"Not Much--but price appropriate"
Functional, convenient and cheap. Drove from Portland to L.A. and this was a very good starting point to miss the morning traffic. No particular charm or conveniences (not even an in-room coffee maker). But pet friendly, and at $67, an appropriate value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean older property"
Clean and pleasant room.WiFi did not work for me but I have a hot spot with my phone which had five bars so all was good for me. Missed having a coffee maker to make my morning brew. I didn't shower until eight on a Saturday morning night had plenty of hot water. I only needed a bed and place to shower and dress so this fit the bill just fine. There […] was some noise from the street but my room was right next to it. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Inexpensve & convenient. Large clean room with amenities usually costing 30%-40% more.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Older motel with spacious rooms that are well-maintained. I always stay here when I have events in south Portland or Oregon City.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great rate kind of near convention center"
Compared to anything else I looked at in this price range I was very happy. My greatest complaint was the people in the room next door (which couldn't be helped) and the mattress, maybe I am spoiled on my new mattress at home but the spring mattress here left a lot to be desired in comfort. The whole room was very clean for a budget conscious hotel […] and everything looked very new and hardly used from their recent remodel. This was the first time in years I have seen a CRT TV set but it worked fine in standard definition. I was able to get some food from a Mexican place a few hundred feet down the road with a Fred Meyer right across. The neighborhood was safe to walk in at night but also in keeping with the price. Most importantly for me it was a place to sleep that was only a few short miles on the 99 south of the Convention Center. I would certainly stay here again, the staff were friendly and helpful too. "It is what it is:"
Comfortable, simple, inexpensive. Nice to have simple kitchenette in your room saves on money as you can cook for yourself. Free WiFi is nice but slow. I've stayed here more than once and would certainly do so again and recommend it for anyone on a tight budget.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What I expected for price and location"
We drove from Seattle to meet with friends who were in town for the holidays. We needed a simple, inexpensive room in this specific area for one night. I travel extensively for work and am no stranger to hotels. This is a 2 star place - at best. We know the area well - and it is not the best part of town, by any means. However, the motel is clean with […] a friendly staff and the bed was comfy. It offers no frills and there is some road noise because it is on a main through-fare. I have no complaints...especially considering the price. If you're looking for grand accommodations...this is not the place, but if you need a basic, clean room...this is what you'll get. "First time here"
I found it to be very comfortable and quiet. Bed was comfortable and it was a great shower . . . water pressure was wonderful in the morning. Affordable and close to the things I wanted.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was as quiet as any hotel I've stayed at- no frills- wireless was good- I just needed a place to stay for a few days and I don't regret having chosen this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Milwaukie Inn July 2013"
I stayed at the Milwaukie Inn because it was well priced! It is right off of a major thorough fair so my room room was a bit noisy. I didn't like the way my hotel room door did not have a deadbolt lock - so I had to stick a chair in front of the door. The microwave and refrigerator were nice to have. The frig was big enough to store a weeks worth of […] groceries. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

very nice but We could have used a coffee maker. We had a breaker switch go out for the lights one night. Don't know why.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pretty good for the price"
We have stayed at much better places, but they definitely cost more. For the price, this is a nice little motel. Room was clean. Noise from road wasn't noticeable with the a/c turned on. It got pretty noisy in the morning, but not too early. Didn't notice any noise from the other rooms until going to the bathroom in the morning. There must be very little […] insulation in the bathrooms. Not when you can hear every drop of the neighbor peeing. :) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Charge for wireless!"
I can't believe this place actually charged for wireless. The guy at check in gave me the code, but didn't mention ere was a charge. The room was clean, and not uncomfortable. At least there was a good breakfast place about a block away - Bomber.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Meet for an affair"
We only used the room for a few hours. There was no toilet paper. NONE...the spool was empty and there was no extra roll. Thank goodness for a box of facial tissue. The lamp on the table had a broken switch so it wouldn't turn on. The front window didn't lock very well. But for what we needed it for it was cheap and discreet. The bed was clean, sheets […] were standard, and the bed was sturdy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a good place to stay."
It is not a hotel or an inn, it is a motel. Its not in a good part of town. It is close to two gentelmen's clubs. I would have never stayed there it I had known where it was.Genuine Expedia guest review
"This place is shady"
This is the type of place that we put a chair in front of the door after we locked it, just because we didn't feel safe. Drunk people wandering around muttering stuff to us outside, etc. Also, the room was literally 100 degrees when we walked in and had to wait about 4 hours for the AC to cool it down while we slept in a pool of sweat. "A nice place. Friendly staff"
Staying at the Milwaukie Inn in Portland Oregon, was a nice experience. The staff was friendly, the hotel is older but clean and comfortable. Close to downtown Portland. Only blocks away from Fred Meyers a local store with full grocery store in it. Lots of local places to eat, and shop in the area. I would stay there again. We stayed two nights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's not a hotel; it's an inn, so we weren't expecting the greatest quality. But the person at the front desk, Brenda, was sweet and pleasant. The fridge in the kitchenette made a squealing noise, but not enough to bother us while sleeping. The bathroom and kitchenette were pretty nice for the price. The location overall was out of the way from Portland […] but definitely easily accessible by bus. It was a good place to stay, and I'd definitely stay there again. "Better than I thought"
11/11/13 Mazzystar100 Beaverton, Oregon
Room and grounds were nicer than I anticipated. However, the girl working the office was nasty and rude, didn't seem interested in being in a customer service type of environment. She even harassed me for booking through a third party instead of directly with the motel and tried to up-charge me for it as if to penalize me. Had my little doggy with me and the rooms were clean and comfortable, not many areas though for walking the little guy. The last night was not so great, pretty sure there was some illegal activity in the room next door but you can't fault the owners of the motel for that. They need to give better discounts for weekly residents and they definitely need to get a friendly desk/property manager. The woman who cleans the rooms was VERY VERY NICE, I feel bad that she has to work for such a nasty girl in the front.
"MOTEL, NOT INN"
08/12/13 saulele Am Samoa
Stayed with family! Our Family stayed in 3 rooms all suppose to be non-smoking.Rooms all had a musky smell, carpets had cigarette burns, sheets also had cigarette burns, towels we got daily were washed, but not spotless, most had black stains, tvs are analog ,small and blurry with limited channels, the furniture are old and stained.Only thing provided in shower was t-paper.Check in room is a standing room, the girl who gave us early check in was pleasant and well recommended the Bomber Cafe(within walking distance) for Breakfast.Althought if you book throught Booking.com you have to call them to change reservation.Area around MOTEL seems safe and well lite.Wifi is fast and free, each room had a working frig and mw.I WOULD NOT pay more then $40 night for this motel, even their so call suites with jacuzzi. We did not bail because it was close to Gray Cables for a Wedding(across the steet)
"An inexpensive place to stay, but not the cleanest"
08/09/13 Delbe M Joshua
I stayed 5 nights while attending a convention. The motel was booked as part of a flight/motel package. Some times one can be too cheap. The front office person was nice and helpful. The walls were thin and noise from the busy street/highway, parking lot and next door rooms intruded at all hours. The room cleaning was never completely done any of the days I was there and the bed was never made. Trash was sometimes emptied and sometimes the bag was placed near, but not in the trash can. A serious lack of attention to detail. The bed spread had holes in it and while it was suppose to be non smoking, it probably had not been strictly enforced. The plus was that it was very close to where i wanted to be during the day and evening hours and access was easy. There was a refrigerator in the room and wi-fi was also free. Would I stay there again? Possibly, but not likely. Was it a horrible experience - no. Just not the best. Given the price, I think I more or less got what I paid for.
Both front desk and room had an old musty smell to them. Room was small and poorly furnished. Bed was u comfortable. For $92 a night I expected more. I've stayed in a much better room for far less money recently. Man at the front desk was friendly but that's how customer service SHOULD be. Much better options available in the area. Had not every other hotel been booked that evening I never would have stayed.
I couldn't believe how horrible this place was, rude lady at the front desk, overwhelming smell of cockroaches. I was going to stay there because of the rate, but in turn you couldn't pay me to have my family stay here. GROSS!!!
"Fine but not special"
11/18/12 travelling_ml west coast
I stayed here with my sister for two nights on a recent trip through Portland and found it perfectly adequate, thought nothing special. It was clean enough though not recently renovated. The basics were in place -- but be sure to have your own soap and shampoo with you. What's here is just the bare minimum. So, it's not expensive so you get what you pay for.

Lovely clean nice rooms, free internet access. Friendly receptionist. They have microwaves an fridges in every room, great for leaving snacks in when your on the go. Had a great stay don't have anything negative to say. I will definitely come back next time I am in town.
"Super Nice, art deco styled motel"
08/02/11 hawkeye6500 GERMANTOWN
We have stayed at the Milwaukie Inn several times and always find the motel rooms clean, good towels, good TVs, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, reasonable priced, microwave/junior refrigerator, and helpful and friendly owners. Also one will note all the beautiful rose bushes around the property, take your camera. Milwaukie is just south of Portland, much easier to get around in. Location is great, several restaurants, large change grocery store nearby. This is not like the rubber stamped chain motels, a small, one level "back into yesterday", enjoyable motels you can park your car at the front door. We stay there when we are in the Portland area, one year for a whole week.
"Worst Hotel I've ever been to."
07/25/11 kayleeab Clackamas, Oregon
I stayed here while I was waiting for my Apartment to open up. The maids skipped my room many times. Not including we had no hot water for quit a bit of time and our air conditioner didn't work so we couldn't stand to be in the hotel room. I had to go to the office many times about our problems that I finally asked for the owner to call me and the guy in the office said that the owner don't care and wont call me. Then I had to call down to the office because the maids skipped our room and we needed them to as we were running low on things and he yelled at me and was very rude to me so I asked him again to have the owner call me. He first told me that the owner wont and don't care then he said he was the owner and was going to call the cops on me for trust passing when we payed our week and they accepted it. Cops never showed up but still after all we have been though here they never offered us a discount and they wont have the real owners call us. I would not advise anyone to stay here more then one night because all these managers are is worthless and don't like it when you come in the office with neededing something. They lie to you and they treat you like your nothing. Even though you pay for your service.
"very quite and nice service"
05/01/10 mschavez07 San Jose, California
I traveled to the Milwaukie area to visit some family members in the area. I found that the hotel was very economical on the rates. It was a great value for the services that they offered. Nice and quite and the staff was very welcoming and had good knowledge of the area and what it had to offer. I will definitely be returning back to stay here again.
