Ithaca of South Beach Hotel - Miami Beach

I really enjoyed my stay, rooms where chic and well decorated. Staff was very helpful, great location to walk to dinner or to the beach. Champne And wine on arrival cheese and wind served at 6. Can't get any better than that!

THIS HOTEL IS CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! THE BEACH, STORES, CLUBS, YOU NAME IT! OUR ROOM WAS BEAUTIFUL AND CLEAN, JUST NO VIEW TO ANYTHING, BUT THAT WAS FINE WITH ME. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES FROM THE FRONT DESK REALLY MESSED UP, WE ASKED HIM TO CALL A CAB FOR US, WHICH OUR DESTINATION WAS A SHORT DRIVE AWAY, BUT HE GAVE THE TAXI DRIVER […] THE WRONG ADDRESS AND SENT US ON A 20 MINUTE RIDE THAT COST US $50 BECAUSE WE HAD TO CALL A CAB BACK TO OUR HOTEL, MONEY GONE DOWN THE DRAIN, WE WENT BACK TO COMPLAIN BUT HIS SHIFT WAS OVER, BUT THAT WAS THE ONLY UPSETTING PART OF OUR STAY. My mom and I stayed at Ithaca for 5 nights and loved everything about our stay. The rooms are super spacious and look even better in reality than on pictures. The beautiful public beach is 1 block away. You can rent chairs and umbrellas there or just relax on your towel. It wasn't at all crowed and seemed very clean. Also Ithaca is 1 block away from […] the Ocean Dr. with all kinds of restaurants. The hotel is located on Collins Ave. which is great for shopping. Zara, Mango, Club Monaco are literary across the street. Free breakfast was offered in the lobby and it consisted of very tasty pastries and croissants, toast, meat and cheese platter, coffee and juices. Also between 6 and 7 PM they offered wine and cheese with crackers (delicious wine, different kind every day). The manager was extremely nice to us. Another huge plus of this boutique hotel - it has only 11 rooms so you very rarely meet (or hear) other people. Google TV with free Netflix, Pandora, and Internet access was great. Free Wi-Fi worked perfect as well. Some minor things to consider before your stay: - there is a $ 25 charge for each lost room-key; - no restroom in the lobby (after check out we had to use a public one 1 block away) - no luggage room, although they were very nice to let us leave our luggage right in front of the reception for pretty much the whole day. The rooms were large, furniture is modern (flat screen google tv, ipod alarm clock/dock), and the staff are friendly and super accommodating. Very nice welcome gifts and toiletries just for staying. Only issue is that there is no ice machine, you have to go through the front desk to get ice and it's scarce. The Ithaca is a wonderful Boutique Hotel located towards the southern end of South Beach. Our 5 day stay at the hotel was simply wonderful. The staff is terrific. Friendly, helpful, and full of ideas for things to do while in Miami. The rooms were bright, spacious with a modern decor. We would not hesitate staying there our next trip back to Miami.

We arrived early, and though they did not have a luggage room, they allowed us to leave the luggage in the hallway until check-in time. The staff was extremely helpful and kind - and the complimentary sparkling wine upon check-in was a pleasant surprise - though they were not extraordinarily knowledgeable if you are looking to explore off the beaten […] track in Miami.* The hotel room was clean (with wood laminate floors rather than carpet, which is nice), large, and beautifully designed/decorated. The bed was comfortable as well. The shower was amazing, complete with a glass door and beautiful rainfall showerhead. My one and only "qualm" (though this was not a big deal in the slightest, just a surprise# was that the "juice" at the complimentary breakfast was actually Tang. Just strange and kind of disappointing that it wasn't Florida orange juice. * If you are looking for vegetarian or any kind of ethnic food in the slightest #besides Italian#, it's best to avoid Ocean Drive, which consists of side-by-side cookie cutter Italian restaurants which stretch on forever. We later learned that are all owned by the same few people, and that the best place to go for good, cheaper, and ethnically diverse food is in the Art & Design district. Read more

The room was huge and well furnished, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff really friendly. I loved the location- just 1 block back from the beach and in the middle of some pretty cool shops (Zara, Mango, Intermix, MAC, Sephora and many more all within a block or so). The only down side to this hotel was having to go up a flight of stairs, […] but the staff took our bags for us so it wasn't really an issue. Oh and maybe the AC in the room was a bit loud. Staff knew who I was before I even told them, champagne delivered to the room within minutes of checkin, rooms were truly as represented in pictures on the web, very clean, continental breakfast was very good, snacks were out at other times of the day (also very good). We got locked out of our room and the staff knew exactly which room we were in and let us in right away because they knew us by face (at the very least). The only complaint was that they started building a cabinet outside of our room quite early, which is understandable since it is a very new hotel and are still in the process of getting the last things in place. Quando chegamos fomos logo cobrados por duas taxas: resort e estacionamento. O estacionamento 25 dolares ao dia e de resort 16 dolares. Essa segunda se refere ao uso de duas toalhas de praia e um guarda-sol. O Hotel nao dispoe de servicos de praia.O que gerou um debido no cartao a mais, que foi restituido depois que recebemos a nota de despesas.O nosso […] quarto nao tinha internet, nem wifi, e era minimo. O box devia ser de 45cm por 45cm, uma pessoa maior nao tomaria banho. Qdo reclamei me disseram que foi devido ao valor pago, mas na reserva nao havia nada escrito. Os funcionarios sao atenciosos.
