This hotel was in a perfect location right at a bus stop. The room was a bit small for American standards (no place to do yoga) but it was comfy. I stayed for a week and the staff was always cleaning the building. It was such a nice environment! The food was really good and the chef was always around.

Well managed hotel - very friendly and accommodating staff. Food choice was somewhat limited, but adequately compensated by a variety of options in the city which is about a couple of miles away.

Overall our stay was great, the room was comfortable and the staff very helpful, The only downsides for me - I wish the bar area food had not been quite so expensive (over 60 pounds for a burger, baked potato, childrens meal and 2 drinks) also when we checked in around 4pm we requested a cot for our daughter, we had to call back twice before it finally arrived around 7:30.

stayed for 1 night, room situated across the road from the pub, nice clean room only grumble is the heating, landlady told us to put heating on but didnt appear to be working. we mentioned this but landlady didnt offer to come and look. spent night huddled under duvet fully clothed!! oh and another grumble no hot water in the morning. on a good note […] - lovely breakfast. A nice little haven as a stop over before we got to Buxton for our main stay. Although our room wasn't ready on arrival at 4p.m. we felt relaxed straight away and enjoyed a nice drink in the friendly pub. We ate at the pub - The pate starter was a little on the small side but all the same very nice and the main of steak and kidney pudding more than […] made up for the small portion.
