"Great view/budget hotel"
We paid a bit extra for a lake front room which was gorgeous! The views were incredible. The room was a bit outdated and had a musty smell. Also, very tiny. We loved having a little deck on the beach. Worth the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotels got my reservation wrong they booked us in a non pet friendly room I always mention I have a five pound dog it took about ten hours to straighten it out it was a night mare plus no compensation of any kind !'!!!! Not sure if we would go through hotels . Com againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grandma's Spare Room"
The place looked like it was nice 40 years ago and hasremained that way. there's a smell that reminded me of retirement apartments. the room was out dated by at least 40 years, and the beach is barely that. Not to mention the beds were smaller than described and the mattress has probably seen better days. For what I paid to be close to Meadowbrook, […] I could of stayed in Tilton for less money and a better Hotel, I guess the lesson is don't always believe the rating, talk to someone who may have visited an area that you can trust. "A solid 3.5"
We arrived on the Wednesday before bike week, and we were the only ones in the place, which was nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. My husband and I sleep on a queen bed at home, but we found the queen beds in the room a bit snug and ended up sleeping separately. The TV was a nice flat screen, but had only basic cable. I know most people don't […] go on vacation to watch TV, but the hockey playoffs were going on, and we couldn't watch them in our room. There was an available HDMI input, in case you want to bring a game system or DVD player for the kids. Which leads me to my biggest complaint - the free WiFi was useless. I could not get enough of a signal to use my iPad at all over the course of our visit. On the other hand, I had better cell service than I ever get at home, so just be prepared to use up your data minutes. The establishment is in walking distance of Weirs Beach, the drive-in, the MS Washington lake tours, etc. You can also walk out the back door of the motel and be on the lake. There were plenty of lounge chairs for guests. As I mentioned, we stayed on the cusp on the season, so the weather was still cool and often rainy, and the resort was quiet, which is how we prefer it. The restaurant was only open on the weekend at that time, so we didn't try it out. The staff were pleasant but not particularly helpful - they didn't ask if we needed directions or recommendations or anything. I would stay again, but it's definitely more rustic than luxurious. "Great location and kept very well!"
Went for a one night stay for business, The room was clean comfortable and very affordable for the end of the season. Hope to get a great deal for bike week next year because the location is prime and the events are a good time!Genuine Expedia guest review

We were absolutely satisfied .The location and views of the resort were amazing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was a little dated but clean. Excellent value for what we paid I would go back againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice hotel, within view of the lake"
The motel/hotel was cozy, clean and modern. We ate a take out supper on the little porch which was furnished with 2 comfy chairs and a table. Although it was raining, we stayed nice and dry. The linens were high quality and the bath was spotless with modern fixtures. We would definitely stay here again. We were about 50 feet from the water.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice motel on the water."
Very family oriented. It was just my husband and I and we had a nice time. However, the beachfront is very small and some families are very loud. That makes for a somewhat entertaining experience, if not all that relaxing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great last minute get a way"
Very clean and friendly staff. close to concerts and beach.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A lot of fun!"
We had a very nice time during our stay. We met some old friends at the beach bar and had some appetizers. The food and drinks were great as usual. One thing that had changed since our last stay was I didn't see the "drink menu" they had previously which made it very easy to order. The room was clean and check in was quick, easy and gracious.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Old and very basic hotel. Paid for hotel at time of booking, waited a long time to check in after a long drive, told I had not paid, and was charged $97 so tired I just needed to get to my room. Booked room with balcony was given room no1 view of car park, and next to delivery door for bar.Pleased I had only booked 1night, The Hotel give me a refund […] when I checked out agreeing I had already paid. But did not appologise for giving us such a horrible room. Will not return here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had a great stay"

The location right on the water was great and the food in the restaurant was quite good. The staff had a real customer service focus. Cottages need to be upgraded but were certainly good enough. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Overall, our stay at the NASWA was wonderful. The staff was fantastic. The cottages were small, but clean and comfortable. We only have one recommendation for the cottages ... some shelving would be so helpful. Such a easy fix to allow more organization in the tight space with very little cabinet space for food. We had a friend bring us a corner rack to place in the kitchen, since there was room, and that made the world of difference. The NASWA actually had one shelf above the couch which was a great idea, but a few more in the rooms and kitchen would prove most accommodating. The beach was raked nightly, which was very nice; however, our cottage was next to the loading area for trash removal. The carts of trash that were taken through the beach area were a bit unsightly, especially trash dripping along the beach as it was emptied. This was just a small caveat, but worth the resort looking into, otherwise, it would have gotten a 5 star rating from us.

Stayed one night to attend a James Taylor concert at Meadowbrook. We had a very basic room (terrace off parking lot) but well appointed and super clean. Quiet and great ac. The beach area is a great bonus. We had a picnic on the beach before the concert and the friendly people at the desk set us up with a cab to and from Meadowbrook. Best idea ever btw. After JT we quietly had dessert and a swim. Nice breakfast at the onsite restaurant the next morning. The resort has several options for lodging ranging from cottages to motel rooms. For our purposes it was fantastic and would not hesitate to go back for a one night stay for a Meadowbrook concert. Might be a good place for families with little kids.
"Great, even in the rain!"

We'd both been to the NASWA before but in beautiful weather, this time the forecast was iffy, we had one beautiful day and one entire day of rain. Despite the rain, we had a great afternoon! The staff ran out and bought ten or so pop-up tents to provide extra covered seating at the beach bar, so we spent the day making new friends under the tent while our son played in the lake just a couple feet from us, the air was warm and the rain didn't bother him! I should also mention, the grounds crew was great, that group of guys were all friendly and very helpful, they deserve recognition.
"Great Time!!! As always!!!"

Let me start by saying, The improvements done to the cottages was not a lot, But made a big difference. The staff was great as usual!!! THE MOST IMPRESSIVE PART OF MY STAY WAS.... After checking out and getting home, the staff contacted me and informed me that someone had found my wife's I-PAD. She didn't even know it had been left behind yet.... The honesty, along with the great service and location is the reason i will be back EVERY YEAR!!!!!
"The Two of Us and our 2 dogs"
07/15/14 Dan-Jo-VT Manchester, Vermont
Our dog friendly room wasn't elaborate but it was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was good. Unfortunately, there is no convenient place to walk the dogs. Rocks and grassy hills really made it precarious for us to take our dogs out to "go." We would have also liked to have been permitted to let our dogs swim in the lake early in the morning when the restaurant was closed and the lakefront was quiet with no guests. Walking on the road was not very safe with two dogs and so our dogs were confined in the room for two days. Not fun. Not really a dog friendly resort other than the dogs having a room to stay in.

I was pleasantly surprised as to the cleanliness of my room...didn't expect that from an older hotel. Not overly impressed with the food choices down on the beach. Boats are loud early in the morning (7am) coming and going from dock....especially the big cigarette boats. No sleeping in! Coffee in the room is kind of weak and flavorless...hotel should try a different brand. A small fridge in room would have been a nice addition.

My first time at Naswa our room was great over looking the lake, million dollar view for fire works and the boats passing by. We enjoyed sitting on the beach, food/drinks outside on the beach were great, waitress Amber was the best attentive did not rush took the time to ask how we were enjoying our stay.
"Was busy that is good, we were told three different prices before we got the right one."
We stayed across the street which I didn't like. The two girls at the front desk where not helpful at all. After working in a motel myself I know that the first appearance is the most .important. The people that were at the beach area where dirty and filled up all the chairs, couldn't get near the area at all.
"Needs serious updating!"
07/15/14 cog123 North Conway, New Hampshire
I'm not sure how people can give high marks for cleanliness and value. Although the people were very kind, the rooms were disgusting. Our room was so old and dirty our feet were black from the carpets! The mattresses were so old that my husband and I slept in a big hole in the middle... What a shame because they have such a nice location. They really need to sink some money into the rooms and update.
