Overall the service in the hotel is excellent. Special thanks to the receptionist and the waitresses in the restaurant during breakfast. They made our day start with a big smile. They went out of their way to make our 1.5 year old feel at home. Breakfast is delicious with a wide variety (both Chinese and Western) of food.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for business or short trips."
Although the hotel is a little out of the way it is a great hotel for anyone traveling to the HK exam centre. Free wifi meant I could study all night. The room service was ok (the picture always looks better), the porters where excellent always had me a taxi and knew exactly where to tell the driver. If your there for a quick stay and not much shopping […] I would recommend it to all students. (But it also ideal for other travelling as well). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very thin walls"
Hotel is new with nice amenities. However, the walls are very thin! We heard our neighbors arguing loudly at 11 pm at night, walking in their slippers on the hardwood floor, and even blowing their nose in the morning! The bed was also more firm than we would have liked. The walk to the subway was further than anticipated. Free drinks and snacks by the […] gym were a nice surprise. Very satisfactory as a layover. A bit far from central part but that was not relevant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good price but far away from Hong Kong Island"
The hotel is brand new with very good facilities, comfortable and clean room. Three bloks away from a MTR station and also close to a mall. It has free suttle to train station to go to the airport. However if you want to visit or your business are in Hong Kong Island you have to travel at least 45 minutes by MTR.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I would give it a five star."
Our stay although short, was great and the hotel is very convenient and is about ten minutes away from a very big shopping mall. The mall had a large supermarket which helped with shopping for food.Genuine Expedia guest review
Out of the way location; but across the street from the MTR station; allowed me to go anywhere....quickly. I enjoyed my stay and will plan to returnGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"My second stay, stil excellent"
Stayed in August, the hotel is beautiful clean and QUIET. It's in an industrial section (totally dead at night, good for sleeping) and near the MTR from which you can get anywhere. Two huge malls nearby, McDonald's for breakfast, two convenience stores. Very convenient and good value for the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for an overnight stay."
The hotel is in great shape and the service is also quite good. The location is removed from the main areas in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon but I knew that going in. The pool is filled but you can not use it. The views are not bad and the overall condition of the hotel is quite good. The only complaint I have is with the elevators. There are not enough […] of them and there is a bit of a wait. The other minor complaint is the breakfast buffet. Reasonable price but the selection is not as good as say the Eaton hotel. Best way to get to the hotel from the airport is probably to take the A22 bus. Then take a taxi when you are nearby. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic value for Hong Kong!"
Beautiful Hotel in a tough location. Brand new (pool still not open) and still working out some kinks but the staff were fabulous, the quality of the food and accommodation were outstanding. They do run a shuttle to Kowloon Station which no one told me about until I got there - it is a lovely boutique hotel. Definitely stay there again for business […] not particularly suitable for non Chinese tourists. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This place is brand new so there's nothing bad I have to say about the hotel itself. You get an iPad for internet access and ordering food, etc. There are complimentary restocked drinks in the mini bar. The bathroom even has one of those windows that goes from transparent to opaque. I really liked it. There is a gym that has a Wing Chun dummy and a […] pool on the roof with a view of the bay. Note: if you want to save a buck take the A22 bus from the airport to the Ngao Tao Kok stop and cross the street. It's a nice scenic ride. Afterwards I learned there is a complimentary shuttle that can take you to the Airport Express stop and Kowloon station. I imagine they will pick you up also but I wasn't able to contact them before I went. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was extremely nice and the staff was helpful and always curtious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good business hotel"
The "only" downside to this hotel is its location. Everything else is very good. The property is new, everything works, the staff are really fabulous (particularly Zero in the bar/restaurant, and the man who welcomes everyone into the restaurant for breakfast by name - how he remembers everyone's name I do not know - it's a very impressive skill). Check […] in, gym, and pool are on the 35th floor which has a fabulous view, The rooms are below that - ours was on the 25th. We had a "glimpse" of the harbor. Most rooms don't even have that, I gather. The amenities in the room are very much the latest and greatest, to the point where sometimes it's difficult to know how to watch a particular TV channel or turn on or off a light ! The menu in the restaurant is handed to you on an ipad. gotta love that. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Staff training is needed"
Staff are unexperienced... They have done few big mistakes that caused big troubles for me... For the god sake train them... Location is bad and taxi drivers mustly can not find the hotel ... Had difficulties in this regard...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room, lots of comforts"
The room was great: comfortable, modern and clean; it even had an Ipad. Plus the staff takes care of anything you need: adaptor for my laptop and free shuttles to key places. The view from the top floor is great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"New hotel close to MTR"
This is a brand-new hotel in Kwun Tung, an industrial warehouse area of Hong Kong. In fact, the street name "Chong Yip" basically means warehouse industry street. While the neighborhood is not posh, it is not dangerous and the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the MTR. There are also two convenience stores and a McDonald's nearby. Very few Westerners were […] staying- mainly mainland Chinese. If you will be put off by the neighborhood (super quiet at night, great night's sleep) or freaked out by the lack of Westerners, stay on Hong Kong Island or Tsim Sha Tsui. But if you want to save a bundle and stay in a seriously nice hotel, come on over. Besides, you will see more "real" Hong Kongers than if you stay in the tourist areas. It is an awesome experience, I love the iPAD in the Hotel and definitely more channel on TV so I get to enjoy both. All hotel reps are friendly and nice. I will go back to this hotel again next year, the only down fall is the location of it. It is away from everything else in Hongkong.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely Hotel in the middle of the business distric"
It was one of the best hotels I have stayed in a long while now. The staff is very courteous. Only suggestion is to have the check out on the ground floor - easy to move out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for business and close to Metro"
Have stayed here before, nice hotel, close to where I do business easy access to metro as well. Very nice hotel and reasonably priced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stayed for only 2 nights"
I stayed there for only 2 nights. The hotel overall is OK. Decor & furniture appeared to be prematurely worn out for its age. Hotel is located in an industrial area. So not much shopping/restaurants or nightlife nearby. Hotel will charge you a deposit upon check in. Overall it's a good hotel for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff were amazing at all times, room was comfortable and very clean. Location is ok, and easy to get to but it's quite a way from admiralty or kowloon - which could be good or bad! The hotel also lacks a bar, and the restaurant was very expensive by local standards (food looked good though).Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Only complain is the swimming pool is practically too small to use, and the in-room iPad is still the iPod type plug.Genuine Expedia guest review

"11 days at L Hotel Elan"
Hotel location is not ideal but considering the pricing, this is acceptable. There is no convenient shopping facility nearby but there is a good shopping centre (The APM) that is only one MTR train stop away. Hotel room is clean and tidy; conditions of fixtures and fittings are very good. The one big problem is the very poor internet connection speed […] and quality. The wifi speed barely gets up to 1 mb/s - this is almost as bad as the days of the modem! When I complained, I was told to try the wire connection and I was given a network cable but that did not improve the speed. The speed was a little faster in the morning but I did most of my work at night to match the time difference from my home in London and the slow internet connection made this an absolutely agony. So if your journey is business related, do not use this hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very very nice hotel, staff were helpful and polite. My partner and i loved our room and service with our mini fridge replenished everyday. "Nice hotel; not best location for all travellers."
Pretty new hotel; comfortable and clean. Facilities not the greatest; those looking for a pool would be disappointed (very small pool, right in-front of reception on 35 flr), and gym is smallish and very open area next to reception (again). Location is a little far-out from the city (30mins out to Kowloon by MTR), so not the best location for those […] on holidays. Not much in the area after hours, since it's mainly industrial with some commercial. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Modern & Cosy!"
Although located some 20mins away from the city by MTR, it's only around the corner from Ngau Tau Kok station in the industrial part of Hong Kong yet very peaceful and safe. The hotel is very modern and the idea of welcoming guests on the top floor of the hotel overlooking Kowloon Bay is a nice touch. Staffs are very friendly and super helpful. "Among the best you can get in Hong Kong"
The room was huge, I think the high ceilings helped with the feeling of it being extra spacious. Check in reception, swimming pool and gym at the top floor (35th) with AMAZING […] views of Victoria Harbour. "Convenient location close to the MTR station"
The skyline pool looks great especially for kids ( though I did not use it). Room is clean but small. The restaurant at 2/F is very expensive, I had my dinner there first day since I was tired and did not spend time to walk around the place. Actually you can easily find "Cui Hua" restaurant near the hotel, about couple of minutes walk. Make sure package […] everything when you leave. We lost a watch in the room. After realized that couple of hours after check out, I return to the hotel and inquire about it, unfortunately no positive result. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Needs attention to detail"
The breakfast was highly underwhelming particularly, the scrambled eggs looked like a jug of water was added after the eggs were made, really horrid looking. The reception area located on the 35th floor does not work. The queues are always long and made checking-in and out, a hassle. However, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. "Spacious and nice room"
It's a nice hotel though the location is a little secluded. Room is much bigger than many 3-4 stars hotel in the city area. Clean and nice shower. It's located within the industrial area but iff you know the way you can actually walk to the mrt station within 6-8mins. Food choices around the area are limited. "Very nice hotel - located away from central areas"
Rooms are very clean, modern and bright. Staff helpful with directions/taxis/other requests. iPad in each room and free, fast wifi is useful. Only downside is the location - it is a 20 minute Metro ride to the main tourist attractions and central areas of Hong Kong.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed 6 nights end of Mar 2014. Majority of staff friendly and helpful. Rates without breakfast expensive for it's location in industrial area. 15 minutes walk to MTR station. Inconvenient reception on 35th floor. No newspaper. Ample robe hooks in bathroom a welcome thought.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great stay at this stylish and modern hotel."
The hotel is in Kwun Tong and close to Ngau Tau Kok MTR station. Check-in was very quick and done via the concierge on the 35th floor with a great view of city. Staff were very helpful too. There was a small mix-up with my room but it was resolved immediately. I was a bit taken aback by the room deposit which hadn't been mentioned when I booked. It […] was fairly sizeable but as I didn't break anything during my stay, it is fully refunded. Going into my room, I was surprised how big it was. There was a large bed, with some enormous pillows. There was an iPad provided in the room which had an app installed for customising my stay. I could order room-service, drinks, check out the pillow selection and check my room bill all through the app - very intuitive and modern thinking. The room came with a complimentary mini-bar which would be restocked daily, a nice touch! The snacks were not complimentary however. There was Wi-Fi included which I found to be pretty quick and worked solidly. The bathroom was also really nicely designed with a cool trough-like sink and a very relaxing undulating power shower over the bath. I slept soundly every night during my stay and would highly recommend trying out this hotel if you don't mind being a little away from the centre. I believe Kwun Tong is an area currently being developed, so given time you might find there'll be more to do in the local area. In the meantime, thank you staff at L'Hotel Elan for a really pleasant stay! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hidden Gem! Highly Recommended!"
Stayed 2 nights over the weekend at L'Hotel Elan. More than impressed. Reception on 35th floor was chic and minimalistic. Check-in was swift and efficient. Staff spoke and understood English. Was upgraded to 30th floor. Nice gesture though it hardly enhances any view, since the hotel is smack in an industrial area of light industries. Location isn't […] uber-bad. It's quiet for sure; nothing much around and empty streets after 10 pm or earlier. But it's a short walk to the Ngau Tau Kok MTR, which connects you to Mongkok in about 20 mins. Easiest way from the airport is bus A22' costs HK$39, gives you a nice ride over the Tsing Ma suspension bridge, and drops you off at the MTR (Stop No 20). There's a Tsui Wah at the corner on your way to MTR for fans of char chan teng. No Central-esque queues, and the bolo bun at HK$5 is a steal and a stomach warmer in cool weather! The MTR itself has a convenience store, Maxim's pastries; and take- out sushi. The room was spacious with great pillows. The rain shower is great; there's free wifi; and 6 drinks in the mini-bar that comes free, replenished every day. What's there to not like about this place! The concierge is friendly and helpful. My only peeve is the hotel takes a HK$1,000 deposit at check-in , and refund only happens 2 weeks later. Really puzzling! Other than this, I'll strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend under HK$1,000 a night for a room in expensive Hong Kong! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great hotel, staff couldnt do enough to help. Couldnt understand what all the bad reviews were about. Also definitely recommend the restaurant, menu is great!Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed there 6 nights. Hotel is quite new but located in a industrial/commercial area. However only about 5 mins walk to MTR. Hotel has shuttle bus to Mongkok and Koolong Station but it takes aged to get there because the bus has to stop at Mongkok for a long time. Hotel should improve in this shuttle bus time table.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff members are very initiative to provide their great assistance, especially when they offered to call a cab for us at 5 plus am when we thought it would be tough to street hire. But I hope their swimming pool should be re-opened back to public asap.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Amazing hotel and the room was fantastic. Reception was at the 35th floor with amazing view, gym and pool. The bed and pillows were comfy, the room was clean and huge, free drinks from the minibar and a couple of free cookies too. Shower room was huge with a giant mirror and had a normal shower head and a rain shower system. Wifi had high signal and […] was fast even during peak nighttime hours. Less than 5 mins walk from ngau tau kok mtr and they have a shuttle bus to Mongkok too if you are feeling lazy. If you are taking the mtr with luggage, use Exit A, walk up the huge covered overhead bridge, continue straight through the building till u reach the stairs, climb down, turn right and walk straight to the hotel.
