Hotel du Golf de Clécy - Clecy

My girlfriend and I stayed at Adagio in Caen Centre while I was on a week-long business trip in town. The studio room was perfect for us because it gave us a kitchen in which to cook for ourselves part of the time, instead of eating out every meal. There are a couple grocery stores within easy walking distance, one just outside the hotel entrance. The staff was very friendly, spoke English well, and helped us out anytime we needed it. The location couldn't be better: right on the Orne River within a short walk of restaurants, shopping, nightclubs and city attractions. Highly recommend!

We loved staying here - the location was very convenient and close to the center of town. The couple that owns this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable. All in all, a great stay.

Upon registering, we paid for two (2) days breakfast. However, the second day of our visit was a Sunday, when the breakfast restaurant is closed. We would like a refund. Thank you.

Hotel Carline was selected based on reviews from previous guests.We were looking for a budget friendly hotel close to the D-day attractions that could accommodate a family of 4 adults. We were traveling (approximately 254 km) from Paris, France, the hotel was right off the highway and easy to find. The staff was friendly and patience with our struggle to speak French. We had 2 rooms with twin beds which were comfortable. The rooms were clean but could use updating. The rooms were not air-conditioned but it was cool enough at night that it was not required. The room amenities are hair dryer, 2 packets of shampoo, towels, free WiFi, television, electric kettle for water, instant coffee, tea, plastic coffee cups (I was afraid to pick up the plastic cup as it was flimsy that I might burn myself.) Nearby, there is a McDonald's and large shopping center. Hotel Carline met our expectations for a night's sleep, as it was budget-friendly, easy to find and not far from the D-Day attractions.

It was a quick trip but the front desk people were very helpful at getting us oriented to where we needed to go and how we could catch the transportation options. The front desk person even pulled up the bus schedule for us to get to the Memorial Museum. The hotel room was cute and very clean. It was also close to historic sites. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to friends. The hotel also included a spa and restaurant but we did not try either.
