The location is perfect, right across the street from the Valporetto (the water bus). Eugenio, the concierge is the best I have experienced in any hotel in any country. He went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Coffee and tea any time of day, letting me use the hotel computer (several times), arranging a free motorboat ride to the glass works in Murano,marking a map with the number of the valporetto to take (including the times for when we had to leave early to get to the airport, and just being one of the nicest people I have ever met! The room was spacious and immaculate with three windows, one overlooking the Grand Canal. The bathroom was spotless and well lit, even had a towel warmer for the towels, the heating control was well appreciated since it snowed the day we arrived! With the Valporetto station just across the street it is easy to get anywhere in Venice. About 20 minutes from the bus station at Pont Roma on the 5.1 to the hotel. Or take the line 1 and cruise down the Grand Canal on the way to the hotel. I love Lido since one doesn't have to cross bridges or walk a long way to the hotel and there are many restaurant choices within a 2 block area.

Wir sind nicht informiert worden, dass man am Anreisetag in einem anderen Hotel einchecken muss und dass die Ortsangabe bei google maps nicht richtig war. Somit sind mein Freund und ich 2 Stunden im Ghetto Venedigs herumgeirrt, haben 3x bei angegebener Telefonnummer anrufen müssen, um dann endlich unser Ziel in einer engen, unscheinbaren Gasse zu finden, […] von wo uns dann der Rezeptionist zu unseren tatsächlichen Unterkunft weiterbegleitet hat. Angeblich hätte man diesen Ort nicht selbstständig finden können. Das Zimmer war halbwegs okay, das Bad eher nicht. Die Duschkabine wäre beinahe in sich zusammengebrochen. Die Zimmertür ließ sich nicht komplett öffnen, da der Boden wahrscheinlich unregelmäßig hoch war und der Tür die Öffnung erschwerte...Wir sind nach 2 Nächten wieder abgereist und wollten um 7.50 Uhr auschecken, ging aber nicht, da niemand anwesend war und auch keine Telefonnummer zu finden war. Also mussten wir erneut in das andere Hotel, um dort noch die Rechnung zu begleichen. Read more
