"Best Bang For Your Buck"
In a word: Excellent. Pricing point was well below average and the room (single person, bed, kitchen, and living room space) was more than enough space...especially for the London Area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but the location is not ideal"
The hotel itself is nice and clean but the location is far from ideal. You have a long walk from where the taxi drops you to get to the hotel....I had to do it with three suitcases. There are no porters and quite frankly the service was poor. Also, the hotel takes a caution deposit from you which they will keep if you fail to take out your trash or […] wash your dishes or leave the apartment in good order...I think this is a bit arbitrary as you would already have left by the time your deposit is refunded and you would not be able to challenge any decisions to keep all or part of your deposit. The area that the hotel is located in is quite run down. The main taxi service in that area does not even accept credit card payments...only cash. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good budget option."
If thisyou hotel costs 50% less than options in london then it is worth it. We got it cheap and it saved a lot of money. No frills hotel but convenient to heathrow and paddington via the Heathrow connect train. Good option for families on a budget or if you want to be close to airport. Fitness facility was a ways away but was nice and free. Neighbrhood […] is marginal but not dangerous. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good budget quality hotel"
This was an interesting experience. Nice and close to airport, easy to get to by using Heathrow Connect for about L5.60. The area is not inviting and it is not touristy at all. The hotel security though sound is almost scary and makes you wonder about the neighborhood. However, after you put away your fears and venture out, the locals are incredibly […] friendly and helpful. I came to love the neighborhood (industrial) and its close proximity to Heathrow and Paddington Station. (no more than 7 minutes in either direction). The apartments are nice, however there was an odor that was most unpleasing and the staff solution was to provide us with a can of spray and to turn on the fan. (smelled like a dead rat in the closet wall). I would stay again, but thoroughly inspect the room for smells before digging in. The apartment itself was clean and provided reasonable accommodations, especially for being in London. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Apartment was Great; Location was Not"
We stayed over one night before our flight back to the States. The apartment was lovely, but location left little to be desired. It was right near the train station and area did not see that good. "Next to train station!"
I would have given it 2 stars except for the responsiveness of the staff.. I was given a room on 6th floor which is the top floor. The rooms have all been reduced in size as these is holding concrete wall which also blocks all the view. On my complaint they moved me to the regular sized rooms that I should have been given the first time.. Apart from […] that the hotel itself is very conveniently located right next to train station. There is a Tesco next door for your supplies. A market nearby provides everything else. Very convenient. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Option for a Stay in London"
Pros: Great location, just next to the Hayes-Harrington Station for the London commuter lines. Don't get this mixed up with the Underground system, you will need to transfer to that line. The Hayes-Harrington Station is the first stop after Heathrow Airport Terminals 1 & 3 station, and has a 6 minute travel time. We stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment which […] had 2 single beds. There was a pullout couch, and we comfortable with one adult, one adult age kid, and a teenager. Kitchen was small but very useable with dishwasher, oven, and all the plates and silverware one could need. Cons: The internet access was very difficult to on to. Once we where able to get access, I was unable to use my ipad tablet because the system had trouble downloading anything with a picture on the website you were trying to access. "Location and price worked well for us."
The hotel is right at the Hayes Station which worked well for us. We were a family of 5 coming in to Heathrow Airport. We caught the "Heathrow Connect" from the airport to right by the hotel. We then used all day tickets to get into London and around the city. The Hotel was not as clean as expected with several reminders on the previous tenants activities […] left in the main bedroom. Floor could also have used a clean mopping. The manager on duty advised there was a "new" housekeeper that day and sent her back to our room. We were asked if we needed more towels, but we could not communicate the floor was not cleaned. Otherwise the stay was good and there is a food store next to the hotel for needed supplies during our stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"comfortable, with easy access to London"
The convenience of its location was great, just what we were looking for. Was a bit cramped for four people, but to be expected when staying in or around London. Nice to be able to be together as a family in a comfortable space. Getting in and out was confusing especially since they seemed to run out of the swipes for easier entrance (had to be buzzed […] in each time - bothersome). Should make sure there are enough of these 'fobs' for each room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We were entirely happy with our stay. The staff was really very welcoming and helpful. The accommodations were without flaw. "Great for a family"
We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters and this apartment was perfect for us. We only stayed for 1 night to be close to the airport for our last night in England, but should have stayed here for the London portion of our trip. There is a little market basically in the same building. It is very close to the airport. The only negatives (1) you […] have to pay to store your bags, £2/bag, the parking is safe and secure and if you are doing day trips and opt for a car I believe the parking is £14/day, and the location. The hotel is not on the "tube" it is on the national rail service - I believe the Healy-Harding stop. For a zone 1-6 day pass (unlimited trips) it was about £8.40 adult and £3.40 for kids. This is only slightly more expensive than a day in zone 1-3. It only takes about 10 minutes to get to paddington station tube stop where you can change to go where ever you need to. For us, the slight inconvenience of being slightly outside the main city was worth it for the space. The national rail stop is literally next door to the hotel and I found the woman working in the station very helpful. The hotel also has laundry facilities there at a reasonable rate. I would request a room on a higher floor if I were to stay again. We're were in room 101 and it was right next to the entrance so we could hear people coming I all night long. Not a big deal for 1 night but would have been a problem for me for a longer stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

In our recent trip to the UK we stayed twice at the Staycity in Hayes. I chose the place because of its location at a communications hub. This proved an excellent choice. Very nice hotel, clean, quiet. Great for a family vacation. Has kitchen with all utensils. You can do your laundry. You can go via train or cab. Take train it is cheaper. Would go again. Has market nearby to purchase groceries.Genuine Expedia guest review
The condition and amenities of Staycity, a new, budget suite hotel, are excellent other than their design around undersized bedrooms. I would stay here again. That's not to say that it's for everyone, Staycity is located next to the Hayesand Harlington Train station in the London borough of Hillingdon and it is only a 35-40 minute trip into Paddington. […] One would think that would make it easy to locate. However, our GPS and another guest's taxi driver could not locate it. The sign for the hotel is about 12 inches by 4 inches and it's almost impossible to see, especially at night. There is a Tesco nearby and local taxis that offer a good rate for Heathrow (about 12 pounds). Local taxis know the way. Black cabs out of Heathrow may well have no idea where the facility is if it is not described as immediately next to the Hayes and Harlingdon train station. The neighborhood is active and multi-ethnic. We arrived late at night and there were people outside talking, eating, and visiting but for the typical Anglo tourist this can be uncomfortable. At all times guests must ring a bell which is hard to see in the dark to be let in and one might feel that's because the hotel is in an unsafe area. Not so. I walked alone during the day throughout the area and enjoyed the feel. There are many young professionals taking the train into London. Local people are friendly as was the staff at the hotel. The hotel tariff is very good for a major city. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely for a long stay"
Once you find the hotel it is amazing.. The train station is literally a 5 sec walk from the hotel.. There is a store that sells basic food for your stay and some other odds and ends right next to the station. the only complaint i have is that the "complimentary cleaning" was scheduled the day after i arrived so we did not use it but they took the deposit […] for cleaning the place. I don't think that was very fair but whatever. The sofa bed was broken in our unit and we let the staff know and they said that they had record of it and we wouldn't be charged.. Im still waiting on the deposit if we even get any back?!?! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in an apartment for 4 days prior to our Mediterranean Cruise and it was clean, comfortable and convenient to the metro, which we utilized to travel all over Barcelona, plus the hotel provided shuttle service into the city which was good, however they need to more shuttle service because it only holds 11 people and if you missed that one well […] you had to make other arrangements, also they provide free shuttle service to and from the airport, but wasn't advertised so we spent 24 euros unnecessarily. The hotel has it's restaurants which were quite pricey and delicious, my personal favorite was breakfast, if that is not your style there are not many choices in the neighborhood, so eat in town or at the beach but don't get back to the hotel and decide you are hungry, unless you are prepared for a sit down fancy type dinner. I would stay there again, the staff was very helpful and polite. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean Hotel, Terrible Management & Staff"
This hotel is located in a multi-building, gated, high rise development. A dozen or so buildings scattered over several city blocks and NO signs at all on the exterior of the complex. The complex resembles Fort Knox, gates and barriers everywhere. Unfortunately, there is NO signage that would tell a person where to enter. Once you get in the complex […] (assuming you're lucky enough to get in), there are only a few, poorly placed signs, and these signs will not get you to the hotel. The staff joked about the fact that are not any signs and they told us that everyone complains about the lack of signs. According to other reviews, this has been a problem since the hotel opened, and the staff said there is no plan fix this problem. Consider arriving at the hotel with 4 full sized pieces of luggage, its raining, and you're in a run-down part of town (its not in the best of neighborhoods, hence the security), the cab driver doesn't know where the entrance is, the local folks don't know where the entrance is, the local business owners don't know were the entrance and the cabby wants to leave, because he doesn't feel safe. Once you do find the entrance, be prepared to carry your luggage up a HUGE flight of stairs and drag your luggage about 1/8 mile to the front desk. The front desk is located about a block from the street, and you're on your own to get you bags to your room. FEDEX refuses to deliver packages to hotel, as they can't find it either! Stay elsewhere. We arrived early, the room was ready and they still charged us extra money to check-in. Considering that the room was ready anyway, why the extra charge? "Nice hotel convenient to both London and Heathrow"
We were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel right at the last stop of the 350 bus from Heathrow. The bus ride took less than a half hour. We got a suite that was very clean and modern. The best part was there was a train terminal right behind the hotel that took us into Paddington station where we could use the Underground to get all over London. […] The train to Paddington took around 15-20 minutes. And the rooms were soundproof, we could not hear the trains at all. The only thing to remember is to read the rules since there are additional charges if you leave the place a mess (i.e. do not wash the dishes or throw your trash out before leaving). "Not a place to stay overnight"
This is not a hotel for an overnight stay. It is for people who are staying for a long time in London. It is situated in Hayes which is a 'bad part of town'. The hotel itself is safe and is locked pretty tight, it might seem too tight and make it difficult to get in after hours. If you find it difficult to navigate trains and subways, you will never […] find it. So you will take a taxi, it costs about 30 pounds to or from the airport. It is 40 pounds to or from central London. When you check in, they will require a hold on your credit card of $200 pounds in case you do not follow their list of rules: no parties, no extra people after 11pm, etc. There is no wake-up call service. And when you check out, you must pile your towels on the floor together, take out your own trash, and wash any dishes you may have used in the kitchen. If you are using this as an apartment, that would be okay, but as a hotel, it is too much concern when you are on vacation. Taxis: besides the astronomical price, they have a hard time finding this hotel and can get testy, that is not really good. But, the front staff will always call you taxi if asked. "Great for quick trips!"
I stayed here on an overnight layover in London and StayCity was great. Most people said that it was hard to find, but the building itself is a modern looking apartment complex that stands out among the cottage-filled town of Hayes. You do have to take the elevator to the second floor and walk through the courtyard to get to the StayCity office; don't […] mistake the downstairs lobby for the hotel office--it belongs to the apartment complex. The amenities were convenient, clean, and pleasant--room comes equipped with utensils, pots and pans, etc. The train is literally a block away and you can ride into London Paddington Station for about 11 pounds round trip. The neighborhood wasn't exactly the greatest, but also not so shady that I felt unsafe. It was the perfect place to stay for one night. I do, however, recommend taking the train to/from the airport if possible--a black cab cost me nearly 30 pounds; the train back to Heathrow was SO direct and easy, and was only 5.40.
