The Churchill Hotel is nice, but the new addition, where our room was, is too modern. We thought it would be more old-fashioned, because it's an old manor house. But the old part is limited to 8 luxury rooms that are probably lovely, but are above our price range.

Very nice hotel. Nice mix of old and new. Wish they had free Internet, though. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

Very comfortable hotel, attractive rooms and public spaces, fairly friendly staff and quite conveniently located. When I stayed there in January 2013, the internet connection and outbound phone were down, over 5 days. This was an inconvenience. To the hotel staff credit, they offered to reimburse my booking and assist in finding another hotel. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again, but would ensure prior knowledge about such amenities.
Location.
Situated in Harrogate, The Franklin is close to Turkish Baths and Health Spa, Valley Gardens, and Harlow Carr Gardens. Also nearby are Pannal Golf Club and Knaresborough Castle.

Visited Harrogate for 2 nights for my friends wedding, both my girlfriend and myself really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very friendly offering to help us with our bags on arrival and showed us to our room as we arrived late in the evening, also asking us when we would like breakfast in the morning. We woke up to a full English breakfast, which was […] cooked to perfection accompanied by friendly service from the owner, which gave it a personal touch. We got talking about our plans for the day and not knowing where we were going the owner offered to drive us down the road to the church. Unexpected and well appreciated. Good night sleep in comfortable bed with en suite shower room. Then again the same high level of friendly service the next morning. We were running late in the morning and the owner was flexible with our leaving time. Overall an enjoyable experience and will recommend this B&B (Hotel) for anyone, looking for a comfortable, friendly and well presented hotel room for a good price for the area. Worth every penny! "Perfect place"
