"Good hotel for the price"
It was a good hotel for the price we paid. The rooms were very clean. There is only one complaint. The breakfast could have been a little better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Bed sheets yellow stain and cigarette holes. Carpet dirty, spider in the bathroom. Staff friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
The double queen bed room was a bit small, but the beds are very clean. toilet and shower is also working fine and clean. Room is equipped with a small refrig, microwave, coffee maker, dryer and iron with board. The air-condition is a bit noisy at night. the included breakfast is very simple: pan cake, cereal, donuts, with apple juice and milk. My kids […] love it. Overall is a pleasure to stay for a night or two. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not very clean."
The room was ok. The bed and bedding looked clean, but the bathroom was dirty. It looked like Maid Service didn't even clean the bathroom floor at all. Lots of hair all over the floor. Gross!Genuine Expedia guest review
There was a hole in the wallpaper in the bathroom . I went to find a soda machine as stated on the evac map in my room and there were no vending machines. I asked at the office and the owner came out and yelled at me that there were no vending machines. I told him they were on the map and he said that it did not say vending machines. I have a picture […] proving it does. The next morning went to use the tub and it was dirty and dingy. I rinsed it as best I could so we could use it. Horrible service and dirty too! "Comfortable and convenient"
We used this hotel for our trip into Yosemite. I think it fit the bill pretty well. Sure, it is a long drive into the park from there, but pretty much all hotels will be unless you stay in the park (good luck with that). The hotel was comfortable and quiet, and our room had a refrigerator and microwave, which was a nice convenience. I have to knock […] the breakfast; it consisted of bad coffee and not much food, and you had to eat in the room. So, if that is important to you (and it might be, if you want to get an early start for the park) you might want to pick something up or choose a different hotel. I think there are plenty of cheap restaurant options around as well, if you want to go that route. We did not use the pool, but it looked nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Sonora is great, Yosemite 1 hour away, hotel OK."
We booked the hotel so we could visit Yosemite without paying high lodging rates at the hotels in or near the park. However, this turned out to be a poor choice; Mariposa is much closer and comparable in cost. But that was my mistake, not the fault of the hotel. The Sonora Country in is a nice hotel, nice room, nice people, but the bathroom area was […] really small! It was quite cramped there. Also, I found the continental breakfast to be a bit miserly - one pastry each, pancakes with a diameter matching a tennis ball and stale cereal. Plus, the cleaning staff made the mistake of taking a used coffee stirrer and putting it back in the cup! My wife uses non-dairy creamer and spotted that right away. While we went there for Yosemite, the town of Sonora itself was a delightful surprise. Sonora is a charming little town with a rich, well preserved history, free parking, lots of shops (thrift stores abound) and great restaurants. We especially enjoyed eating at the Woods Creek Cafe - where the proprietor knows *everyone's* name -- and Christopher's Italian Ristorante, where they serve Italian food that's complex and sophisticated yet readily approachable and enjoyable. They had some great Cabernet Sauvignon from an Irish vineyard, too -- a real kick in the palate. The Candy Vault was a lot of fun for the kids -- including the grown ones like me. I readily recognized bric-a-brac and toys from my youth. Sadly, the candy itself was stale and disappointing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very good place to stay. No problems"
I have read many reviews on this location, good and bad. Our stay was fine. Beds were very good. Staff very nice and helpful. Just beware of the wood frame around the bed. I have a huge bruise on my chin. Other than that it is a good place to stay in this area that is reasonable in place and comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

very noisy.didnt get any sleep .left after 2 nights,we had booked 3.Genuine Expedia guest review
We picked this hotel as a stop before heading into Yosemite. It's still about a 90-minute drive into the park via 120. The receptionist was very cordial. The hotel was decent for the price. Overall a good stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Don't waste your money"
Poor customer service to accomodate my family and grandmother who could not walk stairs. Was charged an extra fee when we arrived for having a 3rd person (and yet we got a room with 2 queen beds; robbery!). Room smelled of mildew. Bathtub dripped water constantly. Air conditioner was incredibly loud and kept us all up all night. The carpets were so […] filthy I couldn't let my toddler walk on them without wearing shoes. The refrigerator was broken and leaked. This is the very short version, as I don't wish to waste any more time on this place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
From the moment we walked into the office, it was bad. The dark haired woman at the front desk was not helpful at all when getting our room. She was extremely rude and it seemed like we were inconveniencing her at all times. We finally got into our room, which smelled like mildew and wasn't clean. The fridge wasn't working well and was leaking. The […] curtains on the window were broke as well so We had to tie the 2 curtains together to block anyone from seeing into our room. They advertise "free wifi" but it is never working. And the continental breakfast they advertise had nothing good about it. This place was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I've never gone to a front desk of a hotel and been treated so rudely. We will never return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for the money"
The hotel was not bad the only real issues were the sheets could have been cleaned better and the continental breakfast did not start until 7:30. That makes it bad for those wanting an early start. I will stay there again upon my next trip to see my daughter. Overall it was better than I expected for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Father Son Road Trip"
First off any place that REQUIRES you to sign a waiver not to post a poor review of the facilities should be a red flag! My King bed was NOT A KING BED, no matter how you spin it. It was a queen at best. Room was somewhat expected, you get what you pay for and we just needed a place to crash for the night. The location is not near any stores or restaurants, […] which is an inconvenience after being in a car all day and not wanting to drive to get a meal or food. Housekeeping was very pleasant and helpful. The room could have used some deep cleaning. Hair was found everywhere and on towels. Would not stay here again nor recommend. "don't stay here"
Thought we had reserved a non-smoking room only to discover a mistake on our reservation. We did pick up our key early before checkin as we were in town for a family reunion and did not expext to be back to our room until late. Grudgingly, the owner manager allowed us to have the key early if we promised not to go to the room first as cleaning staff […] was still working. I have to say that the front desk clerk was quite friendly, though. We arrived at our room around 11 pm. Of course, the room reeked of smoke. We opened the fridge to chill our water. It contained old pizza and a six pack of beer. The smell of the pizza almost overpowered the smell of the old smoke. I headed to ice machine to fill the bucket but that was out of order. When I called to complain, I was told I could clean out the fridge myself and leave the trash outside my door or wait an hour and a half for the maintenance staff that they would have to call in. I didn't want to open that door again. Needless to say, next trip we won't be staying here! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"It was just what we needed"
I was looking for an affordable place to stay with my kids and dog before I dropped off the kids for camp. Their pet-friendly room for us was fine. I could tell it had been recently updated. It opened to a main level which was convient for my dog. Communication by the staff about details was a bit lacking and the breakfast options were limited. (I have […] to eat gluten free and there was nothing I could eat.) but we had what we needed. It was fine. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great value for the rate. Roomy rooms. Stayed on third floor in the back by the pool, quiet, not a lot ot noise. Only complaint would be the parking as those in the front of the third floor took all the parking spots in the back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's almost 2 hrs from Yosemite Valley!"
Fair...the AC wasn't very good...kept turning off. It was nice to have a refrigerator and microwave, though. If you're visiting Yosemite, be aware that it's over an hour to the gate and another 30-45 minutes to YosemiteVillage where the waterfalls and lodges are!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Take the time to research"
The carpets were scary looking but mostly I was sorely disappointed that I wasn't able to connect my laptop to the internet although the hotel site said it was available. I called the front desk and received a perfunctory "there are connections, use the one that works for you!" Customer service would have contacted me later to see if I was connected. […] While continental breakfast was offered, earliest it was available was 7:30 and I needed to boogie out of there early. Needless to say I left very, very early and had to seek my meal elsewhere. nearest budget conscious for us to Yosemite: 70 miles. close to a few supermarkets and eateries. has a pool and 3rd floor overlooks valley. free pastries and coffee but we never partook. comfortable rooms. ask for one with a fridge if you are hiking yosemite. ice machine, flat screen, good a/c, quiet room. coffee in room. weak shower pressure, measly […] soaps, lumpy pillows. but overall, a good stay for the price point. "Good, reasonable price, clean pool."
We had a nice stay. It was inexpensive, so expectations were basic. They delivered on that, but breakfast was thin. The pancakes were good, but skip the rest and eat up by the pool, which was very clean. Small, but a nice setting and very well kept.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Quiet hotel at a great rate"
Very quiet and clean. Although the drive to Yosemite is just over one hour, the rate and convenience to evening dining was worth the commute.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our family stayed there for one night after Yosemite trip ( booked month in advance). Receptionist girl seemed annoyed rather than welcoming. Gave us vague description of our room location, had to return for better information. What annoyed me the most, was that the people that checked in right after us got 2 complimentary bottles of water from the […] big stack at the front desk. Not that I care about lousy bottle of water, but the fact that they don't treat their costumers equally. Maybe because we were one niters. Our room was next to the ice machine. Room was poorly cleaned, especially the carpet which was very dirty. The biggest surprise was their complimentary free breakfast. It was in a little space across from the reception. No tables or chairs. There was this "breakfast lady" that was rationing all the food which consisted of danishes, cereal and pancakes. She was making pancakes to order that were 2 inch wide and half raw. After you picked your items including coffee in very tiny cups, you're supposed to take them to your room on a little tray. We got there 30 minutes after breakfast began and there was no trays left, so we had to carry everything by hand to our room. After consuming few bites of raw pancakes that ended up in garbage, we decided to go for breakfast at local McDonalds. I'm not a fussy person but this was beyond unexpected. "Great affordable place"
The place was very easy to find, super clean and the staff was friendly with the exception of the two employees in the night shift. The two employees working the night shift were rude and disrespectful, mostly the lady. I asked them a question and they started talking in a foreign language before answering me just to argue with me about a 50 cents difference […] on a cookie bag. Anyway, if they attend you, you'll have a rude stay.. the rest of the staff was awesome! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Breakfast is limited"
There is no place to sit down for breakfast. Each person is restricted to one small piece of roll. The time of breakfast is short, too. The front lobby has a bad smell. On the map, it seems to be close to Yosemite National Park, but it is about 2 hours drive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Reviews about this hotel are pretty accurate. Hotel staff member at the front desk is pretty rude. WiFi is terrible. 1 ply toilet paper and the breakfast was almost funny. For the price its just ok. The Wifi not working was the biggest problem for us. We put the do not disturb sign on the door when we left for the day but the maid still went in and […] cleaned. Then later walked in on us because she forgot to leave towels. The second day she left the cleaning spray and dirty towel in our room. The toilet ran for at least 5 minutes after flushing. "Cool little place."
We stayed at this location because it was one of the only places available on the 4th of July weekend, for our trip to Yosemite. It is 1 hour 10 minutes away from the ENTEREANCE of the Yosemite Park. But after you pass the Yosemite entrance, it is still another 35 minutes to Yosemite Village,,,where all the tourist trails and falls are at. (So 1 hour […] 45 minutes from Yosemite Village). The Indian doode was cool. Talkative, informative...just a cool guy. Gave us a few tips on where to visit, and then let us use towels for the pool later that night, even after the pool was closed at 9:00PM. (He told us to just keep the noise down). It was 98* degrees that day! The rooms were a little run down. (One spot on the carpet had wear marks that showed all the way through to the fibers below, and the curtain would not close all the way. We used my wife's hair clip to fully close it). We were on the first floor, room 106. But the rooms were clean, no insect sightings (we did a THOROUGH bed bug search), and the sheets and towels were clean. There was a television, small fridge, microwave, ironing board with iron, and a coffee maker in the room. Overall we were pretty happy, and felt comfortable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Working Hard on Improving"
Country Inn is conveniently located on Hwy 108, just a short drive from Jamestown and Sonora and within easy driving distance to Columbia, Angel's Camp and Murphy's. Our room was on the third floor in the back by the pool and it was QUIET. The beds were comfortable, the linens and towels always fresh and clean. Due to the small staff, there are some […] minor maintenance issues that need to be addressed and would elevate the rating: remove the dust in the corners of the room, clean the shades over the lamps in the bathroom, provide a clothes hook in the bathroom (our room had holes where the hook used to be) and have an ironing board to go along with the provided iron. The carpets are a bit worn but relatively clean, probably replacement will be on a "as funds come available" list. While the hotel offers a simple continental breakfast, there is no place to eat it unless you want to haul it back to your room. The front desk was always helpful and courteous even when overwhelmed with July 4th travelers. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
