Columba is good value, you could find some faults but they are minor. In all it's good value for money and in a great, picturesque spot near town, on the river side.

Our stay at Rocpool Reserve Hotel & Chez Roux Restaurant was incredible. Service was impeccable and the food was some of the best we've ever eaten. Our only complaint was that the TV did not work, we mentioned it to the staff but it was never fixed. We were only there for one night and so didn't plan on spending much time watching television, so really it was a non-issue for us, but I was surprised the request was not resolved, and had we booked a longer stay, might have been a more serious inconvenience. Other than that, hotel was gorgeous and we'd stay again in a heartbeat. Gorgeous view from the balcony and a private hot tub, plus gourmet food - what more could you ask for!

If you are looking for traditional Scotland in a lovely village, this is the place for you.. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Wonderful staff, dinning and pub….. the rooms are well kept and have charm..

The guy welcoming us was not welcoming at all. We emailed him in advance to tell him that we would need late check-in service, he refused to accept it. We tried our best but ran late anyway and he almost did not let us in. Then he told us that the only restaurants open would be takeaways and that we had to hurry or they would shut. We put our luggage […] down and rushed to the nearest one. When we went back to the guest house, he did not want to let us in again because the hotel guidelines state that we could not bring takeaway into our rooms. Why send us to a takeaway then and why not tell us that if we do go to one, we could not bring the food inside? The shower also stopped working while we were standing there with soap all over us!!! He said if the water touches the electric shower apparatus, the fuse blows and the water stops! How? In a shower?! Of course there will be water all over!!! Read more
