We thought that this place would be in/near Elk Grove but this was just in a bad part of Sacramento which we would never ever again stay in. Upon arrival there were some people being loud/yelling on the 2nd floor and we had thought that the police had arrived on the scene. The hotel was not located in Elk Grove for starters. The room I stayed in did not have a chair or closet bar to hang your clothes. What happened next is unbelieable while trying to get a much needed afternoon nap I was awakened by the sound of a power washer. For more than two hour the deafing sound went on. Great deal for a hotel that seemed newly built? The surrounding busy traffic and neighborhood seemed to be probably my biggest woes. I do love how clean the room and lobby area were. The rooms were very nice and clean. But the walls were paper thin. I could actually hear the man in the room next to us, peeing, eating his fast food, and him cough. With it being next to the freeway it was a great location, but naturally, really loud.

I think for the price that I paid, i could have gotten a bigger room. The room was nice but really small. It was really noisy outside with all the police and ambulance passing literally ever 4 hours. If you don't mind the small space and noise go for it. It wasn't a bad stay, but probably wouldn't stay there again.

We arrived and were told that the hookers are no longer allowed on the property. Quite a shocker! Workmen arrived and began really loud window replacement about 8am and it went on all day until 6pm. Came back to the hotel to find that the maids had left our room door ajar about 6 inches. Were then told by the desk clerk that they were sorry but that […] they thought we were in the room***while they were cleaning it?????? Highway noise was terrible, the area was hooker-ville. All in all the room was small but quite comfortable except that you smell the smoke in the pillows. Very upset that we were not told of the continuing work going on when we booked or when we checked it. We would have chosen a different hotel had we known. Plenty of fast food nearby but due to the area and the hookers not a good idea to go out after dark. All in all the hotel would be OK if they were not working on it. Booked a one bedroom room. for the price it was very clean and well kept, the front desk was very friendly and informative. overall the hotel and service did a fantastic job, however the mornings were a little loud since the hotel itself is situated right next to the street... but for the price, it wasn't that much of a nuissence.

Comfortable beds and I didn't expect to have the extras that came with room like the microwave and fridge. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean which is the most important thing to me. This hotel was the nicest hotel in the area.

Great for the price paid. If your planing to just have a place to sleep and take a shower, this hotel is great because is not that expensive. Towels are changed every day and is close to the highways. Traffic can be a little loud.

Was just traveling through and only stayed one night. Easy access to and from Hwy 99. Hotel is located on the corner of two busy streets so a little noisy but not too bad. Had a good night sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful with directions.

This is the second time I have stayed at Red Roof since it has been remodeled. When I entered the room I was both shocked and pleased at what they had done with the used to be Motel 6. The decor in the room and the thought which went into the layout was impeccable. My room was 25 feet from a major road. There is a stoplight at the corner in front of the hotel. Trucks with airbreaks stopped all night long to make matters worse.
