"Affordable clean hotel with bathroom and escalator"
Hotel in good location close to paddington station. The hotel is very clean however the rooms are tiny. It did not bother us since we stayed only 2 nights but i think for longer stay it could be a problem.

"Paying for every little item soap, towels etc."
The hotel was clean as could be. The disappointments came in realizing what kind of hotel TUNE is. It is an extreme minimulist hotel. While it is true that we had booked with Expedia and therefore some up grades we were very underwhelmed with the place. This place might suit well for some technocrat for a day or two it was not for us. The room was very small along with the bed. We had to keep our open luggage on the floor as there was no dresser etc. to place them on. There was not a closet but a small rack on the wall with only 4 hangers that we had to squeeze past to get around the bed. The window was 2 panes. The lower pane was heavily frosted and stationary while the upper was clear and able to open slightly if you were tall enough to reach the handle. I was my wife wasn't. There was no phone or folder in the room. Should an emergency arise we would have to go downs stairs to report it to the desk. Phones in the room seems logical as not everyone is from the UK and tied to their phone system. I later learned emergency instructions were on the back of the price list. The trash pail along with towels and cleaning is only done every third day. We are an couple in our 60's. PLEASE IDENTFY HOTELS LIKE THIS BEFORE BOOKING. If we had known what we were getting into we would have booked another place. We paid for 8 nights there & paying a fee for checking in 1.5 hours early angered us. Even with the Expedia up grades it did not come close to a real hotel.

"Nice, clean hotel, close to Paddington St"
Hotel room was nice, clean and new/newish looking, and staff was friendly and helpful. We were a little surprised to learn that there was a charge for leaving our suitcases with the hotel, considering that the checkout time is quite early:10 AM.

"Good hotel close to central London"
We stayed for four nights. The room was very small ant not very comfortable. It was clean enough, but cleaners didn't come every day. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't provide breakfast. There is internet, but the connection is poor. The best thing about the place is the location.

Small - only one 'side' to the bed so had to clamber over if you were 'inside' - pillows were a bit naff but apart from that no complaints. Excellent location - tip use their left luggage facility £2.50 rather than the £10 at paddington station!

"Never stayed at a hotel where........."
I've never stayed at a hotel that only cleans every. 3 days. Towels given are numbered, room was super tiny, no fridge , iron, etc. they also did not have extra blankets. For the price , you would think they would include a lil something extra. Oh & early check in was £15 , an equivalent to $25

"Ok for a 1 night stay"
This is the second Tune hotel I used in London and was not nearly as nice as the first (by Kings Cross). It does the trick for a quick stayover but the walls were thin and there were some unexpected costs such as paying to leave our bags for the day. I would not stay again, as there are many other equally priced hotels in the Paddington Station area.

Location is great - near Paddington Station with express to Heathrow. Marks and Spencer store and shopping and restaurants nearby. Hotel is very modern. Rooms small but very well laid out. We would go back.

"Basic but clean, modern convenient at a good price"
The accommodations were quite basic (as expected) but almost everything else was very good about the hotel. The room was clean and modern looking with the basics. It was small, but this was expected. The location was very convenient and I was able to easily walk to Paddington train station. Many hotels of a similar price range are dirty and old. he staff were super friendly and check in and check out was quick and easy.There was some low level Underground noise on my 1st floor room but this did not bother me very much.

"Compact but comfortable"
Was expecting to have to leave suitcases in the bathroom, from some of the descriptions I read, but actually there was more floor space than in the last B&B we stayed in...it was an efficient, clean, soothing space and I would stay there again...we walked the 3 blocks from Paddington pulling our suitcases, and it was not difficult.

How many times will you visit London in your lifetime? If you are like me and it's "precious few", then man up and pony up an extra 100 or 150 and get a better sleeping accommodation than this place for yourself and/or your traveling group. Trust me, it will be worth it. You should not imagine this place like a "Motel 6" of London. This place is more like "Motel 2" of London. For some of you, that might be good enough for your visiting purpose. That's fine. Then, feel free to book this place. As for the rest of you, this place does offer you a saving that is effectively few hundred dollars if you stay few days, like me, (as opposed to, say, some mid-to-upper-priced-hotel-that-is-sometimes-known-to-hand-out-free-cookie in Marble Arch, for example), but I spent few thousands to visit London for myself and a guest, and this hilariously tiny and not-so-funny-dirty place left a sour taste in my memory of this trip to London. (Side note: This place will give you clean towel and shampoo/soap for your first night, but they won't give you any more towel or shampoo/soap for free for any subsequent nights.) The city itself is lovely. I will visit London again in near future, but I will be pickier with hotel next time. (Additional notes: One of the main train stations that can take you directly to Heathrow and many other convenient spots is 500 yards of walk away from this place. There is another train station, that is a local station, that is about 300 yards of walk away from this place, as well as a bus station that is closer in the same walking direction. There is a small "CVS" kind of store that opens 24 hrs/day that is directly across from this place.)

"Convenient location."
Tiny room with no furniture or chairs except the bed and small night stands, but it was super clean, we'll staffed and convenient to tube, trains, grocery, pubs and restaurants. I would stay there again. Basic room cost, then you pay extra for ANY extras including hair dryer or cleaning.

I booked the hotel due to its location. I like the area around Paddington for its easy access to the rest of the city and for the cafes and restaurants in the area. The hotel was clean, new and the room was small as always in London, but with everything I needed.

"No frills, but very utilitarian."
We are touring cyclists with folding bikes. Tune's elevator, halls and rooms were very adequate for our space and security needs, even though the rooms are small. The bikes and trailers fit into the elevator (not all at once!), with no steps in between the street and our room. The room, although small, was perfectly laid out, so that we could actually build our bikes with our trailers in the room. Having the bikes in our room for security and flexibility was imprtant in London, where we often used the bikes during the day. Note that your room won't receive service more than every three days unless you pay extra. That includes the tiny, ridiculous english toilet!

Room was disappointing, very small but clean. My husband and I had to climb over each other to get out of bed during the night. no extra chair in room (no room), bathroom items (shampoo and conditioner) looked like the bottles had been used many times before (possible refilled). We booked through Expedia so many extras such as (towels, internet were included) but, this is not the case and Guest should know that if they book direct, many of these things are extra charges. and, if you are only staying for a couple of night your room is not attended to on a daily basis (extra fee). No ice, no phone, extra charge for an early check in, If you are early and need to check your bags till room is ready (yes you got it) extra charge. on the plus side, staff was friendly, room was clean when we arrived. If you are a business traveler and just need a quite place to lay your head for the night and comfort and space is not a concern then, it will work for you.

"Nice hotel. Location was good."
Very close to under ground train. You could feel the rumble of the under ground train. The hotel only supplies the rooms with towels. There are no wash cloths or hand towels. Internet was very slow. Could not connect some times. The staff was very helpful and they are working on the problem.

"Great place, close to everything."
Stayed April 11-17, 2014. Great little place. 24 hr. grocery store across the street. Two underground stations... one on the left, one on the right. Tons of restaurants all around. Good area and I felt quite safe. The rooms were clean and neat. Maid service every third day, which is all I needed (perfect). Staff were friendly, although, I thought they could have been more better with directions and knew more about "touristy" things. Wi-Fi worked on and off, as you would expect with most hotels. At times, it was at a turtle's pace, at other times, zooming! Overall, excellent stay and would definitely come again and refer to friends. Thanks Tune Hotel in Paddington!

"Make Sure to Book Through Hotel Site"
Amazing value for money (at least for London) when booked through hotel site like Hotels.com - they include all the things that would otherwise be add-ons, like TV, towels, toiletries, wifi, etc., for the same price (maybe a little more) as booking through the hotel site directly. Very clean and new. Close to Paddington and Edgeware Road tube, with a Tesco express and a Superdrug across the street. A few good places for breakfast nearby, too. Beds were very comfortable - I like it a little on the firmer side, but these weren't too firm at all. We were on the top floor, and although we could vaguely hear train noise, you had to be listening for it to hear it. For a similar price in Central London you'd likely end up at an independent, mom-and-pop-style hotel in a converted rowhouse, with the possibility of shared bathrooms, etc. Those places can be great, but this is definitely a safe bet.

"Very clever, compact room"
I'm impressed. Someone has figured out what a traveller actually needs, and this is what you get. No more, no less. What you get is new, in good condition, and is clever. It's a Toyota Prius of a hotel room. I'd be pleased to stay here again. I only give the place a 4, rather than a 5, because I only got what I needed, nothing more at all. Not an extra bit of floor space, which would have been nice, but one suspects would have been philosophically objectionable to the designers of this hotel. So, a 4, though I was well satisfied. It would have been a 5 if they'd found a way to give me only what I needed, but made it felt as though I'd gotten more than that. They might try some space giving illusions in their design of their future hotels as modern aircraft designers, who are also economizing on space are so good at these days. There was a good mattress and a good shower. I should almost give a 5, but that seems uneconomical.

"Sleep and go hotel"
This is beyond basic hotel. Single room is plain claustrophobic, especially a bathroom, and is only superficially clean. No wake up service, no phone in the room. Not all the rooms have lift access. Climate control in the room was ineffective: I was cold part of the night.

"Quality at an affordable price"
I'm impressed with the Tune Hotel in London! The location is great, near Paddington station with a bus stop right across the street. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were especially helpful! There is no phone in the room, but most people don't need one, and they don't clean the room every day, but about every third day. Again, that's no problem for me, and I was grateful for the price right in London. It seems all new, so everything worked well. I guess Tune Hotels are in some other countries too, and I would seek them out for future travels.

This hotel was perfect for us! It was clean, very nice and a great value. The room was small and felt slightly cramped, but we still enjoyed it.

"Professional and successful"
My wife and I were going to London for the first time, and were not so sure about which hotel to book. We relied on the ratings and reviews and based on our budget, chose Tune Hotel Paddington. We were worried it's not as good as advertised but it was great. The hotel is close to bus and Tube station. The staff are welcoming, understanding and fast. No one took our luggage to our room but we were ready for that as it's not a luxury hotel. However, the room was really clean and nice. We had a nice view to the street but the room was quiet all in all. We were both quite happy and will probably come back, maybe in another branch of this hotel just for experiencing other part London. They look and act quite professional that I think they would have the same good quality in all branches. The only improvement I can expect is to have a more stable wifi for the rooms that are far from the router. Sometimes we had difficulty with wifi connection in our room in 3rd floor.

"Great hotel, close to Tube"
Loved staying at this hotel… not a huge room, but excellent stay, especially for the price. Only a few blocks from the Paddington Tube station, which has several lines of departure to choose from. The staff was helpful and friendly when we had questions, and was able to answer every one. I would definitely stay here again, and I actually plan to do so sometime soon!

"Very convenient for a quick stay"
A new hotel in good physical shape. Staff very friendly and helpful, plenty of eating options close by. Very convenient to Paddington station, Heathrow Express, and two different Underground lines, really easy to catch a cab as well. Refreshing new philosophy of buying hotel services "a la carte", only paying for what you will use. There is a (very low) basic room rate, and then everything else is optional at extra cost. This includes towels, toiletries, TV, Internet service, and daily cleaning.

This is a typical ''Easyjet'' hotel . You pay for the towels , hairdryer, tv, internet, cleaning. The staff cleans the room once in 4 days.(this is unacceptable) The rooms are very small (not recommended for couples) If you are taller then 1.75 m , then your feet will come out of the bed. Don t reservate directly through there website , but only with a travel agent so you dont have to pay for the tv, hairdryer , wifi . If you want your room to be cleaned every day, then you have to pay extra every day

"Utility hotel that meets the need"
We have stayed here twice before. Everything is acceptable but they nickel and dime you at every turn. Want to check in early (I mean 1 hr) they charge you. Leave your bag after check out - they charge you. Through hotels.com the room, towels, bedding, shampoo is included. But go on your own each if thee is extra. But location is good. Rooms not big but adequate and bigger than other hotels.

The Tune was a pleasant place to stay for our week in London. It is very close to Paddington Station and we were able to hop on the tube easily to other areas. The immediate area around the hotel had a lot of nice restaurants and pubs. The hotel seemed safe and though you have to pay for some extra ammenities, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overall quality and location was good for the price. I would recommend it for others and I would return there myself.

"Stayed over a week"
The hotel has good proximity to both Edgeware Road and Paddington stations. The staff was small in numbers and you either had very helpful staff or disinterested staff. I found the rooms to be very clean and enough for what your daily needs would be. The comfort package is a must and the towels were oversized and well worth it. The pillows are paper thin and the mattresses are very uncomfortable. During my weekend stay, I found other guests to be very loud at all hours of the morning. The security is non existent, but is in a safe area of London. Overall, I found it to be convenient for where I needed to stay in London, but I think they need to work on their customer service, security and comfort features.

We offer to all of our guests second pillows and we understand not everybody can sleep with one pillow. Just ask at the reception at any time as our reception is opened 24 hours a day. There is still somebody who can help you. About the noise, we understand this can be annoying and it has absolutely no space in our hotel. We dont have any security as we are limited service hotel, we have cctv and close doors over night. In case it will happen again you can either call reception or just go to the front desk and report it and we will take some action. "Clean and Basic"
Tune hotels advertises as a 5 star bed at a 1 star price. I must admit the price was good, very good for the location but the bed was horrible! It was rock hard!! The room and hotel was clean and friendly very secure. It's extremely basic and booking through hotels.com we got the added extras that you have to pay for (towel, tv, room safe and hair dryer!) the underground runs right under the hotel so you hear and feel it until around 11pm and back at 6am. We were walking distance to Marble Arch and lots of restaurant choices and a Tesco express right across the street! Good location and good price. Would stay here again only for a place to crash at the end of a long day of sight seeing but not if I was spending any amount of time in the room.

"Very clean rooms."
I stayed at the other Tune hotel last time. The Tune rooms are renovated and clean. The strict rule of check-in at 3 pm is a concern. There were at least 30 people waiting at 3pm and it took 35 min. to gcheck-in. Some hotels are flexible and allow guests to check in at 1pm when rooms are ready.

"Good hotel close to Paddington Station"
Enjoyed our stay. Paddington Station within walking distance and straight up the road. Hotel room was nice and about the size of a large room on a cruise ship. We booked Expedia so the extras like tv, towels, and hair dryer were included in booking price. Staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and quite. Would stay here again.

"Small room, no amenities"
I guess I should have looked on this chains website. No closets or drawers for clothes. They only clean every 3 days unless you pay extra. The free breakfast that was advertised was an extra charge. As a matter of fact, EVERYTHING was an extra charge. From the Tv's to a hair dryer to anything else you might need to make a stay more comfortable. All in all, I wouldn't stay here again. There are hotels with similar rates with more amenities.

"Clean hotel close to downtown London for the money"
Hotel room was a twin which we were told is a bigger room! Worried about were luggage was to go, I was comforted to see that the beds stowed away under them! Great use of space! Beds were mostly comfy, room quiet! Keys are a swipe motion and u put ur key into the wall function to use the power ect.... Bathroom right but it worked. It was very clean. Tea in room would of been nice. But that is all that was missed. The central Tube line can be very confusing for a first time London vacationer. The two yellow lines can be difficult to determine. And changing is a pain... Lots of walking. It was easier to walk down to marble arch on Oxford ave.... Then take tube from edgeware or paddington station. Would use this hotel again but only book thru expedia or u will have to pay for tv, Internet, cleaning, ect....
