"Bleed you dry..."
I haven't stayed in any other hotels in London but I have stayed in a couple others in Europe and the Tune Hotel has a billion and one hidden fees. If you want your room cleaned more than once in a 3 day period then they charge you extra. If you want more than two towels within that 3 days it costs extra. (They only gave us one). Wifi, early check in, […] holding bags before or after your stay and probably more is extra. The hotel looks really nice and updated in the pictures but the rooms are tiny. We had a lot of luggage and had trouble finding spots to put it since you only have about a 1 ft walk way around the bed. The lounge and rooms are updated. The rooms aren't dirty or anything but they don't have any of the amenities you would think a hotel would offer you normally. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to tube station but poor customer service"
Hotel room only big enough for 1 guest. No place for suitcase or toiletries in bathroom. Shower floor flooded. Since no phone in room had to go to front desk tp request it be fixed. No response. Had to request extra towels since entire bathroom area was flooded. Before we could it extra towels the ones on floor soured coffee shop next door. Its as small as advertised and they charge you for every and any thing extra, but it's in a great location ang good for the priceGenuine Expedia guest review
The room was much smaller than we expected. The staff were very helpful in moving us to a "larger" room. The first room was spotless.. very clean. The second room was less clean, but slightly larger. Great location near all the sights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall good. Floor was not clean, when I wiped up an area with the towel, layers of grime came up. Staff was outstanding: friendly and helpful...seemed to be a team. Room was very small. Location perfect, Lambeth North subway right next door and many good restaurants nearby...interesting neighborhood, felt safe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location for certain sights!"
All the things I really wanted to see were in a very short walking distance! London Eye, Westminster Abbey and House of Parliament. Started in the handicap room which was spacious, but the shower was very poorly constructed and leaked all over the bathroom floor. Switched to a room about half the size, but as long as it's just two people you will have […] enough room, just no privacy from the other person in the room with you. Nice view of a few structures in London from our room window! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay at Tune was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location, pricing, and modern, but devasatatigly small rooms, and overall lacking in quality. But super location, secure, and priced very well.Genuine Expedia guest review
Tune was clean and staff was friendly. Though, beware- they don't clean rooms everyday and also charge for EVERYTHING. For example, internet was extra , tv was extra and they charged me to keep my bags behind the counter first day I checked in and was too early , which I think is really bad business. There were no phones in the room and my neighbors […] were loud. The last night I was there my neighbors decided to move rooms at midnight and spent the next two hours slamming their door. I complained to front desk but nothing was done. Why the hotel allowed them to move at midnight is beyond me. It was convenient and clean. Rooms are VERY small. For price, was exceptional, just passable. The location was fantastic because of it's proximity to the tube. I would look for another place to stay in London next time before booking again. All in all it was ok. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
First, when we got there to check in, it took forever. The lady was so busy giving wrong information (which was corrected by an off duty employee). Then we get to our room. The bed was made but it was NEVER cleaned. Dirty sheets, dirty towels, used bar soap, dirty shower...just gross. So we headed back to the office. She followed us to the room, confirmed […] it was unclean and then took us to a room on the top floor. Te elevator only goes up to five, so you have to take the stairs. We declined because our bags are heavy and those stairs would be exhausting after a long day of walking. We settled in a different room. The rooms are uncomfortably small. Sheets are hard and you get one pillow each. There are also NO PHONES in the room, so if you need something (like the heat turned off because the controls didn't work) you have to keep going down. Which we did multiple times. Our last day, as my husband and I were getting dressed, an employee opens the door...without knocking!! All in all, nice location being close to the Underground but find somewhere else if you can. Super disappointed and would NEVER stay or recommend this hotel, even if we got a good deal. Customer service was poor and so was this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Tiny Room, Good Location"
If you want a terribly good laugh, then try this hotel as it is ridiculously bad (laughably). To start out with....my college dorm room was twice the size of this hotel room (no exaggeration). Lol...... you cannot sit on the toilet straight as your legs will hit the wall in front of you. There were literally no amenities in the room. They don't provide […] towels, soap, lotion, nada. By the way, we had to hall our luggage up a narrow flight of stairs because there was no elevator access to the 6th Floor. In this hotel's defense, it has a good location close to many main attractions. Otherwise, this hotel is generally junk with a tiny room and no amenities. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small & beautiful"
Tiny room, but great location. A very smart hotel concept for a short stay. Clean and modern bathroom and comfortable bed, just no space to put your bed down.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Less fluff for less money"
The Tune is very up front about the size of the rooms and lack of extras. Do not expect to find a coffee pot or a closet in your room. What you will get is a clean, well maintained room with a helpful staff at a very reasonable price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"You're right smack middle of everything"
To sum it up - the hotel was OKAY. But it was great having it so close to everything in London.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Helpful staff and Great Location!"
I really enjoyed this Hotel. I went to London from America and didn't know my way around the area. The staff members were really helpful with giving me directions and suggestions to some places around where I was staying at. I was glad to know that many of the major Landmarks were about 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. When I go back to London, […] this Hotel will definitely be on top of my list. "A bargain the minimalist traveller will appreciate"
If all you expect from a hotel is a place to sleep and take a hot shower, you'll really enjoy your stay in one of these small, basic rooms. The hotel is in a great location and costs far less than its fancy neighbors.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value but just plain uncomfortable"
It is a quick walk to all the tourist spots such as the London Eye and Big Ben, which is awesome. Overall it is a pretty good value for a budget traveler. Problem is our spring bed was so stiff and uncomfortable that I couldn't even get a full night's rest. There is also nowhere to put your luggage in the tiny room so you have to crawl over it to move […] around. I've stayed at small places before that did a much better job of providing shelves and space over and under the bed to free up room for walking. I wouldn't recommend it because of such low comfort level, but if those things don't bother you then it's an otherwise good choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was wonderful. You really can't beat the price staying within a few blocks of Big Ben. The toilet had an issue, where it kept running , draining nonstop. The front desk first said they had no other rooms to transfer us to. I suggested they call a 24 hour plumber. They said they cannot. After the front desk girl investigated the toilet, […] she jammed it to stop from draining and magically opened up another room for us to stay in. The room are tiny, which is fine because if you are spending excessive time in your hotel room in central London, something is up. Enjoy the city, stay at this hotel. Just watch out for the plumbing. "Small but perfect for sightseeing nightowls"
This was exactly what I expected after reading the reviews - the room is the smallest you could ever possibly see, I mean my husband hit my head coming out of the bathroom because there was no where else to stand, however it was clean and PERFECTLY located in the middle of London, just next to the tube stop. Bring a noise maker to sleep sweetly, otherwise […] you will hear the tube and/or the amazing and fun bar next door. Great place to rest your head, but not relax in. Great room for sightseers and nightowls. Friendly and helpful staff. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location, small rooms"
Great and convenient location. Minimal rooms (I'm ok with this, knew that going in, don't need the room but to sleep in it). Clean, well lit, modern facilities. One thing I didn't like was they won't check you in until 3pm, and check out is at 10am, convinced this is to get you to pay extra fees (leaving a luggage bag at reception is two pounds) TIP: […] If your stay doesn't include free wifi, or if you need a second device connected w/o paying extra, AND you are staying close to the ground floor, buy a coffee at the Costa located at the bottom to use their wifi Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Reasonable for the money"
TIny rooms, but the price was right. I can't emphasize enough how small the rooms are. However, it is very close to the Lambeth North tube stop and there is a small grocery store across the street. A coffee shop is next door, as is a bar.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very tiny hotel"
I was in a double room and the bed was incredible small, the room was so little that was unconfortable. Also we paid for safety box and they will never make it work but they did not refund any money. This is not what I was expecting at all. Shame because the location is very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but cheap"
Super small room but it was cheap and near the sites we wanted to seeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Right next to the Waterloo underground station, easy walking to the river...small room, very clean, comfortable bed. Price was a steal!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As my wife puts it, "it is what it is". The room was clean and neat, sure, but tiny is too big a word. There was insufficient floor space to place two carry-on bags. Small? The double bed fit neatly between two walls; our feet touched the wall at one end, and our heads almost touched the opposite. The walls are paper thin, or at least sounded like […] it. I liken this hotel to a cheap cruise ship, but in all fairness, cruise ships at least let you have a towel. Here, the towel charge was a pound fifty. Two people means two towels, which means an extra $4.80. On the other hand, if you're a student or a traveler with few expectations and all you really need is a room and a shower, this will do nicely. It was horribly expensive for such a crackerbox, though. If you're going to go, make reservations directly through the hotel and avoid even more expense. Hey, at least we got a window - not all rooms have 'em. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Small, tiny rooms, but cheap and convenient"
The room size wasn't the issue compared to the minuscule bathroom. Not recommended for anyone not intimate with room partner. You can see your roomie use the toilet through the glass shower door. Bathroom resembles a camper bathroom: toilet and sink in same space as the shower. That said, great great location in a friendly neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pretty good for the price"
This is a nice hotel if you are a single guy/girl looking for a decent room in central London. The room is small and so is the toilet but I think thats true fro any hotel so centrally located in a major city. The location is perfect. "I was pleasantly surprised"
When having to travel to London on short notice and unable to book into one of my usual B&Bs, I had to look for another reasonably priced alternative. Of course, being on the weekend of the Queens Diamond Jubilee didn't help. The Tunes Hotel came up as an option in TripAdvisor, so I thought I'd give it a chance since it would only be one night. While […] the room was pretty small, it was clean, comfortable and conveniently located rignt across the street from the Lambeth North stop on the U and a five minute walk from the Waterloo Station. "Small rooms - good for a weekend not more"
Ok for one/two nights if you don't intend to spend much time in the room as it's incredibly small, specially the toilet. Aside from that it's a clean, comfortable and well taken care of, hotel. Bed was comfortable too, the area of the room is without doubt the major drawback.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tune Hotel (not) Westminster"
Great location once you know where you are, it certainly isn't in Westminster and my Fiancée and I walked for around 20 mins after arriving at Westminster tube. Luckily we didn't spend too much time in the room as it wasn't big enough to swing a cat in. Very clean, neat and tidy but for £100 a night midweek evening it didn't feel like good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent hotel. Rooms were a little small, but perfect for our needs. Bed linen was crisp and clean, rooms were spotless and customer service was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome - would definitely recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very overpriced and not worth the money"
For the charge of over 100 pounds for the night was an absolute rip off I have never stayed in a room so small with no tea or coffee facilities and you could not swing a cat in there very disappointed given I had just flown in from Australia and my friend had flown down from ScotlandGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was as expected a small compact room but with all that I needed to sleep and wash in. It is centrally located to all the tourist things you visit London for with local pubs nearby providing a great alternative for meal types. The only problem I had was my room was on the 6th floor and the lift stops at the 5th floor. I am a 65 year old man with luggage […] and after a long flight from Canada and the trip across London by train from Heathrow a little help to navigate the narrow stairs with a heavy case would have helped. Like Manhattan, Central London is overpriced and overcrowded. The appeal of these off centre locations, in local neighbourhoods is part of their charm. Price is the other. Lambeth is straight across the Thames from Parliament, a ten minute walk, but a world away - and all for the better. It has plenty of charm, many local cafes, restaurants, shops and […] pubs and all at a more reasonable rates. The Tune Hotel is the same. However, the draw back here is the size. The rooms are tiny and if you are of a tall or large frame then it will be a tight squeeze. But, let's be honest, you ain't in London to look at four walls and in that respect it serves its purpose well. I suppose it's the easy jet of hotels. It was clean, the staff were nice, it's location next to the underground - which has you in Piccadilly in 5 mins- could not be better. Overall, it delivered. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

On one hand it's a great location and staff were polite and apologised for keeping us waiting. It is a small room but very well designed. We took towels but found out that with hotels.com that towels are included (as is wifi and TV and safe). I wish this had been communicated beforehand. Being charged for basics like soap and towels makes me think of […] all the people who don't bother and have pooey hands touching everything. I guess even free soap is no guarantee.... While I feel that I should criticise the place at the same time if you keep in mind you're buying a comfy bed and hopefully have quiet neighbours (walls are very thin) and happy to go with the "ryanair" of Waterloo then actually it's quite attractive! "Tiny Room Even Smaller Facilities"
The Room was very small and was only just big enough to fit the bed in plus space to shuffle sideways down one side, the Bathroom was small with a tiny wash basin that you had to lean over the 45 degrees angled loo to use, there was nowhere to sit other than the bed , no heated towel rail so the towels were always cold & wet, comfy bed but in general […] too small for more than one night & I would use other Hotels unless I had no option The area was NOT Westminster but on the South of the River in Lambeth, I was not particularly comfortable walking around the Streets, there was very few places to eat other than basic café type places and I had to go elsewhere to get a decent meal, (I am not that fussy either) Of Note was that the Hotel Entrance is tiny and I walked passed it twice before finding it Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
