a reasonable room at a reasonable cost and I was able to book only two nights instead of 3 or 4 as required at other Basel hotels. The hotel was convenient for driving with parking below and was close to tram and bus stops. The staff was not very helpful. My guess is that they were transplants from other regions and weren't informed about the city. In an effort to answer questions, they did nothing more than to read the copied printouts of information provided by the hotel.

If you are looking for a safe, clean place in a great location in Basel at a great price, this hotel fits the bill. It is no frills...if you get there... past 6pm, you'll have to call to get a code to get in the door and get your keys as there's no reception overnight. There's no breakfast. Perfectly acceptable and simple hotel. Shame the rooms don't get cleaned every day, we were there 4 days and the room wasn't touched. Pleasant staff, easy location to get to via tram.

This hotel is in a good location (easy access from Tram #15 or 16) and close to SBB. Only having front desk from 8am-5pm was weird but actually worked fine. When I had problem with WiFi access they went out of their way to solve the problem, including calling me during the day to give me a status update. Room and bathroom were good size. It was a nice hotel located real close to the center of the city and served very well by the metro lines. All around it there are supermarkets and restaurants. The personell of the hotel was very friendly and helpfull. The only unsual thing was the cleaning of the aparthment: I think that every room is considered like a small aparthment therefore, differently […] from a room of an hotel, it's cleaned only once you are checking out. I was ok with it beacuse I only stayed for 4 days. I don't known what happen in the case of a longer stay. The room was essential but well cleaned and equipped with a TV, a hairdryer and a lot of towels. I found very useful the guide book inside the room: there were a lot of usefull info. I would recomed this hotel for everybody. Read more

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt, die Ausstattung allerdings etwas sehr spartanisch. Zumindest einen Wecker sollte es doch in einem Hotelzimmer geben, zumal, da am Wochenende die Rezeption nicht besetzt ist.

Das Hotel liegt rund 10 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof und ist ideal für eine Nacht. Das Zimmer war sauber und modern. Allerdings ist das Haus sehr ringhörig, man versteht jedes Wort, das auf dem Gang gesprochen wird.
