You would never know that this wonderful hotel is situated near the lagoon in Condado. We were unimpressed with the condo we rented for the week and wanted to spoil ourselves for the night somewhere special. This was the perfect spot. Very nice hotel in a central location. Had an amazingly hip rooftop lounge. 5 minute walk to the beach where one of the hotels will rent you a chair and umbrella (we paid $20 for 2 chairs). The staff was super friendly and awesome with our daughter. Even brought us breakfast in bed on the first morning after we slept in late. While this is a boutique hotel and one expects it to be pricey, one also expects it to be better than ordinary. The staff was very nice, but slow and and restaurant was delightful. My room was nice but very small and overlooked a wall...not exactly what I expected. Also very difficult to find, No parking.

The hotel itself is beautiful and I was blown away by the rooftop bar/lounge area and pool. The room was very nice looking and comfortable, but the bathroom was literally right next to the pillows on the bed and did not have a door. I'm all for the open-concept, modern look, but at least give me a door or a curtain on the bathroom. The last thing anyone […] wants to do is eat a bunch of new food while traveling and then have to go to the bathroom right beside the other person who is lying in bed. The hotel bar is open for membership so there were a lot of non hotel guests there and the entrance to the bar was very close to our room. Needless to say, it was very loud and difficult to sleep. The second night of our stay the fire alarm in the next building over was going off all night long. We didn't sleep well during our entire stay at Olive because of the noise factor. The free breakfast was nice, especially for the price of the hotel, but there weren't many options. We had to request coffee from the front desk. The 2nd day nobody was at the front desk, so we didn't get any coffee. The rooms were very clean. The location of the hotel is good and we actually walked to Old San Juan from there. Don't get me wrong, this is a LONG walk, like 3.5 miles each way. Overall, the hotel was really pretty, but there were a few details that just didn't make it a great experience. Read more

This is a lovely small hotel - excellent location, superlative staff, gorgeous roof deck. Rooms are small with little closet/storage space but more than adequate for a few days' stay. Very clean, furnished with great attention to detail, Highly recommend.

This hotel is spectacular. I stay there for 4 days for a conference and they made me feel like I was royalty. The new roof terrace/bar is breathtaking. The decor of the hotel is exquisite. The staff is outstanding and the food in the flawless. There were a number of my friends staying at various hotels in the area for the same conference and everyone […] loved my hotel so much that we spent most of our time here, including my friend staying at La Concha which is supposed to be the best hotel in San Juan. She ate her meals at the Olive and we joined me every even on the roof deck to enjoy the views, the charm, and the elegance of this very special place. Even friend who lived in San Juan were amazed by the fact that this hotel was so secluded, yet so upscale. There is no place else to stay in San Juan. The hotel looks lovely and the staff really tried to make up for the fact that they are still in construction. Upon arrival they could not find my reservation. Once it had been found I was escorted to my room which was very pretty. After settling in I decided to freshen up and discovered I had no running water. I was moved to another room. The next […] morning I was awakened at 7am by the crane outside my window and drilling. I was then called by reception to let me know the hotel would be losing power for about 30 minutes. At this point I decided to leave, I'd been understanding but the bottom line is I was there to relax and it hadn't been so far. It is a beautiful space with a lot of thought put into it and I see what they are trying to do with the vibe. If reserving I'd confirm construction is done. Premises and cleanliness were superb. The hotel is exquisitely decorated and attention to detail is observed in every corner of this piece of heaven. Melissa, the receptionist, was nice but did not give me the impression of being genuine. When checking in I asked for a bucket of ice and it was never brought to the room. Several minutes later I called […] the lobby area and could not communicate. When I went downstairs the receptionist had the line busy and was engaged in a personal telephone conversation (this is why my call was not going through). I then asked again for a bucket of ice and it was finally brought to my room 20 minutes later!!!! I had told Melissa that my boyfriend was checking in later on and gave her his name. Melissa advised me that a new receptionist was going to be assisting us in the night shift and she would let her know that my boyfriend was checking in later on. When he arrived to the hotel was treated like a total stranger and the new receptionist (Niurka) did not know who he was. She spend over five minutes looking for his name on the computer system. As a business traveler, this hotel did not meet my needs. There are no clothes closets, no desk to work from and the room was tiny. It was lovely for a romantic weekend getaway (if you don't mind living out of your suitcase) but terrible for a business traveler or longer stay.

Excelente trato de personal, valet parking y muy acogedor en general; es una escapada a un pedazo de España, Francia o Italia. sería mejor tener mas personal para el desayuno u abrir restaurant para el deleite de un desayuno caliente. En general fue una estadía inolvidable! vive O: live!
