A wonderful choice! HIGHLY recommended!
We had a wonderful time at Casa Gloria! All of the staff were so kind and amazing. Julieta at the desk was so helpful with all of our questions and needs. Marlene and Patricia were THE BEST chefs for breakfast. Always served us delicious food. They were so kind. Ever was so helpful as well, always getting the door and helping with our bags. We felt like we were at home during our entire stay at Casa Gloria. The room was always clean. And the air conditioning worked GREAT! There is a cute patio on the roof with a nice view. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't sell drinks, but there is a shop right across the street for any snack/beverage needs. The hotel itself is close to lots of places in the old city. We were never more than a 15 minute away. There are tons of great restaurants and shops nearby. We highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in Cartagena.

Boutique Casa Gloria
Wonderful and boutiquish Casa Gloria is located in the San Diego area of centro historico. At check-in, the outstanding manager at the front desk was so helpful and provided a free map of centro and give me great advice about restaurants and sights to visit. She spoke perfect English which was greatly appreciated. There is a small pool in the center courtyard and my room was on the second floor. There is also a hot tub on the third floor or roof of the building. My room and bathroom were very clean and there is air con, cable TV, and WiFi. Breakfast each morning included coffee, fruit juice, a plate of fruit, cook to order eggs, and bread. Overall, my experience was delightful and I would highly recommend lovely Casa Gloria for your visit to Cartagena.

Stayed héroe 2 nights great location and the room was confortable with good air conditioning. The only thing that we did'nt like about the room was that you could hear when we were on the toilet. Juliette The manager was very attentive helpful and informative she helped us book a one day trip to Gente de Mar resort one Of the Rosario Island If you can go I highly recommend it!

Wonderful little inn.
Lovely place and lovely staff. Quiet street in the San Diego neighborhood. Great arepas at corner restaurant and from street vendor on corner at night (locals line the block for these.) Appartment and Studio apartment are street side and you hear the rumble at night when the horse-drawn carriages pass by. I loved that, but others may not. Other rooms are very quiet.

Cozy and convenient
Let me start by saying that I had a great experience with Hotel Casa Gloria. I found the location convenient and staff friendly and helpful. I would categorize Casa Gloria in between a hotel and a hostel - a boutique hotel or a "Glorified" hostel! In case you were wondering, you won't find a typical, large brand name chain hotel experience here; instead, what you will find are cozy accommodations in a quieter part (San Diego) of the walled city. The walled city is very walkable, but for convenience, there's a supermarket (Exito) a block away as well as a few convenience stores and street food vendors (fruits, arepas) near by. The double room I had was a bit tight, having only about 2 feet around the bed. The room's closet and bathroom were similarly on the small side, so it's probably not a great option if you're claustrophobic or have a lot of baggage. As others have pointed out, hot water is hit-or-miss, but the warm water was sufficient for me since it was fairly hot. The wifi is also hit-or-miss, sometimes requiring the staff to reboot the equipment. I enjoyed the included breakfast, which included juice, coffee, fresh fruit, eggs (fried or scrambled with onions and tomato) and toast. Again, I thought the staff was all very friendly and helpful and I can't think of anything more I would have asked of them.
