"38th Wedding Anniversary"
Beautiful -we'll be back! Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast wait staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was Great except for the shower. We couldn't get the water to "cool down". My boyfriend got nearly scalded while showering. When I mentioned the situation at check out, they merely said they would have maintenance "check it out". Don't get me wrong, we have stayed here before and will be back! We absolutely adore this country inn! Absolutely […] beautiful location and very accomodating staff! I'm sure it was just an isolated incident and we really should have said something when the incident occurred instead of waiting for check out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely Romantic Getaway!"
This was an anniversary getaway and we loved the staff, the service and the Tarragon restaurant! We really thought it was the perfect destination to help us relax and celebrate our first anniversary. The trails surrounding the property were gorgeous and we loved visiting with the goats. We would highly recommend the Inn at Honey Run to anyone. It's […] a true hidden gem. "Nestled in a natural setting"
We enjoyed our stay in a comfortable room. Staff were friendly and efficient. Hiking trails on the property were very nice. Food and wine were excellent but pricey.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"not as environmental as advertised"
too expensive. awesome location but way way too expensive. the staff except for one seemed condescending. I really expected more enviromental awareness from them. ex. incandescent lights, no composting, soap and shampoo not environmentally friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel if you are seeking rest and quite"
Hotel is in a very secluded area. Rooms are lovely. We stayed in the lodge and intend to return, but would seek a honeycomb room that offers fireplaces and patios. There is no workout room or pool, but there are several trails in which to hike. We were disappointed that the fireplaces were not working and there was no one to resolve the issue. Many […] of the staff were new and could not answer many of our questions, which was frustrating. It is a great place to stay for rest and relaxation but is limited in its amenities. Enjoyed the Inn located right in the woods with walking trails. It was raining the one evening we stayed, and would have liked the fireplaces to be operrating. The signature king bed room at the Inn was very comfortable although we were at the lower level with no view. Amenities were appreciated, like the hot cider, etc. and the staff were very friendly […] and helpful. It was impressive and very clean. We ate at the Tarragon and it was superb but expensive. The included breakfast was very good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Serene and relaxing getaway"
09/20/14 MightySlacker Massillon, Ohio
I picked this location as a birthday retreat for my girlfriend and was not disappointed. WE booked the serenity suite and it was ENORMOUS, and all the amenities were top notch. We were able to check out a tablet and even some binoculars to use during our stay. There was a huge deck attached to the room, and the multiple bird feeders attracted all sorts of wildlife - in the span of half an hour we saw about 10 varities of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs and even a wild turkey strolled on by!! It was the most relaxing and stress free weekend we've had in quite some time. If I was nitpicking some negatives, a few of the trails were closed, and the trial below the resort actually directs you to walk back along the main road (that doesn't have a shoulder or path), we weren't a fan of that. The spa was closed, and our deck view included some construction across the way, as well as other rooms so it wasn't as private as we'd like. Definitely will return and try a honeycomb room though!
"Beautiful gem in the heart of Amish Country"

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for an over night getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The Inn is beautiful and surrounded by beautiful woods. Our room was lovely. We enjoyed the bird house right out side our window. Very clean accommodations. Will definitely return for a longer stay.

My husband and I went to the Inn and it was just like the pictures on the website, but I think some of the staff was not use to being around minorities the one lady at the desk I tried to hold a conversation with her but she was very cold and unfriendly. So that ruined my few days and wanted to leave so my husband and I decided to go find a mall and stay away from the inn as long as possible. The restaurant in the hotel was very limited and very exspensive. We decided to go in town and came across a sports pub called bags, this was the highlight of the trip the food was excellent the owner and staff was very nice, great place to hangout. We wish we would've gone to Donna's chalet instead. Lesson learn.
"Sweet Hideaway in Ohio's Rolling Hills"
The Inn at Honey Run provides a comfortable respite for those seeking to get away in the beautiful countryside of Holmes County Ohio, home to the largest community of Amish in the country. If you're hoping to tour and appreciate the simple life of this group of people or sample the foods and crafts they produce, this is a great jumping off point. Or if you want to just hide away to watch birds, hike easy trails, and soak in nature, this is a great place to stop. What's missing is the yet-to-be-reopened spa that would perfect the experience of relaxation. Also, the Inn's restaurant is striving to produce a menu that may be challenging for the chefs on staff - not quite up to its promise yet. Otherwise - definitely a place we will return to again, as it's got the potential to be great!

We stayed here 2 nights for our 41st anniversary. The king room was very spacious and we liked that there was a sitting area to watch TV. We had breakfast in our room the first day and it was delicious with a nice variety. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
"Can't stop thinking of this place!!!"

We have stayed here twice for 2 special occasions, the 1st time in the "earth-shelter rooms" or "club level honeycombs," the 2nd time in the Inn, of which we loved both, but our absolute favorite was the earth-shelter room. OMG what a different unique experience w/the earth-shelter rooms built into a beautiful hillside w/gorgeous views and private-like stone patio and awesome room very close to the wonderful walking trails and little hidden water area! Both times we had such privacy I am almost afraid to speak of it, but it is such a great place I must give them kudos!! If you love greenery, serenity, beauty, quiet and tranquility, this is the place for you! They even have an award-winning restaurant on site as well (no alcoholic beverages served on Sundays here).
"Probably best Inn for the area, but could be better..."

We stayed here for a 20th Anniversary get away for one night in the honeycomb suite. The room and grounds were very pleasant and impeccably maintained with great walking trails on rolling hills. The resident sheep added a pleasant and interesting touch. There were nice amenities such as fancy soaps and great wifi. It is appealing that the Inn provides an eating option that is not traditional Amish food. I would have rated it 5 stars if we had never left the honeycomb. My problem with this place is that there is a disconcerting paradox between the striking natural beauty of the place and the stuffy , pretentious environment of the main Inn and restaurant. This is the type of place that is crying for some eco-friendly, hip and down-to-earth vibes, and a farm-to-table type restaurant. Instead the lobby and dining room are dark, with employees who have an unnaturally stuffy demeanor. There was also , randomly, music blaring in almost empty dining room for both meals we ate there, which was weird. I kind of felt that I had aged a couple of decades being at TIAHR. It would be great if the environment could be made a little more hip for the under 60 set.
"Ideal place for an annual getaway"
08/14/14 John H
29 years ago, my wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at The Inn at Honey Run. Every year since we have spent our anniversary at our special place. Our plan is to visit each and every room in the inn throughout the course of our marriage. We "finished" the Honeycombs last year and have returned to the main inn. Over the years, we have seen many changes at The Inn at Honey Run, but one thing that has remained true over the past three decades is their commitment to the guests through excellent customer service from the front desk, immaculate rooms, and through the constant attention to details with regards to the building and the surrounding woods. This is the perfect place for a couple to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the real world and to enjoy each other's company. If you are planning to visit the surrounding Amish community, make note that those tourist areas (including restaurants) are closed on Sunday.
"Tranquil retreat in beautiful setting"
08/13/14 SarahN48824 East Lansing, Michigan
This really is a very serene place – extremely quiet, relaxing, nice walking trails running through the property’s fields and woods, beautiful countryside. Front desk staff were friendly though didn’t seem to know much about the local area (good tours, trails, etc.). Restaurant was a pleasant surprise, if a little pricey. Some rooms/rates include continental breakfast and wine/appetisers - both were generous in size and good. Mostly couples, definitely not for families with children; I was traveling alone but felt completely comfortable. I would return to try one of the honeycomb rooms.
"Great Getaway! !"

What a wonderful getaway nestled in the woods. The rooms are large and comfortable with picture windows for maximum enjoyment. The windows open so you can hear the birds and streams. You can hike, sit in the woods and listen to the birds, play games, watch movies, enjoy fine food and even feed sheep. The sparkling wine package is perfect for a romantic happy hour. They also offer bikes and night - vision goggles to help you explore. Nearby Berlin and Charm offer fun flea market and antique shopping. Amish furniture and crafts round out the fun. For adults only!
