The hotel is a nice place; clean, comfortable, and has a beautiful view. The breakfast is pretty bad, but that is fairly standard for bungalows in Thailand. My main complaint was the noise. Starting at 9pm, the clubs on Ton Sai beach get going, and the sound bounces across the bay and straight to your bungalow. The bungalows close to the water are particularly […] affected. They give you earplugs, but they don't help...my room was literally shaking from the bass. If you are on Phi Phi to party anyways, then it's not a big deal. The hotel is located up on the hill from Ao Dalam Beach so expect a bit of a walk uphill. The walk is not that pleasant either- trash piles head high on both sides and of course, the smell of sewage. You get to walk over a bridge where the run off from the "poo garden" flows right into the ocean by the beach. We enjoyed 4 nights at this hide-away bungalow. We originally booked a basic bungalow with AC (on the back of the property, basic accommodations, clean, value priced) but upon arrival, decided to upgrade to a deluxe bungalow (with a view of the ocean). The price to upgrade is worth every penny! The staff was so wonderful too! When they found out that […] it was our honeymoon, they snuck in our room and arranged flower petals in the shape of our names. They went above and beyond! This is a brand new property, so they are still landscaping, etc. In the 5 days we were there, they constructed a pond, bar awning, and stairs down to the beach. If we ever return to Phi Phi, I can't wait to see what this property looks like in a year. It's already an amazing garden oasis........ We were a bit hesitant to book the hotel at first, based on online reviews of noise from the party beaches down the hill. You can hear a mess of music until 3am every morning. However, upon arriving we found it is a small island and there literally is no where (that side of the island) that you can go to avoid the music. after we arrived at the port, a staff member picked us up to walk to the place. About 20 min walk in the heat, but there are no cars here, so you have to walk to wherever you go, that was the least of our concern. Excelent service, location, food. If you are looking for a quiet place for holiday choos Phuphaya Seaview Resort in Kho phi phi. Beautiful vief from the hotel, little up on the hill gives extra excitment every day. We had own bech with the bar and nice music. Rooms are clean and nice. Very recomended.

The walk up the huge hill in the heat to the hotel is dreadful. Once you are at the hotel you need to climb another hill to get to your room. If you go down to breakfast and back to your room, you need to climb that hill again. For the location alone I would not recommend staying here. The breakfast was very disappointing, after staying at so many other places in Thailand, where a massive buffet breakfast was included, this breakfast is very stingy. Choose one thing from the menu, choose one drink, coffee or tea or juice. If you choose the toast, you receive 2 pieces of toast, and a small pat of jam. That's it! Very disappointing. The view from your breakfast table is divine though... Another disappointment (again because I compare to my experiences in other Thai hotels) was that they do supply you with daily drinking water!! We received 2 bottles on the first day - and thats it!! I enquired, and I got a very nonplussed reply of ' we only give water on the first day.' Lastly there are huge security cameras all throughout the grounds of the hotel. All at eye level, and we even had one pointed right in the direction of out front window to our bungalow. Really really helpful staff. They pick you up from the port carrying all your bags. You even get a van lift up the steep hill. The music is loud but nothing a pair of ear plugs doesn't resolve. Cleaniest hotel room yet! Scenary absolutely beautiful.

We booked this hotel in advance and came with great expectations. We though it would be nice to stay a bit away from town but still have a seaview and the promise of a beach. Apparently if you can spot the sea from one place on the resort you're allowed to write that there's a seaview. We stayed in one of the bamboo huts and it was tucked away at the […] back. Just behind the hotel there's another hotel or maybe some people living, anyway you can hear people talking and yelling all day long. (it was raining so we spend some extra time inside our hut). It was raining a lot and there was a leak in the roof in the bathroom together with a tiled floor it's quite a dangerous combination. We tried to tell the hotel staff but their english was very limited, so it was never fixed. The breakfast was boring and sometimes even a bit uncooked. We also used their laundry service and all our clothes came back wet and all of it wasen't even clean. Don't even get me started on the beach, 2 square meters of sand is NOT a beach and when the high tides comes it disappears. I would not come back to this hotel, I would either splurge a bit more cash and get a nicer place or just stay in town where your expectations probably are lower anyway. Read more

We had a lot of positive expectations to this location, cause of pictures and the explaing text from internet. But when you arrive, you have to pay 20 Bath/person - for cleaning the island. Good and reasonably idea due to much more turists than residents on this island - regarding pollution. But this island does not clean up anywhere. Beware, there […] are no cars, scooter allowed on this island - so that means walking. The distance from pier to hotel is 25 - 30 min - sometimes uphill in 30+ degrees C. Our cottage was very cosy in pictures, but the trough comes out IRL. Small, not clean, light balls was missing, TV-set didnt work, drain from zink was defect. Plumer came and loosen lock and left - with all smelling parts lying on floor. Cleaing is only making the bed and sweeping with a bamboo sweeper. No new water, shampoo, towls. The breakfest is almost a joke. 2 slishes of toast, 1 egg and 1 cup very thin coffee. The smell is very bad servel places on this island. Loud music every night until 03:00 AM from discoteque at the beach. Beware of extra cost if you are going to the other Phi-Phi island with only beach and cliffs. When you arrive and think you have paid for the hole trip - the boatsmen that brings you to this island, charge you extra 100 Bath/person. Hadde ikke varmt vann, men greit toalett og vaskeservant. Vi fikk to håndkler men ingen håndsåpe. Positivt om rommet: innsektsnett, safe (selv om det bare var å ta med seg hele den tynne veggen om du ønsket å ta med deg safen) TV og fin terrasse. Dog med sviktende gulv. Man passerer fryktelig mye søppel ved ankomst til anlegget. Personalet: Hyggelige, men kun en av resepsjonistene som kan forstå og gjøre seg forstått på engelsk. Nur Abends (wg. Flut) hat Wasser und auch die Umgebung nicht gestunken. Ohne eigene Gesundheit zu gefährden sollte man auf der Hoteleigener Strand hier nicht baden gehen. Abwässer aus den Hotels in der Umgebung werden in Meer in der Entfernung von ca. 50m von Phuphaya eingeleitet. Die gesamte Bucht mit dazugehörigen Stränden ist unbrauchbar und müsste […] geschlossen werden. Im Hochsaison wenn die Absetzbecken die Abwässer aus der Hotels nicht mehr fassen können wird dieser Dereck einfach ins Meer eigeleitet. Nur TonSay Beach als Altenative! ...und laut ist überall außerdem auch noch. Lärm kommt nicht nur von der Bucht sondern auch von den benachbarten Hotels. Unmögliche Zustand! In der Zukunft werde auf die andere Seite kommen oder Ton Say Bucht bis zu Long Beach, wo sehr schöne und günstigere als PHUPHAYA Hotels gibt. Read more

Det er meget bratt vei opp til anlegget. Selve anlegget ligger også i bratt bakke. Det var ganske skummelt å bevege seg ned til resepsjonsområdet. Du skal være i god form. Mye støy fra nattelivet. Ørepropper er et must. Vi bodde i en bungalow med aircondition noe jeg tror løftet vårt helhetsinntrykk. Det står at stedet har en privat strand... Det kan […] heller kalles en badeplass hvor bunnen er fryktelig uren. Men det er den over hele Phi Phi på den siden av øya. Man passerer et område hvor det bor lokalbefolkning og her er det fryktelig mye søppel. Om kvelden er det dårlig med belysning på veien, så lykt kan være lurt. Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war katastrophal. In der Naehe lag ein Fluss in den die Abwaesser der naheliegenden Hotels muendete und sehr stinkte. Dies beeinflusste die Wasserqualitaet in der gesamten Umgebung erheblich. Im Wasser schwam alles moegliche von Muell bis Feckalien alles dabei. Die Hotelzimmer waren auch sehr sparsam ausgestattet, Schraenke fehlten […] und Kleintiere waren in allen Ecken zu finden. Das Personal war mittelmaesig aber wenigstens verstanden sie gebrochen Englisch. Das Fruehstueck war seinen Preis nicht wert und sehr mickrig ausgefallen. Over står det rangeringer på "hotell". Kan ikke kalle det et hotell. Det var jo bungalower. Servicen var utmerket. Blide, smilende mennesker som kom møtende på piren når vi kom med båten. Det var jo bra for oss, som ikke hadde peiling på hvor vi skulle gå. Så gjennom gatene på PhiPhi ble bagasjen fraktet for oss. Godt var det for det var super varmt […] og en syyykt laaaang og hard bakke for å komme opp til plassen. Godt å kjenne det brenne litt ekstra i lårmusklene når man er på ferie og spiser masse god mat. Vi sjekket inn. Vi hadde bestilt med vifte bare. Det gikk i tre netter før vi oppgraderte til aircondition. Oppholdet ble straks mye bedre. Helt til dagen etter hvor vi ikke hadde varmt vann, men det ble gjort bedre av at alle som jobbet der kastet seg rundt og fikset ny bungalow til oss, der alt fungerte. Folkene som jobbet der gjorde hele oppholdet bra og at vi hadde med oss ørepropper:) For musikken fra stranda høres ganske godt, men det gjør den vel de fleste stedene der ;) Jeg ble fridd til der og de ansatte disket opp med 5 retters middag til oss, beste maten jeg har spist på lenge :) men selve plassen var litt slitsomt. Dette fordi jeg ikke er veldig glad i insekter og ymse dyr som maur, gresshopper, mus, veps o.l. og det at vi måtte gå igjennom en litt søppelplass/kloakk område for å komme opp og ned til "byen" og stranda. Men plassen hadde de beste ansatte av alle plassene vi var på i Thailand. Read more

The place is quite far off and it took me about 20mins from the pier to the hotel, so you should be comfortable carrying your backpack for a short distance.
