"Disappointing Stay At Jamestown, California"
At check in, they were nice but far from friendly. The room was nicely decorated, but there were cobwebs on the ceiling above the bathroom sink. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling and the bathroom tiles were chipping. Apparently, the maid must leave the entrance door open when cleaning the room, because the flies kept us awake for over an hour . Had to chase and kill them in order to get any sleep, But the very, very WORST problem was the horrific road noise from the adjoining road. It seems that practically all the rooms are impacted .And, their breakfast variety, setting and presentation would have to be rated VERY POOR.

"stay here every year"
The Country Inn is located close to the Sonora Fairgrounds where the Grand Council meeting of E Clampus Vitus is held every year. The rates are reasonable and the rooms are clean and quite. This year was no exception the staff was very friendly and the room quite, even with a bunch of bikers staying there. I will probably stay there next year.

"Caution about late fee charge and Bad smell inside"
The hotel charged me extra $30 for coming late. Before booking the reservation i had inquired if there is any issue coming late around 12:30 AM. Also, the room was smelling badly.

"From San Francisco to Jamestown"
Everything was fine and the pool was great for the kids although it is a little deep for really little kids. Nice big TV on the wall in the room. Book early and get a better rate. Would stay again.

"Not bad..."
This was literally the only room available for the weekend of the Calavares County Fair and I booked it over 2 weeks before. I was a little afraid of what I got myself into because of the negative reviews regarding the front desk but my experience with them was rather pleasant. The tub had a large chipped spot on it but since they had a non slip rubber mat, I covered it up and all was good. Otherwise it kind of sucked they dont have a vending machine but they do sell snacks in the lobby. Due the weekend we chose to stay there it cost us more than twice the amount than the average price and I dont think if I had a choice I would stay here again during a popular weekend due to the price hike.

"Cheap, but you get what you pay for"
Booked a ground floor room w/ hotels.com. Put us on the third floor, which the receptionist said is technically ground floor because the hotel is built up against a hill, you can access the third floor from the backside of the property without climbing stairs. But our room was on the front side. If you want to be able to see your car from your window, you must park on the front side & climb stairs back up. No elevator. She said next time request "lobby level". There's no reason she could not have given us a lobby level room, as the hotel had few guests that night. I felt this room was not as nice as in previous stays and wonder if you book online thru Hotels.com they give you one of their less desirable rooms with less comfortable beds. Also, charged me for a phone call, which was local & should be free. I probably made the mistake of dialing local area code because that is what we must do in my home city for all local calls. Would stay again because it was cheap, and near local family.

"Good room for the money"
Room was adequately clean not sparkling, beds were ok not super comfortable, location was great for what we wanted to do in the area. All in all worth the money. For the price it was okay, basic room with microwave and fridge, so not that bad.

"Good value"
Ths was our second night stay here. Beverly was very helpful in letting us check in early and correcting an error I made on the reservation. The room was in the front of the building next to a very busy main street. Traffic noise during the night. Otherwise, good value.

"Very nice"
The hotel was very nice. The young lady(did not get her name) who checked us in was very pleasant and professional. We got a room on the upper level which was away from the street noise, however, we were right next to the pool, which prove to be noisy with people talking and laughing late into the night. The breakfast was a beverage and small danish. That's it.

My reservation was for 3 guests prepaid. Upon arrival, clerk insisted on extra $10 charge. Earwig bugs in bathroom and tub. Uncomfortable bed mattresses and wood edges extend under mattresses. We hit our shins on them, bruised.

The lady in the office was exceptionally rude, and when I called for towels they said it would be an extra charge to the room. To be clear, there were no towels to begin with. The area was beautiful and the hotel was aesthetically okay.

"Nice hotel near a nice town"
We stayed 3 nights with our elderly parents and were quite pleased with the ground level entrance to the third floor. We would not look for another place next time.

"great hotel for the price."
I wish the check in was a lot earlier. If you are driving in and need a shower before an early dinner this is not the hotel for you. Even vegas, you can check in by 3.

We apoligise for the not so early check in, however we have a very clean hotel, and to ensure this, our housekeeping need adequate time to clean all rooms thoroughly and we try not to rush them in their work. check in is at 4 pm but if a room is ready we do try our best to accommodate a little earlier. thank you for staying with us, we greatly appreciate it.

"Irish Days Getaway"
We found our rooms spacious, bed very comfortable. Forgot my shampoo, and their wasn't any complimentery shampoo, or lotion. Would have liked a larger selection for breakfast. We had 3 rooms and there was 6 senior citizens traveling there for Irish Days in Murphys.All in all our stay at Country Inn was very good.

"Nice stay"
Hotel was nice and clean. Very nice and helpful staff. It is on a major highway, so, with our room being in the front, we did hear the traffic. We will definitely stay there again.

"Horrible"
Was very disapointed! You could draw with your finger in the dust on the night stand. Bed was very uncomfortable, breakfast consisted of two cereals (fruit loops and cheerios) and one style of danish, no fruit, no bagels, no eggs, nothing, didn't provide fat-free or reduced fat milk. Note in lobby told guests to take food back to room to eat as they do not have any seating room. Blow dryer in room didn't work, phone was static and you had to yell to be heard on it.

We got there way after midnight, probably 2 or 3am due to a horrible accident on 99. It wasn't our fault: we were in traffic jam for over 21/2 hours. The hotel rep did not seem to care. We did not sleep due to an early am appointment, but since we had a toddler with us it was important to get him out of his car seat and stretch hit legs and take a bath. There were no blankets and minimum bed coverings. Luckily the room heater worked well. We could not wait for "continental breakfast" not so much for ourselves but again for the baby. The breakfast consisted of a bin of non nutritious fruit loops, and a jug of milk set in a bucket of ice. We wanted coffee. We could not make it in the room because the coffee pot was filthy. The coffee at the "breakfast" was lightly colored brown water. That was the whole " breakfast". Pathetic!! The only good thing about the experience was that it was an option to get out of the vehicle and freshen up, and that was it.

"Bad everything"
Hi I got here about 4:00p.m no soap no microwave and was sick needed some hot water and needed to heat my soap. The worker told me use the coffe maker! Really. Breakfast ! There was no breakfast. Do not care anyway , they used to have better service do not know what happeened.

"Broken Shower, poor breakfast, nice staff"
The location and the stuff are great. However we paid a relatively high price due to the Thanksgiving holidays. The breakfast was poor. It was very cold outside and we wanted to take hot showers or bath for kids. Both were broken: bath draining blocker didn't work, so we weren't able to fill it, and a shower's facet couldn't turn to a hot water. What a disappointment, because it was too late at night to change the room, since the kids were already sleeping. We would love to return once these both issues be resolved.
