It was a wonderful stay. The service industry in Germany varies greatly from that in the US. Keep your expectations in check. The hotel was very close to the Dom, train station, and several attractions we could simply walk to. Over all, it was a good value for this time of year.

Das Hotel war, wir waren schon einmal dort, wie gewohnt super. Alles sauber, gute Ausstattung, Frühstück supergut, eigentlich rundum alles hervorragend. Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer mit einer Durchgangstür. Im Nebenzimmer waren mehrere Personen, die bis 05.30 Uhr miteinander sprachen, lachten usw. Durch die Verbindungstür war alles deutlich zu hören […] und auch der Lichtschein vom Nebenzimmer war unterhalb der Tür deutlich zu sehen. Dieses ware etwas störend. Read more

Ik heb genoten van een heerlijk bad, en het ontbijt was zeer goed. Helaas heb ik 's avonds mee mogen genieten van mijn buurman zijn tv, en 's nachts bleek hij te snurken (waar hij niks aan kan doen natuurlijk). Ben om 02.15 uur naar receptie geweest voor een andere kamer, was geen probleem. Heb voor dit hotel gekozen omdat er vermeld stond dat de kamers […] geluiddicht zijn, dit heb ik niet zo ervaren. Ein hoch funktional eingerichtetes Hotel. Auf dem Zimmer findet man alles, was man als Reisender während des Aufenthalts braucht. Und dennoch strahlt das Zimmer auch ein Wohlfühlklima aus. Es ist schön, dass jeden Abend eine Flasche (und nicht die kleinste) zum freien Genuß auf dem Zimmer steht. Das gesamte Personal im Hotel ist ausgesprochen freundlich […] und hilfsbereit und das Frühstücksbuffet reichhaltig und lecker (z.B. viel frisches Obst schon mundgerecht zubereitet). Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr vorteilhaft, Lanxess, Straßenbahn, S-Bahn sind schnell zu erreichen. Mit der Straßenbahn erreicht man die Innenstadt auch ganz schnell. Alles bestens gelaufen! Meine Eltern waren hochzufrieden, sie konnten nur vor der angekündigten Check-in-Zeit (15.00) schon bei Ankunft gegen ca. 13.00 Uhr in ihr Zimmer. Restaurant leider geschlossen (erst ab 18.00 Uhr abends), es wurde aber - natürlich gegen Bezahlung -ein leckerer Snack (frisches Sandwiches) serviert. Umliegend war in der Nähe kein […] Restaurant. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Meine Eltern haben sich sehr wohl und aufgehoben gefühlt und würden das Hotel sofort weiterempfehlen. So konnten sie das Konzert von Andre Rieu in der gegenüberliegenden Lanxess-Arena wunderbar genießen und am nächsten Tag dann entspannt wieder nach Hause fahren.
