"Exactly what we needed!"
Peter and Doris were amazing! They gave us perfect directions and greeted us with such hospitality when we arrived late. It was the perfect place to stay to have some privacy and peace while still having great location and access to Dubrovnik Old Town. We had an amazing view from our porch area and the internet worked great (which we needed to do a […] little business). This hotel is also 5 minutes from the Radisson Blue hotel that has a great spa. "Great new apartments."
These rooms are new and very nice. The owners were very helpful and a pleasure to meet. The location just outside of Dubrovnik was very good to get away from the busy crowds to relax in the evening. It is just a very short drive into town. If I can back to the area, I will definitely stay here again and recommend this property to my friends.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Friendly and welcoming owners"
Doris and Pero were very friendly and welcoming. Each morning outside our unit would be a little surprise eg. Cake which was a nice touch. The rooms were a good size and had most of what we needed. The shower was a letdown with no ability to fix the shower head (hand held) and water was very slow to drain. The payment terms left us in a predicament as […] the booking site did not mention we had to pay in CASH, nor were we advised about any payment in cash with the exception of the Croatian City Tax. Unfortunately our bank had limits on daily withdrawals and we ended up having to borrow the cash from Friends to pay as we only found this out the day prior to checkout. The location is close to a mini mart for groceries and a bus stop is about a 7 minute walk. The busses run every hour into dubrovnik which is approx 12km away and 20 minutes on the bus. "Friendly, inexpensive, comfortable apartment"
Residences Island View is a fine place to stay. The hosts, Pero and Doris, are very attentive and helpful, our apartment was spacious and well-appointed and the village of Orasac is lovely, with a good small supermarket very near and a cake shop at the bottom of the hill. The views over the Adriatic are marvellous and there are excellent walks. Dubrovnik […] is 11 Km away on a good 'bus route - you can, of course, hire a car, but we dis not find that necessary. We spent 4 days in Dubrovnik and 3 in Orasac, and that was about right. All in all, it was a pretty good holiday. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Self catering apartment overlooking the Adriatic"
Excellent. The owners arranged a transfer from the airport and welcomed us with drinks on the balcony when we arrived. They were extremely hospitable and left home made cakes for us on several days and organised a car hire half way though the week. We took buses us into Dubrovnik for 3 days and took a taxi backGenuine Expedia guest review
"1 Week stay in fabulous apartment"
We stayed in this apartment for 1 week and had a great time. The apartments were beautifully finished with great attention to detail. The view from the apartment is stunning. The owners who live in the main apartment Doris and Pero were exceptional hosts who couldn't do enough for us. We were left treats of fruit, homemade cake and wine. We rented a […] car for the last 3 days and Pero arranged this for us at very short notice. The car was delivered to and collected from the apartment, which made it all very easy and convenient for us. The owners are planning on building a pool at some time and this would definitely enhance the apartments' facilities as the pebble beach is about a 20 minute walk downhill and more on the return trip. Pero and Doris collected us from the airport and dropped us back to the airport at a much better rate than a taxi or transfer service would have cost. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Croatia, and the village of Orasac is a lovely place to stay if like us you enjoy peace and quiet. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great apartment for a self catering family holiday"
We arrived very late and were met with a warm and friendly welcome. The following morning Doris and Pedro (the owners) gave us much good advice on where to go locally and further afield. We initially were in the top floor apartment as a family had decided to extend their stay in the lower apartment. The top appartment has a beautiful view of the sea […] and surrounding area. On day 3 we moved down to the larger apartment which had everything we needed to self cater and was as/more comfortable than the few 5 star hotels hotels we've stayed in. We gather they hope to build a swimming pool in the next few years which will make the apartments even better! We had a hire car which helped with getting about and would definitely recommend your own transport, car or bike though a frequent bus service was a walk away. To find the accommodation you need to follow the signs for the ambulance station. All in all, we are very glad we stayed there and the owners went out of their way to be helpful and to ensure we enjoyed our stay in Croatia. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"great apartment and hosts"
We stayed here at the end of july/start of august 2013. Had a great holiday. The apartment is about 20 mins by car to dubrovnik and is in a quiet area, which suited us both perfectly for a relaxing holiday. Apartments are modern and spotlessly clean. Hosts doris and pero are very welcoming and friendly. A car is a must, we had decided to see when we […] got out there if really necessary. We concluded it was and our super hosts helped us get one on our first evening. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent stay for enjoying Dubrovnic"
The apartments are a little off the beaten track, and an accurate GPS position would be useful especially if arriving at night. Great view from the apartment balcony, but some work needs to be completed externally to match with the excellent accomodation. The very helpful family live above the apartment and have young children, but due to the tiled […] floors , noise, which can be intrusive , is transferred below. Very comfortable, recently completed apartment within the owners' house in a quiet village. Easy access to Dubrovnik. Owners Peter & Doris are very friendly and perfect hosts. Lovely views over islands. Wished we had time to stay longer. Very many thanks.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Kroatia-Orasac and Doris & Pero"
Kiitos - Thank You for your hospitality Doris and Pero, and of course twins Dora and Peter. Also we thank you for giving us to use the residence at your own home. The sea view was great too on the floor under the balcon of your own flat. We´ll hope some improvments on the environment which are not in your own hand. Maybe we ´ve to suggest to hire a […] car because of the mountain and the distances. But - we didn´t do that we liked to walk so much as possible for example to Hawaii Beach though the hill was very hard to come back. The public transportation is very easy to use and reach. We can also recommend to hire a small motorboat to see a lot of more. Orasac is a very small village - the three things- market, church and cafeteria - and of course - doctor. Regards! From our home-made cherry liqueur on arrival to lifts into the city and to the airport, Doris and Pero could not have been more welcoming. Lovely, clean apartment and island view terrace, where we found a different breakfast surprise each morning! The local shop, beach and bus stop were all within easy walking distance making it an ideal base to visit the beautiful old city of Dubrovnik. Doris also arranged a boat trip to the islands for us, which was well worth it. We will hopefully return sometime soon... Laura & Ian

We stayed in May and had an idyllic time away from it all.The owners could not be helpful enough and every morning delivered a breakfast surprise. We walked to the little shop every morning and then walked to the beach to sun bathe and relax looking out over the islands. We had free use of the garden salads lemons and limes. The apartment was immaculate and had everything you could need. We didn't hire a car but it was easy to travel round on local buses. The coastal walk to Trestono was beautiful. A wonderful place to relax and unwind. Thank you Pero and Doris.
Just arrived home from this absolute gem this morning and already I need to share what a fantastic time we had. Me and my boyfriend holidayed here for a week bearing in mind we are just 22 and 24 and we adored it. Such a beautiful country. I would say hiring a car is essential (however our neighbours told us they had been getting around fine via the local buses) but for a reasonable enough price having a car made our holiday so much more enjoyable as we got to see so much! (Free parking space to the front of the property). Apartment lovely and clean all the amenities you could need including air cond and wifi. The owners were delightful leaving us cakes each morning :) and the view takes your breath away. Definitely worth staying outside the city if only for that. Cannot express how much of a nice time we had! If you want a nice peaceful holiday seeing lots of beautiful views and beaches here is where you need to be! Amazing thank you guys hopefully we will be back xx

We stayed in April and had a lovely time. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and spacious with a terrace with sea views. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. In addition they were very generous leaving us pastries, chocolate and wine. They even cooked us a delicious meal on our last evening! It is an ideal base to explore Dubrovnik and Southern Croatia but we do recommend you hire a car. During our stay we visited the islands of Mljet and Korcula. We would certainly highly recommend this holiday accommodation to other travellers.

We stayed at this apartment in August this year for a week. Doris and Piero were extremely friendly and helpful - always checking that we were OK and providing us with tips on what to do/where to go. Their children were so cute! On top of that, the apartment itself was really nice - extremely clean and stylishly decorated. A little compact perhaps for the 4 of us but has everything you could need in it - perfect for cooking family meals. There is also a table with chairs on the patio outside where it was lovely to read a book whilst admiring the view. The location was also really excellent. It was a quiet village but the Radisson Blu hotel nearby provides all the sports facilities one might wish for, there are several beaches nearby, Dubrovnik is very near but not so near that you are affected by traffic/tourists and with the main coastal road passing through the village, it was very easy to get to other places like Mljet and Korcula by car. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone.
"Wonderful hosts, nice apartment, incredible view!"

It is our last day in Croatia and we do not want to leave this sunny friendly country and our cosy Croatian home - residence island view villa. We travel a lot and most of the time stay in private apartments rather than hotels. Our Croatian hosts Doris and Pero were the best ever! We had a feeling that we visited family or friends - starting from welcome drinks and recommendations about the places of interest at the very beginning, thorough our whole stay (they left fruits and sweets in our room) until our arrival when they kindly arranged a transfer to the airport and presented us a bottle of local liquor and lavanda. The place itself is clean nice and quiet with a view of sea and nearby islands. But we recommend you to hire a car, as we did, so you can easily reach Dubrovnik (about 12 km from the apartment) and other beautiful places in the area. There is a very good beach in Radisson hotel nearby, you are allowed to use the amenities even if you do not stay at the hotel. Following Doris and Pero's advice we found several very nice restaurants in the area: Kapitanova Kuca in Mali Ston (about 40 km). Two villages of Ston (Mali & Veliki) are worth visiting. There is a city wall in Veliki Ston known as European wall of China, the oldest salt pans in Europe and fresh oysters (they farm oysters in Ston). Leut in Cavtat (about 40 km). You can easily meet internatioal celebrities & businessman there. Elisabeth Taylor, Roman Abramovich are among the restaurants' guests. We also liked Gverovic Orsan in Mali Zaton (5 km) with tables right by the water's age. We can also right a lot about Dubrovnik, but it's better once to come and see, it's an amazing city. Doris and Pero, Thank you very much for everything, we will definitely come back! Alena and Segey
"Friendly owners, lovely apartment."

We stayed at this apartment in August and it really is a nice little place. The owners are very friendly and helpful, with planning trips and getting local information. There are two apartments both with terraces and the owners and their lovely little twins live above. The apartment is nestled in the hillside of Orasac. Following the main costal road from the airport, it takes about forty minutes to get to Orasac. Take the main turning to Orasac and follow the red cross signs until you cross a small stone bridge on the right. The apartment is on the left down the track. The owners will meet you outside if you phone them. You will really need a car if you are staying here though and parking is available. The apartment is clean and modern and well stocked with all the essentials. Wi-Fi works well too. Its very quiet around the area and you have views of the sea, although occasionally interrupted by trees. Dubrovnik is a fifteen minute drive (there is a multi-storey car park about five minutes from the Old City) or you can catch a bus in from the main road (bus stop by tourist office). The Radisson Blu hotel is nearby and non guests can use its facilities. We used the public beach a little further down the road the Radisson is on. Its a lovely little beach and was quiet on all the days we visited, it does however have a lot of steps. The alternative is Hawaii beach close to the tourist office. You can drive down to it, but its step, twisty and very hard to get back out of again. All in all a nice clean quiet apartment in a good setting, I can't fault it.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Residences Island View. Firstly, location, close enough to amenities (close to main coastal road, supermarkets, Dubrovnik - 15minutes) but quiet. The views were stunning, we enjoyed sitting out on our patio area. Secondly, the apartment was a superior quality in style and furnishings, compact kitchenette, bathroom with excellent sized shower cubicle, our large bedroom with large bed was so comfortable and everything beautifully clean. Lastly, Doris and Piero were so welcoming and helpful, advising on local & Dubrovnik area and ensuring we enjoyed our time in their country. We would definitely like to return to Croatia and Residences & recommend hiring a car to see this beautiful country.
"Residences Island View July 2013"

We stayed in these apartments for one week and were very comfortable. They are in a lovely location with a scenic view across the sea to the islands. Our hosts Pero and Doris were very friendly and helpful, welcoming us with drinks and sweet snacks and offering advice and where to go and what to see. They even organised a day boat excursion to the local islands with lunch including a pick up and return to the apartment which was very enjoyable. We had a large living room with arm chair and 2 sofa beds, a well equipped kitchen area with a dining table and 4 chairs, a bedroom with a large king size bed and a separate bathroom with a large shower enclosure. It was well furnished and clean with air conditioning and Wi-Fi and made a very pleasant base from which to explore the area. You can walk down to the local beach and Radisson resort in about 10 minutes by a path and some steps down the hill and to the main road to catch a bus, but you really are better off renting a car to get around. It takes about 35-40 minutes to drive to the airport and about 15 minutes to Dubrovinik where there is a large public parking garage from which you can reach the old town with a 5- 10 minute walk. The town is very attractive and I would recommend taking the cable car up to the hill top above to see the lovely view over the walls and roof tops out to sea. Apart from the boat trips other good excursions are to the Walled village of Ston, Korcula old town, Kotor in Montenegro and the old town and bridge in Mostar in neighbouring Bosnia. To find the apartment just follow the main road from Dubrovnik towards Split. Shortly after passing the Radisson on your you turn right towards Orosac village centre. At the T junction turn right (follow the Red Cross ambulance sign) for a few hundred yards. Shortly after you cross a little stone bridge at the bottom of a dip the house is just up the hill on the right. Look for the stone cross outside and turn right down a short narrow track. There is a small sign post but it is easy to miss.
"Lovely apartment, lovely hosts!"

We can’t speak more highly of this self-catering apartment, and especially of the lovely hosts. We had spent the majority of our stay in Croatia in expensive hotels and had wanted something quieter and with more character. We found Residences Island View online and booked it assuming it would be good- and we could have been more happy. It was the perfect way to finish our trip. Positives: The best thing about this place is the hosts. Their own home is on the street level/upstairs level, with the two self-catering apartments on the lower level of their home with private entrances at the rear of the property, facing the water in the distance. The hosts hit the balance perfectly right! They were so warm and friendly and were available when we wanted, but they gave us complete privacy when we wanted that too. On arrival they greeted us with a cold drink and a homemade liqueur on their own deck, and chatted about things to do and see, while we swooned over their beautiful infant twins. However when we wanted to be alone, they left us plenty of room to come and go as we pleased. Perfect. The furnishings and finishings in the apartment were as nice as what I would choose for my own home, and the apartment was clean, and the bed particularly comfortable. We slept so well. So many other places we had seen online had cheap finishings, but this apartment was really well done. I don’t think the pictures online actually do it justice, so we took a few of our own so we could rave about it in a review! After a couple days in Dubrovnik we had a lot of questions about Croatia and its history, and our hosts were so kind in answering all of our questions. Also, the apartment was about a 15 minute drive to the old town of Dubrovnik. I worried this might be restrictive- however- the reality is that Dubrovnik itself was so busy with tourists that we really enjoyed being able to come back to such a quiet apartment after being on our feet all day. If- like us- you’re looking for a quiet and affordable place to stay while dotting between beaches and Dubrovnik Old Town, then the location means is great. And you actually have a place to park your car! It's just a minute away from the Raddisson Blu, and no one would think that was far away. Negatives: The only negative is that it would be hard to stay here if you didn’t rent a car, as the apartment is nestled down some country roads into the hills, which gets that great view. But most people do rent one (I would imagine) so that shouldn't be a problem. Lastly, one very very minor bit of advice. There are lovely terraces outside each apartment overlooking the sea and island (hence the name) however there is a tree blocking the sunset views from the second apartment. The stunning view (at least from one of the two apartments) would have been even better unobstructed! But such a minor point! Overall, we are so pleased to recommend this to other guests. And we really think you couldn’t give your money to a kinder or more deserving family. If you are staying in Dubrovnik, don’t even think about staying elsewhere. Support this fantastic family and lovely apartment, and you won’t regret it! We will ABSOLUTELY be back.
