interior pictures are confusing..its basically few rooms in a basement parking space..THE ONLY advantage is right in marketplace..Genuine Expedia guest review
Genuine Expedia guest review
"goos for the price"

The room was clean although small. The bathroom was also small. The staff was helpful. Tv remote was not found. The main entrance is small and difficult to find without calling the reception. Good for the budget and 1 to 2 nights stay.
"Welcome to India"

We arrived from the airport about 4 hours before out check in time but it wasn't a problem - our room wasn't ready yet so they kindly let us sleep off our get lag in a bigger room and then moved us to our room. Rooms are good, everything you need, we just couldn't figure out how to use the hot water, not a biggie. The staff/managers were very accommodating and helped us find what we needed as well as catching tuk tuks to the correct place AND telling us how much we should be paying for them! Overall it was actually a great experience and from our point of view a good introduction to mumbai. Another plus is that it's close to the airport but some taxi drivers may not be able to find it - the roads name is Mahakali Caves Road. Ask your taxi driver to call them and they'll know from there.
"Beware the rip-off reception desk"

I arranged a stay at this hotel which included airport pick-up. They are not the best communicators and my ride was not confirmed but I was met and brought to the hotel without incident. The hotel itself is good value for money. The night staff were kindly, welcoming and efficient. Rooms on the small side but clean and functional. Typical budget Mumbai offering and in a safe area. Problems began when I wanted to stay an extra day, the price of the room was raised by 50 INR. Not a problem money wise, but I had already agreed the price the night before and my receipt reflected that price. I pointed out the 'error' and left it at that. Basically, I would have left a small tip anyway. I had also agreed for the hotel's agent to provide a railway ticket. I know the Taktal or late booking prices are higher and checked this on the internet. When the ticket arrived, 450 INR had been added to the printed price by the hotel. The receptionist, the same one as earlier, tried to tell me that was the price, getting quite angry when I showed otherwise. Sadly, (for her) the Taktal price was printed on the ticket and I had previously agreed a fee with the agent, which certainly was not 450 INR. Once established that I was not going to pay the extra, the manager arrived, apologised and told me to "pay what I wanted" as though I was being unreasonable. I pointed out that I have travelled in India many times before.and always use the railway. He at least had the grace to look abashed. What could be a pleasant hotel experience is spoiled by the rip off mentality of the staff. Travellers in India expect to pay a small premium, it happens all the time, in auto rickshaws, restaurants and bars. Folk have to make a living and I appreciate that. What I don't like is being ripped off and taken for a fool. Again, I would gladly have left a small tip as a token of appreciation for the staff. Now, all they will get is a review detailing these sharp practices. As a former railwayman and frequent user of Indian Railways, I know how the ticketing system works, but how many visitors have been duped in this way. Don't let it happen to you.
"Great accomodation in Andheri"

I stayed total 1 week in Sapphire Residency in November. Hotel is well situated close to the airport. Not far to Juhu beach, Bandra and Powai as well - locations that I needed for my escape points. Hotel staff is very helpful and always happy to have a chat. When I arrived it turned out a/c in my room was broken and there were no other rooms free but they made it fix within few hours so very impressive for India standards:) Highly recommended! Michal

It was a good hotel , but the rooms are very small . just the room and bathroom....... but my office is near so i prefer this hotel. anways, if u are on one day stay, go for this... else there are many hotel in this category,
By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Started off with no one even turning up to pick us up from the airport even though we'd received a confirmation email. Not good for 2 young girls travelling alone. We eventually found the hotel to find dirty bed sheets, creatures crawling up the wall and cockroaches in the bathroom. We had no control of the AC which was leaking water all over one of the beds. The only positive is the staff were relatively friendly and the wifi worked well. Would recommend paying a bit more to stay anywhere but here.
"Really nice place to get used to Mumbai life!"

From the minute we landed to the minute we left they looked after us completely, the rooms were fine, attached en suite always a bonus when getting used to the change in food..! Comfortable bed, breakfast delivered to the room & anything that you want all you have to do is ask! We stayed here for 4 nights having originally booked in for 2, the one thing I will say is get out of the airport before you get a taxi, there'll be plenty of opportunists waiting for you when you land trying to convince you that their taxi is cheap and you'll end up paying 20 times too much for a taxi that won't know where it's going when you could get a rick shaw outside for a fraction of the cost! Lovely spot, great introduction to India & overall thoroughly satisfied with our stay here!
"Bad food, not very clean, hard to find"

Our taxi drivers tried to charge us triple because they could not find this hotel! When we got there we found out we'd only booked a single room, for 6 people?! It seems it was an accident on our part but the room we did get we paid Rps. 3700 for one night! It had 4 beds in it and 2 dirty mattresses were dragged in by the young boy there. We put our own sheets on. The air conditioning unit leaked all over our beds and pillows and we had to ave the sheets changed again. The food we ordered wasn't very nice. It was only an indian dish and chips but both came out and it was rather disappointing in comparison to the wonderful tastes we've found in India so far. The girl on the desk was quite helpful and booked us coach tickets to head to Goa. I asked her if she had a luggage store or if we could keep our room on until we left on the night train. She said it was 1500 rupees to keep the room on til 7pm or we could store our luggage for free. We decided to use luggage store... then we found out the 'luggage store' was actually just the hallway where any of the guests and staff could access your bags. I complained to the girl until she eventually offered to store our stuff for 1000 rupees! we said no and took all our bags out into the baking hot sun, some rickshaw drivers turned up so we said can you take us to a cheap hotel (we thought we'd just rent a room until the coach left) and they said; this one, this one, pointing to the hotel we'd just left, they then said that the hotel is only 800 rupees for a room! So we ended up just walking away until we found a taxi that took us to the coach station and we waited there until our coach came. The main point of this story is that we ended up feeling conned by our hotel, they seemed to lie and be incompetent. The boys who worked there and brought us up numerous sheets, towels, food and tea didn't knock the door and just walked straight in. Over priced and a complete rip off.
"Not great for female travellers"
This hotel is hard to find and many drivers will not take you here which naturally makes you suspicious. The room on first impressions is basic but fine for a cheap stay it's only when you take a closer look you realise things are not quite as they seem. The air conditioning is filthy, unserviced, noisy and poorly installed. The bathroom window was missing allowing male neighbours a free and candid view... Therefore we didn't use the bathroom!! On waking up after a nights sleep wrapped up inside our sleeping bag liners we found that our exposed limbs I.e arms and our face were bitten (not mosquito bites) which I can only suspect was from insects living in the bed sheets. We found staff relatively helpful but over familiar which made us feel uncomfortable. Although the hotel was near a main train station and the airport. We shortened our stay and checked out the next day. For those wanting to be close to the sights we would recommend that you seek accommodation further south.
