Classic "listed" property in the west end with a cozy "homely" atmosphere; well-prepared food and generous breakfast offering; staff responsive and accommodating when called upon to help with travel glitches. Great place for people watching, too, as it is a popular venue.

First, this hotel is ideally situated -- in walking distance to many key sites in Glasgow and great shopping, restaurants and theatres. The rooms are really comfortable -- spacious bedroom and bathroom, comfy quilt and pillows. And super CLEAN! The buffet breakfast is quite a spread -- cooked breakfast of sausages, eggs, baked beans, all sorts of breads, granola and yoghurt, and cheeses. Even a cappucino/latte machine and a variety of fresh juices. The best is that the welcome you receive from the front desk and their friendly help and support throughout your stay will make you feel very well looked after! I will definitely come back to this hotel again and I recommend it highly!

Cool, modern and full of tech... which mostly worked! Couldn't turn the air conditioning off and the iPhone docking station didn't work. But the room was very modern, free wifi and movies and VERY comfortable bed. Will be back

This B&B was in a good location if you're wanting to stay in Drymen. I chose it because they claimed to have wifi in all the rooms. This was not the case and when I called they said that I need to go out in the hall to connect, but then it would be good. Well I had to go downstairs and down the hall to connect and it was gone before I got back to my […] room. I tried to clal them back, but they wouldn't answer again. I emailed them and to this day never received a response. They showed a complete lack of caring for the fact that their claim was invalid. Read more

Comfortable rooms, great amenities, and a breakfast that was astounding. The Renaissance Harbour View hotel in Hong Kong is my standard for cleanliness and, while I do not expect anywhere close to that in a bed and breakfast, the Hawthorns surprised me with it's immaculately presented rooms- it was certainly on a par and the owners should be proud […] of themselves. The breakfast was plentiful, varied, delicious and well presented. I honestly can not find a fault with the ingredients used or the implementation. I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment to all and sundry- I just wish it was a little closer to Glasgow as I would use this as my base of operations when doing business there. this is the perfect base for a trip to Loch Lomond ! it's a very peaceful and scenic location with very welcoming hotel staff who know the local area well. I will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future whenever I visit the Loch Lomond area

Very welcoming owners and a great location in the centre of the village, close to 3 local pubs. A convenient base for exploring the East Side of Loch Lomond, The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and the Glengoyne Distillery :-).
