The Cathedral Hotel is centrally located and the staff were marvelous. Our family enjoyed our visit to the town and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. There is no parking, which can't be helped because of the location, but they gave clear instructions on town lots not too far away. We had a good dinner and full breakfast at the hotel and would be happy to stay there again.

Immaculate, most charming, a long way to go from London but well worth it. We would stay there again, it is a total wounderful surprice. I would recomment it to all my friends.Love it!!!

Spent three nights here and was very comfortable. Charming house with great garden. The hosts were very friendly and everything was spotless. Breakfast was in true English style in the elegant dining room. I recommend the eggs with smoked salmon.

We were so happy with our stay at Hunters Lodge, it is a bit off the beaten path if you are traveling to Bath or Stonehedge, but it is beautiful country in Wincanton. Hunters lodge was great, staff was personable, very accommodating and kind. They upgraded us to a larger room without charging, got us a crib for our 2 year old, and went out of their way to make sure our son was happy in their restaurant. The dinner and breakfast (included) was great, we couldn't have been happier. The animals were fun for my son to see, even in snow. If the weather was warmer their is a great playground for your kids! The best part was the great value!

The staff was really friendly, however breakfast was somewhat surreal. We woke up what we thought late (past 8AM), but the door to breakfast room was locked. We managed to get in by taking another route through the empty house. There was no one there. Comfortable with a local pub atmosphere. Comfortable room and good service - room was made ready well ahead of listed check-in time. This was a really peaceful and relaxing base for a cycling break in the New Forest which is a joy at anytime of the year. Would reccommend to others.

Hi all. I stayed in a 5 person room. On arrival, the window had been left open in the rain, meaning flies got in, the sofa bed was not made, and there were only enough towels and cups for 2. I asked politely for some more towels but only for 4 (as our 5th guest wasn't coming), and the host was very rude saying 'it doesn't matter how many of you there […] are, i'll get some more towels'. My friends and I were all a little taken back, and went to dinner in another pub feeling like we'd made the wrong choice/it wasn't a good start to our one night in the New Forest. The next day, the host was a little nicer, the gas wasn't working but they made the best of it. I wouldn't stay again, purely due to the harsh welcome on arrival! Read more
