      Near Stirling castle and woolen mill outlets but also a bit difficult to find. There is a B and B in Stirling also called Woodside. The hotel is a bit shabby but the owners are good and the food was good with full breakfast. Local scenery is beautiful and oozing history. Near Loch Lomond and National Park.

    This is an historic hotel of great character and the owner/operators are extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. The convivial atmosphere in the bar/dining room at night with other guests was great. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would go there again.

    James and Nelly were very wonderful hosts - very welcoming, helpful, friendly, informative and kind. They could not do enough for us. The hotel is very cosy and homely and is very centrally located for most attractions with no more than an hours drive to see the best sites. It is an old 17th century inn with fantastic views. We ended up staying an additional […] night. Breakfast, bar and dinners were exceptional - especially the the home cooked curry and chocolate fudge cake on the Thursday night. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone. Read more
