Aldrovandi Residence City Suites - Rome

We had a marvelous time at the Aldrovandi Residence City Suites, from Enrico & Luigi (staff) to our beautiful room and our wonderful breakfast buffet! Our room (suite) was beautiful with tall ceilings and a full kitchen. And Enrico and Luigi helped us get to where we needed to go!

The hotel is great, the pool is beautiful, the only shame is that they shut it at 6.30pm. You have beds all around and they give you a towel everytime you use it. The breakfast is wonderful very fresh and for every taste, the servers are very professional and polite. We had a room on the ground floor with a little terrace, it was wonderful.There was […] a little kitchenette with plates and glasses and everything you needed to cook , it was like a little flat on its own. It was nicely positioned and the tram going to the metro would stop just in front of the hotel. It was very safe and it was residential. We found this wonderful restaurant 15 minutes walk from the hotel which they recommended and we ended up eating there most of the time it was so good, so if they send you there too, well go it is very very good. There was free wifi and we could use our computer in the evening. It is next to a zoo and a huge park which was beautiful with a little lakes and you could rent a boat. You could even walk to the metro through the park, it would take about 20minutes and it is downhill. Very very good indeed I would recommend it for sure. Read more

We had a very comfortable stay in this hotel, staff were friendly and helpful and if we were to go to Rome again we would stay here again. Pretty good location, nice and quiet although further from places like the Colloseum, Vatican City. Close though to a big park, the museum of modern art and the villa Borghese.

A quiet and spacious hotel in a lovely district. Really friendly staff (especially Enrico). Lovely food choices for breakfast and facilities in the room to cook if you want to. Just be aware that the pool closes at 6.30pm.

Had afabulous stay here. The accommodation as superb and the staff couldnt do enough for you. Breakfast offered a great choice to start the day. It really was a pleasant walk into the start of the centre of Rome. Would definately stay here again.

The Aldrovandi Residence Suites could not have been a more prefect place to stay. We wanted a place with a pool, which was great after some time sight seeing in Rome. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier especially Alessandra on receptionand Angelo at the pool bar. The breakfast was excellent and a great start to the day. Excellent service. Lovely breakfast room with good choice of food. There is a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest Metro however there is a tram stop outside the hotel which we didn't use. Lovely pool with bar. Rooms were clean and tastefully furnished in keeping with the style.

Aldrovandi Residence was a last minute booking due to a problem with the original hotel - we were so glad we changed!! The pool area is the icing on the cake, the rooms are high ceilinged and spacious, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend it!

The experience of being in a 'residence' in Rome is a good one as it allows for greater flexibility especially as breakfast is included.Location is very good in good weather as it gives good access to Villa Borghese, Borghese and Etruscan museums and the zoo (a favourite with young ones) HOWEVER the frontage of the residence is on a road which can be […] busy and has tram lines. This can result in a great deal of noise and vibration on first floor and corner rooms between 0600 and about 0030. AND if you are a business traveller or like to get the most of your stay, the swimming pool is open 1030 to 1830- can't be used it at the two ends of the day that are useful. At those times the swimming pool will be in the shade; however in the summer heat this could be an advantage for most visitors! The front desk staff are helpful and cheerful, plentiful breakfast is served in an airy room, Take away delivery services in Rome (a relatively recent development) result in being able to dine and drink at home even without shopping.The nearest food stores are at a distance and the residence or someone else could offer a shop and deliver service that would enhance the convenience. Structurally a sliding door between bedroom hall and bedroom would engance privacy, comfort and acoustic insulation from the corridor. lagging of some of the internal water down pipes would also enhance privacy. Altogether close to being excellent but soem of the above could prove a major disappointment. Read more

proche du magnifique parc de la villa Burghese, tramway à côté. très bon confort, personnel admirable et aux petits soins. seul petit bémol: un petit peru de bruit (tramway, zoo) pour les chambres coté rue. mais nous reviendrons dans cet hotel, c'est sûr.

The room was spatious (4m height) with a large bathroom and a fully equipped kichenette where one could easily cook a meal and enjoy it around the round table. Even the table cloth was provided. Aldrovandi Residence City Suites sijaitsee jonkin matkan päästä Rooman keskustasta. Hotellin edestä kulkevat ratikat 3 (Manzonin metroasemalle) ja 19 (Vatikaaniin). Suurin ongelma kohtasi heti vastaanotossa: tulimme aamulennolla, olimme hotellissa noin klo 13, mutta huone oli saatavissa vasta klo 16. Saimme huoneiston, joka sijaitsi kellarikerroksessa. […] Hyvänä puolena oli oma pieni piha, jonka raskas valurautaportti erotti kadusta. Huoneisto oli siisti ja tilava ja sänky kohtuullisen mukava. Aamiainen oli oikein hyvä. Hotellissa oli myös uima-allas, jota emme käyttäneet. Loppulaskussa oli ongelma, jota emme huomanneet: meiltä laskutettiin jotain uima-allasbaarin tuotteita, vaikka emme olleet siellä edes käyneet. Read more

Ein sehr schönes Hotel in der Nähe eines schön angelegten Parks. Service und Zimmer waren sehr schön. Das tägliche Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Die vorhandene Küche in dem Zimmer ist wunderbar, wenn man sich nicht mehr nach einem langen Tag aufraffen kann um Essen zu gehen. Kleiner Supermarkt in der Nähe des Hotel, einfach für die Wegbeschreibung […] an der netten Rezeption fragen. Die Lage ist ideal, ruhig in einem Botschaftsviertel, S- Bahnlinien direkt vor der Tür, wer diese nicht nutzen möchte kann zu Fuß in ca 20 min das Zentrum Roms erreichen. Aldrovandi Residence ligger i et svært rolig område utenfor selve sentrum, men ikke mer enn ca 15 min gange til Piazza del Popolo (hvor nærmeste t-bannestopp er) gjennom Ville Borghese parken, og derifra ikke mer enn 5-10 min gangavstand til spansketrappen. Egentlig veldig behagelig å bo på et på et rolig sted etter sightseeing på svært folksomme steder […] på dagtid og kvelder med middager med yrende folkeliv. Hotellet hadde et flott basseng, noe som var deilig etter en dag med mye vandring mellom severdigheter. Rommet var rent og stort, og hold en bra standard. Trevligt hotell med mycket välkomnande och familjär karaktär. Bra rum, med viss störning från spårvagnar på gatan utanför. Pool och poolområde på hotellet är mycket fint, och perfekt avkoppling med bad på eftermiddagen efter en vandring i staden på förmiddagen.

Når man tager til Rom i august er det godt at tage de sidste dage på et hotel med swimmingpool, selvom det ligger lidt afsides i forhold til turist seværdigheder, i forhold til gåafstand.

Besökte Rom med en vän under 5 dagar i augusti. Bodde i Junior suit. Härlig takhöjd och massor av utrymme. Personalen är mycket vänliga och engagerade i sina gäster. Man känner sig mycket välkommen. Vi hade ca 35+ hela veckan och då är poolen en underbar oas. Allesandro möter alltid upp med dynor och rena handukar till solsängarna. I baren serveras […] svalkande drycker och snacks. Trots hettan promenerade vi genom den vackra parken och efter ca 20 minuter är du vid spanska trappan. Annars åkte vi taxi som kostar ca hälften jämfört med sverige. Personnel accueillant, aimable, parlant français et accessible 24h/24. Les chambres sont grandes, avec cuisine, les rangements nombreux (armoires, commodes, canapé) mais le mobilier semble quelque peu daté. Arrêts de bus et de tram aux pieds de l'hôtel. Malheureusement les fréquences très irrégulières et les vibrations induites sur les chambres côtés […] rues sont un vrai handicap. La piscine est très agréable, bien qu'étant à l'ombre et fermant dès 18h30. Le petit déjeuner buffet est très complet et varié (sucré, salé, fruits frais). Peu d'activités autour de l'hôtel qui se situe dans un quartier calme. 15 à 20 minutes à pieds permettent de rejoindre un bout de la ville (Via Veneto ou Piazza del Popolo par exemple) en traversant le parc de la Villa Borghese. Un retour en taxi la nuit coûte entre 10 à 20 €. Read more
