I had the family room which is comfortable size, can't complain much with the price. Linens are not changed even if you stayed for a week & towels are changed on request (reception suggested alternate days). As it's not air-conditioned, we left the windows slightly opened for natural breeze. But it can be noisy with passing cars. I'm not sure how hot […] it can get if it's in summer as the room only has a ceiling fan. On proximity to UNSW, it is not near at all as opposed to what we gathered from the information. It's between 2-2.5km walk. If one need to take a bus to city or Bondi Junction, the bus stop is about 10mins walk, 0.8km. It's uphill & downhill roads, can be exhausting. Read more

This hotel is very casual; like staying at a friends house. The rooms are large with a comfortable clean bed and a good size tv, bathroom, and kitchenette area. There is a laundry room and court yard for everyone's use which we're great additions! The staff were great and very friendly. The location is perfect! Close to Bondi Junction, and many smaller […] (better) beaches! This accommodation is the best choice for travelers that don't need a hotel that has all the expensive additions (pricey restaurants/swimming pool/etc). Following some internet research we decided upon St Marks for a Saturday night stay while in town for a party. Other hotels nearby often demanded a 2-night stay, which we didn't need, while St Marks was happy with one. True to the advertising, even though the hotel was a bit of a walk from Randwick shops and Coogee beach, it was mercifully quiet and […] free parking was available on the street. The room was a decent size; we asked for a queen-sized bed and got one. A couple of reservations -- in our room the bathroom was on the pokey size (given the quite large room) and the shower door kept falling off its rails. And upon arrival two wet towels were sitting on the table (clearly an oversight). But location, value for money and friendly staff make this easy to recommend for a 3-star experience. Read more

The cleanliness of the hotel and the room were very good. I had read the previous reviews in summer complaining about the heat and thought I would be ok, as this was May. However I had the reverse problem of the summer guests. My room was SO COLD. I had two blankets on my bed and the room was still freezing, I shivered in bed (with a jumper on).
