When we came back at 8pm, room was still not kept and only managed to get the housekeeping to clean up the room at nearly 9pm. My family waited 2.5 hours for our room on a Thursday. Too long a wait for a weekday! Room was new and clean. I registered the room for 2 adults and 1 child. There is 2 towels in the room. I called house keeping and was told that 4 persons also get 2 towels. I was upset to hear this from a 5-star. In the end they did send 1 more towel.

Hotel location is good and you can shop, eat and watch movies all within the same building. My only complaint is the check-in which is super long and super chaotic. We arrived at 12 pm but were told to come back and check in at 2 pm. When 2 pm came, we join the check in Q and got a room reservation slip from the check in counter. Then we were told to […] join the Q at counter 8 to get a room number, which we did. Counter 8 gave us a room number but no room key as the room was not ready. We waited and after harassing the counter 8 staff repeatedly, we finally got our key at 3.30 pm. However we were told not to go to our room yet as it is still being cleaned. This Q at counter 8 is long and so are the faces of those in it. Temper flared and I empathised with those in the Q and the staff manning the counter who tried to explained how the computer system work. Obviously the system is not working and must be changed. It will be good if you have a Malaysian Touch and Go card, so that you can enter the basement car park, then exit at the other end to go to Level 3-6 car parks (I could not find the direct way to go to Level 3 car park). I checked in at around 1500hrs. No queue, the process was pretty fast and hassle free. The hotel staffs served my family some drinks while waiting for me to settle the check in procedure. The wait to check-in was unusually long. It took around 40-50 minutes before our turn. There were only 5 other guests before us. The room was smaller than expected. KSL is a very busy hotel. So be prepared to wait for almost anything. The check in is 2 PM. So come earlier if you want to avoid a long wait. I've booked 3 superior rooms for a night stay with family. We check-in very late at around 7pm and we're fifth in the queue but waiting time was short, only abt 15mins. As all non-smoking room were taken hence our rooms are at a smoking floor and the but galdly there's no smell in the rooms. The taxis outside know better than any of the hotel staff. The worst was the check out. Their printer was broken and couldn't print any receipt. Since its lunch time, I just told her I can check out now and just get the receipt later since I've been lining up for more than 30 mins. Then she just disappeared and when to the other counter. Then she came back and told us to go to the check in counter side since they can print the receipt. I asked if do I still need to line up. And she said no. It out turned I still need to line up for another 30 mins. And when it was my turn for check out, the staff said sorry sir,this is for check in only. I was so angry and frustrated and pressed for time and told them why do u always have to forward me to different counters and don't know anything? (Just like yesterday). Booked 5 rooms at KSL from 11Nov to 12Nov and looked forward to checking in with family and friends on Sunday afternoon for an enjoyable weekend break. But experience wasn't pleasant. And due to this delay, our plans to Legoland was totally being upset and we only managed to reach there around 5pm. Then after a long day out, we went back to the room to find out that our room air-conditioning was unable to be set to the temperature we desire. Same for all rooms that I booked. Maintenance was unable to do anything and my dad had to sleep in perspiration as his room temperature was fixed at 27 degrees Celsius!! No one could answer me why the temperature could not be set.
