It was a bit underwhelming. I know that a lot of the structures in the keys are older. Sometimes that can lend to their charm if they are well maintained. Very cute little place with a great pool and a nice little beach. Great for divers. The water by the tiny beach and around the hotel was polluted with gas and merk so no scuba diving or swimming there.

This place is so wonderful. The plantation style cottage type buildings make this a romantic get away. If you are into diving. This is your place. We stayed as a stop over in our sight seeing tour to Key West. I highly recommend this boutique resort. Your gonna love it.

This was the perfect spot for a dive vacation, the resort is quaint, older, but updated and clean. The staff was very helpful, the location from room to pool to boat was fantastic. We didn't bring any of our own equipment and used all resort equipment for an additional $30 per person, I felt that was fair, and it included wetsuits if you wanted. Plenty to see, there is no divemaster on the dive though, you are told when to be back on the boat and basicly set free, I am experienced, so this was not a problem for us, but just giving a heads up. This hotel was clean and comfortable, although not fancy. The location was excellent, and we had a very relaxed time sitting in the chaises looking at the water, watching sunsets, and relaxing. The people are friendly and the location is great. Good place for divers to go. The hotel needs maintenance - they seem more focused on the diving operation than keeping things in shape in the rooms. It did not negatively affect our stay, though. I would recommend this place as an affordable location in Key Largo.

The front desk people were really helpful, the pool was lovely and the docks were nice for sitting and enjoying the sea. Our only concerns were very thin walls so you hear the people speaking in the next room and incessant leaf blowing in the morning hours when we were hoping to relax and enjoy the sweet sounds of nature. Leaf blowing is dusty too. […] I would suggest to the management they either skip the leaf blowing or do it in the change-over hours between 12 and 3 pm. But overall, quite a nice place to stay. The staff was very friendly, the area was right off the road, but seemed miles away from it all. It is an older place, but well kept. The area is covered with palm trees and they offer dive lessons and tours along with snorkeling, it was incredible. Our room had a screened-in porch with a nice large hammock with a view of the swimming area, ocean and […] gorgeous sunset. My only complaint was the sea grass in the swimming area, but state laws forbid the removal and any place you stay in the keys will most likely have it as well. Hotel was an hour from MIA, which was convenient, and probably great if you are a diver, since they have trips that leave right from the property. But we're not divers. The hotel is close to the road, so many rooms have quite a bit of traffic noise from Rte 1, even overnight. The bathroom was VERY tired but passably clean (rusty tub and mildewed grout). […] We did not expect a kitchenette but the dishes in it were not clean. We chose this hotel becuase of the price and location for a recent Spring Break trip to the Keys. We could not have been more pleased. It is not a luxury resort by any means, but the rooms are clean, bright and well-kept and the grounds are beautiful. We were mostly thrilled by the helpful staff who were spot on with directions and reccomendations of […] resturants, bars and other actvities. We enjoyed it but I do not think we will go bak to Key Largo again for a vacation. What we enjoued the most was the nice spots to sit outside to eat, drink and relax. And the convienence of a full kitchen so we could store and prepaire our food.

Only if you are a serious diver or need a last minute place to stay. The window shades didn't close all the way. The beds were horrible. They had plastic over the mattresses. This is something you would have for your child while toilet training, not vacationing in the keys.

We only stayed one night as a stopover on the way back from Key West to West Palm Beach. I wish we had just skipped Key West and stayed here for a few days. The view of the sunset from the dock is amazing! the facility is clean and the activity list from diving, snorkeling, sightseeing, fishing, kayaking, etc made us regret the t shirt shops and over […] priced food in Key West. The John Pennekamp state park across the road offers lots of activities as well. We went on the snorkeling trip from the state park and it was AMAZING!!! My husband and I stayed 2 nights and loved it. After spending one night in Miami, with all the busy-ness, too-cool attitudes, and jacked up prices, Key Largo was such a nice change of pace, and this resort was in keeping with it. It's right on the water with a gorgeous view of the sunset, and the rooms were surprisingly big with a mini-fridge & microwave. […] We bought a bottle of wine one night and sat out by the water looking at the stars. It's also right near many restaurants & just a few doors down from a cool tiki bar. We did not do our snorkeling on-site, although it is available which is cool. It was a little pricier than booking a snorkel trip with one of the other (many) companies on Key Largo, but if you're looking for convenience to have everything in one spot, this is great. the location is great, right on the water and walkable to a couple of good bars/restaurants if you want to leave the car for a bit. There is no restaurant on site if you want food. The rooms were large, although the furniture is slightly dated but this didn't really bother us as it was clean and good for the night we spent there.

The best part of this small resort is the location and grounds. It is on the west side of the highway - excellent for sunsets, it has a nice heated pool, a wonderful beachy area with tiki hut and morning coffee waiting for you to greet the sun with.
